Good news! JR Smith’s Daughter Dakota Improving In The Hospital JR Smith and his wife are announcing that their premature baby is making more progress in the hospital. As previously reported JR and Jewel Harris shared the devastating news that they welcomed their daughter Dakota 5 months early. . @TheRealJRSmith and his wife share difficult family news. pic.twitter.com/efNsDANUo8 — UNINTERRUPTED (@uninterrupted) January 7, 2017 Following that the Cleveland Cavalier player announced that he was finally allowed to hold little Dakota who was born weighing a little over 1 pound. Now they’re marking another milestone, Dakota’s breathing tube has been removed. According to Jewel who has a “ MyKotaBear.com ” blog, her baby girl is no longer intubated. Jewel got the news when she went to visit her baby girl in the hospital and the primary nurse asked her if she wanted to hold her baby. According to Jewel, she initially said “no’, thinking that she wold have to go through the arduous process of holding a tubed baby…. “It’s a school night, I need to get back home to Demi and I know the kangaroo process will take too long…” but when the nurse told her that she no longer had her breathing tube, she quickly stripped out of her shirt and threw on a hospital gown. “When I tell y’all I hopped up so damn fast, took off my sweater that I had on and draped myself with a hospital robe in 2.5 seconds, my new nickname should have been Flash. […] What some mothers get to experience within the first 2 minutes of giving birth I had to wait 78 days but, what I will say is it was worth the wait because those very feelings, emotions and joy that took over my body trumps it all.” How sweet was Jewel’s story about little ‘Kota? Mother And Daughter Pronounced Dead, 30 Minutes Apart In Separate Highway Accidents The family of a mother and her daughter in Alabama are mourning twice as hard this week. Both Julia Yates Patterson and her daughter Libby Patterson died this week, in separate accidents, on the same highway stretch. According to NBC4 , Julia’s Ford Explorer collided with a head-on, a Dodge Ram truck. The fatal crash happened on Highway 117 around 3:00 p.m. She was 39 years old. Just minutes down the road, around the time Julia’s daughter was exiting her school bus, she was struck and killed by a car on the same highway. Police are unsure of why the child was near the highway. Family members say the girl, Elizabeth Patterson, was 8 years old. She went by “Libby” and had just celebrated her birthday last weekend. She was in second grade. The girl, like her mother, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sad.

By the lofty, suspenseful, bat $hit crazy and awesome standards set by Shonda Rhimes, Scandal Season 6 has been somewhat of a disappointment. Up until last night, the first half of this latest run could mostly be summed up by one sentence: Rowan killed Frankie Vargas. Aside from that development, nothing has really stood out on what has long been considered the most twisty and turny show on television. But then the final minute of Scandal Season 6 Episode 7 aired. And our jaws have remained on the floor ever since, having dropped completely at the hour’s stunning conclusion. As the build up to this cliffhanger, we witnessed Huck get close to Phoebe Neidhart’s Meg, the friend of Jennifer Fields, who was just revealed last week to still be alive. Meg demanded answers about her friend’s supposed death, specifically pushing for Olivia to assist her and asking all kinds of questions about the heroine of Huck. Following some hot and heavy floor sex, Huck attempted to shut this problem down by introducing Meg to Jennifer Fields, who, of course, isn’t actually dead. Problem solved, right? It appears to be when Jennifer seemed psyched to see her friend… until Meg took out a gun and shot her in the chest. From there, the episode leaped ahead to Meg having a sit-down with Abby in a park. “Is it done?” Abby asked, as viewers wondered whether she could truly be the traitor. After hearing the confirmation of Jennifer’s murder, Abby went ahead and really made us gasp with her follow-up and inquiry: “And Huck?” Ummm…. WHAT?!? Huh? Say it isn’t so, Abby! Please! The action then cut back to that hotel room Jennifer had been hiding out in, with Meg turning her weapon on Huck and shooting him directly in the chest. Numerous times. “Don’t worry, Ms. Wheelan. He’ll have no idea you were part of this,” Meg told Abby at the park. Is that because Huck is dead? For real? It wouldn’t shock us is the character was wearing a bulletproof vest, but it also wouldn’t totally shock us if he’s gone forever. It’s been awhile since Scandal featured a major death. Huck, of course, was on a mission from Olivia to kill her dad and learned in the process that Rowan was told to kill Frankie by someone who threatened a person close to him. Moreover, this same individual had planted a mole by Olivia’s side who possessed the power to “say the word, and she’s dead.” Could this really be Abby? The series clearly wants us to believe it is right now. Marriage Boot Camp has officially reached the point in its run where producers have decided to completely 86 the premise and just become that show where reality stars scream obscenities at each other, regardless of the nature of their relationship. Fortunately, they picked some of the most bonkers reality stars in the business, so we're not complaining. Farrah Abraham, Kendra Wilkinson, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson all apparently has serious beefs with their families, and they've confusingly come to the Marriage Boot Camp house to work things out. Yes, it's Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition, aka Marriage Boot Camp: Let's Be Honest, We Weren't Fixing Any Marriages Anyway. We figured the show had peaked with Tara Reid's drunken antics last year, but it turns out you can always ramp up the crazy by simply adding Farrah to the mix. “You're a stupid, dumb bitch,” Farrah yells at Debra Danielsen during one particularly therapeutic scene. The Farrah-Debra relationship has always been a toxic one, but the upside of that is they can usually be counted on to be the most batsh-t reality stars on any show about batsh-t reality stars. This time, however, it looks like Kendra and Patti may be able to give them a run for their money. “No mother wants their mother to be a whore,” Kendra's mother tells her in a scene that reminds us we're watching a serious show about serious therapy. Eh, who are we kidding? We can make fun of this show til the cows come home, but with a cast like that, we'll be front and center to watch the fireworks on April 28. Check out the full trailer below:
