Source: Lester Cohen / Getty Kendrick Lamar And Whitney Alford Welcome Their First Child Congratulations are in order for Kendrick Lamar and his longtime love Whitney Alford! The couple welcomed their first child together on Friday, July 26, Us Weekly confirmed . A source told the mag that the 33-year-old makeup artist gave birth to a baby girl last night. Kendrick is known for being quiet about his private life, so it’s really no surprise that he didn’t announce his high school sweetheart’s pregnancy ahead of their daughter’s arrival. Even though he doesn’t give the public much info about what’s going on back at home, the Pulitzer Prize winner did acknowledge his was engagement while promoting To Pimp a Butterfly on The Breakfast Club back in April of 2015. “At the end of the day, you want to always, always have real people around you, period. Whether it’s male or female, and everybody that’s been around me, they’ve been around since day one,” Kendrick said when being asked about Alford. “I always show respect when respect has been given, and people that have been by your side, you’re supposed to honor that.” The couple met while attending Centennial High School in Compton, California and have been together ever since. Fans noticed a few months ago that this 2 year stretch has been the longest we’ve gone without a new Kendrick Lamar album since his debut–but it looks like this new bundle of joy could be part of the reason why. After touring for what seems like forever following the release of DAMN , Kung Fu Kenny definitely deserves a break and some time off with family. Big congrats to the new parents!
Way back in January of 2017, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finalized their divorce by signing a non-disclosure agreement that prevented either side from talking about the split publicly. One of the goals of the agreement was to prevent messy court battles over statements made to the press. It seems the plan backfired in spectacular fashion, however, as Depp is currently suing Heard for $50 million, alleging that she violated the agreement by writing a Washington Post op-ed about her experiences as an abuse victim. Heard never referred to Depp by name, but given the high profile nature of their brief marriage and ugly divorce, there was little doubt whom she was talking about. Thus far, the court battle has been a nightmare for both parties, as new allegations of appalling behavior have been hurled in both directions. In written statements, Heard has called Depp an alcoholic “monster” who repeatedly assaulted her and tried to have her blacklisted in Hollywood following their divorce. Depp has countered by accusing Heard of painting bruises on her face and body in order to frame him for divorce. He claims that Heard tried to cut off his finger during one of the then-couple’s infamous 2015 meltdown in Australia. This week, in an amended filing, Depp made a new claim about that ugly altercation, claiming that when he tried to distance himself from Heard, the actress shoved a lit cigarette in his face. According to documents obtained by The Blast, Depp claims that Heard flew “into a rage” after she learned of his “intention to enter into a post-nuptial agreement.” Depp claims that at that point he had not had a drink in over a year, but retreated to a basement bar in the residence where the couple was staying in order to avoid Heard. “She followed him, screaming at him abusively,” Depp’s legal team writes. The filing goes on to claim that Heard became further enraged when she encountered Depp drinking vodka. At that point, she began hurling bottles. One of them shattered, resulting in Depp’s infamous severed finger. Allegedly not content with the damage she had done “Ms. Heard then put a cigarette out on [Depp’s] right cheek,” claims Johnny’s legal team. Heard’s lawyers have already fired back in a statement denying the accusation. “This allegation is absurd, offensive and categorically untrue,” the attorneys write. “ This photograph proves nothing – apart from the fact that Johnny Depp is desperate to throw out any outlandish allegation to deflect attention from his physical and ongoing psychological abuse of Amber Heard.” While it’s unclear how this latest allegation will be received by the judge, Depp’s legal team already scored a minor victory this week. The actor’s lawyers have been arguing that since Heard’s piece was published in D.C., the trial should take place in nearby Virginia, and not in California, as Heard’s attorneys wanted. As you’ve probably already heard, we’re in the midst of a full-blown Duggar baby boom. No fewer than 5 Duggar women are pregnant at the moment, and insiders say Jim Bob and Michelle couldn’t be happier about it. Of course, the Duggars practice strict conformity in all things, so the patriarch and matriarch can rest assured that their daughters will raise their kids in pretty much the same way that they themselves were raised. But they don’t have quite as much control over the way their niece will raise her forthcoming bundle of joy. Yes, along with four of her cousins, Amy Duggar is currently pregnant . And in case anyone doubted that her rebellious spirit would remain intact as she embarks upon the adventure of motherhood, she set the record straight with a recent Instagram exchange: “Just embracing my cool boy mom style!” Amy captioned the above photo. “I can handle dirt, fishing, hunting, I love the outdoors and camping and canoeing and little critters!” she added. “But I swear if my son ever brings me a snake or picks up a rat I will lose it!!” It wasn’t long before one of Amy’s followers pointed out that Amy’s son might not be into any of those things. “Amy, what if your son wants to dress up or play with dolls? Is that OK too?” Fortunately, Amy was quick to reply with the correct answer, writing: “We will love our child no matter what!” Now, Duggar fans are generally thought of as a highly conservative bunch. But as In Touch Weekl y points out Amy’s response received an outpouring of support: “TBH Amy has ALWAYS come off to me as the far more accepting ‘Duggar family member’ and I truly believe her when she says WE WILL LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT,” one person wrote. “Aww you’re gonna be the best, most amazing mom ever!” another replied. As for what Jim Bob thought of Amy’s response, that remains unclear. We know he frequently disapproves of his niece’s choices — such as her decision to have secular music and dancing at her wedding. And we know the Duggars are very big on the enforcement of traditional gender roles, to the point that Jill’s husband was willing to lose his job just so that he could harass a transgender teen on Twitter. It would be a massive understatement to say that Jenelle Evans has a habit of misleading the public. Evans lies so frequently in interviews and on social media that we're sure it's second-nature to her at this point. She's stated that David shot her dog in a fit of rage, and then abruptly changed her story and claimed that he did so only to protect his daughter. Shakes On a Plane Jenelle says her most recent cross-country flight caused her such pain that she took to lying in the aisle between seats, writhing and wailing. Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are speaking out about their relationship. Well, kind of … they’re being extremely difficult and misleading, but don’t worry, we’re picking up what they’re putting down. Which is that they are over , and most likely have been for quite some time. Following reports of a split earlier this week, the Riverdale co-stars took to their Instagram pages to post a joint photo from their W magazine cover story , which was published earlier today. But instead of positively promoting their interview, they decided to really throw fans a curveball and just confuse the heck out of us all. Not appreciated! “BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know s–t,” Reinhart captioned the picture to Instagram. Cole also shared the photo, writing, “UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.” Well, that’s a tad dramatic. Either way, the actors are obviously trying to make a point here. And sure, we don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, but we do know that the two requested to be interviewed separately for the publication, which is very suspicious. The story was written in May, two months before breakup rumors began to surface, which leads us to believe that things between the two have been rocky for some time now. “I’m so glad we’re making your job more difficult,” Sprouse told the interviewer. “We’re not fighting with the idea that people group us together, but we are paired up a lot.” Reinhart also explained at the time of the interview that there is more to them than just their relationship! “We’re acknowledging that we’re in a relationship, but it’s a small part of who we are as people.” “We want our own separate identities,” she tried to reason. And Cole also said that Lili is her own person, which is why it was so important for him that they do the interviews individually. No one is buying this, right? They also opened up about what it is like to deal with fame and how they are so successful at keeping their love life private. “No one knows how long we’ve been together, and no one will until we’re ready to say it,” Reinhart shared. “No one knows how we fell in love, except for our close friends and us. It’s really special.” And even though the couple clapped back at the breakup reports after they believed to have been profiled in W’s latest issue, the two did note in the article that they “would part ways romantically.” But they just said?? … ok, forget it. They were able to get away from the awkward relationship topic and switch things up by reflecting on fame and how their lives had changed since appearing on the CW series. “Only three years ago, I was eating $2 hot dogs from 7-Eleven every day,” Lili said. “I applied to Urban Outfitters and a tanning salon before I booked Riverdale . It’s not like I’m used to this life.” Sprouse, however, who grew up as a child star thanks to the Disney Channel and his twin brother, says he is now in a place where he is “chasing a lifestyle.” Fine. But we would just like to know if real life Bughead is chasing each other, or…?? Has that ship actually sailed?? All we do know is that Lili and Cole were so not here for that article. And that we would appreciate some answers. We all know that only about 40 percent of reality television bears any resemblance to reality, and the other 60 percent is just badly-scripted primetime soap drama with sufficient product placement to offset the fact that the entire audience is fast-forwarding through the commercials. But usually, major events like weddings are legit occurrences in the lives of the cast members. Which is why Vanderpump Rules fans were shocked to learn this week that Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are not actually married. Maloney and Schwartz’s wedding was featured on the show back in Season 5. It was a memorable occasion for many reasons, not the least of which is Tom’s baffling decision to bathe in a freakin’ river beforehand. Anyway, it turns out that despite exchanging vows on camera, Tom and Katie are not are not legally wed and never have been. The news was accidentally revealed by Lance Bass of NSync in a recent podcast interview. Bass apparently officiated the recent wedding of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright , and when the topic of Vanderpump marriages came up, he had some surprising things to say about the first SUR couple to tie the knot: “So, yeah, I hope that [Jax and Brittany] are married because we just found out that Tom and Katie are not married,” Bass said. “They did not send in their materials right. So, they are not married.” Bass followed up on his comments during a Good Morning America interview on Wednesday: “Lot of times people forget that I’ve been in entertainment news for the last 15 years,” he said. “So, you know, when there’s pieces of nuggets out there, I’m going to talk about it.” “I didn’t know it was a secret,” Bass added. “I don’t know reality television like that. I apologize, I’m sorry. You’ll just have to watch. You’ll have to see the show to see what really happens.” Uh … casually dropping bombshell information during an interview and then teasing that fans will have to tune in to the show to see how it all plays out? Sounds like Lance understands a lot about reality television. But we digress … The important thing is that it looks as though the upcoming season of Vanderpump will feature not one, but two weddings. E! News has confirmed that Tom and Katie have obtained a marriage license , and based on their latest Instagram activity, it seems the entire VPR cast is currently assembled in Las Vegas. (Well, all except for Billie Lee, who quit the show last week. Of course, it seems unlikely that Katie would’ve invited the SUR hostess, anyway …) Tom and Katie’s second ceremony sounds like a quickie affair, and on the show, it’ll probably be overshadowed by Jax and Brittany’s nuptials. We suppose that’s fair, considering Schwartz and Maloney already had one televised wedding. But hey, at least it’ll spare us from this entire season being devoted to Jax and Brit’s planning process … especially considering that process already ate up a ton of screentime last season.
