2016 MTV VMA Nominations The 2016 VMA nominations were announced live this afternoon, unveiling the nods with mural art in NYC. To absolutely no one’s surprise, Beyonce’s Lemonade swept nearly every category — sometimes more than one visual from the project per category. So it’s time to get those thumbs working to make sure your faves take moonmen home in their respective categories… Via MTV : Stretch your voting fingers, because your 2016 MTV Video Music Award nominations are here. Leading this year’s nominees is none other than Beyoncé, who’s up for 11 (!) awards, including Video of the Year for “Formation” and the newest VMA category, Breakthrough Long Form Video, for her groundbreaking HBO special Lemonade. That’s the most nominations she’s ever gotten in a single year. Adele comes in second with a total of eight nominations, seven of which are for her iconic “Hello” visual, including Video of the Year. Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” and Kanye West’s “Famous” are also up for Video of the Year. The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. But one very notable name was completely SHUT OUT from the ceremony this year. Looks like MTV RSVP’s to the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty as well, because they paid America’s Petty Princess absolute dust in all of this year’s categories this year. So it doesn’t appear that Kanye will have a reason to storm the stage this time around… Oh well. She launched a new product from her Kylie Cosmetics line today, which sold out in no time. Despite this, young Kylie Jenner might be poor AF. Jenner is reportedly bragging to friends that she’s rolling in cash, but according to Radar Online, that is very far from the truth. “She’s putting it out there that she’s got upwards of $10 million in her account , but the truth is that she’s worth less than a quarter of that,” a source claims. The source also points out that Jenner’s business is not doing as well as she and her team would lead people to believe. “Kylie’s poured millions into her ill-performing cosmetics company, plus she’s quietly sponsored a bunch of Tyga’s friends who’ve hit her up for loans that total hundreds of thousands at a time.” Ah yes. A few months ago, Jenner allegedly asked Tyga to pay back the $2 million she loaned him . Tyga was shocked because he thought it was a gift. Michigan Man Saws Neighbor’s Racist White Supremacy Sign In Half Donald Trump has truly empowered some of these white people to be as bold as they’ve ever been with their bigotry. Via NYDN A Michigan man outraged by a racist sign saying “Make the township white again” could be seen on video sawing the plywood board in half Sunday. The Donald Trump supporter who installed the sign by the side of the road in Flushing Township threatened to file trespassing charges against T.J. Tarrant and Chase Frechette. Yet a Facebook video filmed by Frechette of Tarrant using his circular saw to slice the spray-painted sign in half had drawn over 76,000 views by Tuesday afternoon. “You know what I think about this piece of s–t motherf—–g sign right here?” Tarrant said in the video. “Watch this. Race Matters: Michigan Man Saws Neighbor’s Racist “Make The Township White Again”

Was The South Carolina Murder Of A 9-Year-Old And Her Grandmother Racially Motivated The same state that brought us Dylann Roof is also home to allegedly murderous married couple Cephas and Kathrine Cowick, who have been arrested for the double homicide of a 9-year-old black girl and her 52 year old grandmother. According to WBTW reports : Cephas Cowick, 23, and Kathrine Baucom Cowick, 25, have been charged with murder and are in police custody. Sheriff Byrd confirmed that the two suspects were husband and wife. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee found two people dead after responding to a call Sunday morning. Sheriff Wayne Byrd says the call came in around 11:54 Sunday morning for two dead people at a home off Highway 151 near the Darlington Dragway. One of the victims is a nine-year-old and the other is the child’s grandmother. Hardee identified the victims Monday morning as Deziyah Davis, 9, and her grandmother Denise Couplin, 52 of Darlington. Coroner Hardee has ruled the incident a double homicide. This is so sad. We haven’t seen anything mentioned about this incident being racially motivated but we can’t help but to wonder if it was. There have been several updates to this story since the Cowick’s arrest. Third degree arson, criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, first degree burglary, grand larceny less than $10,000 and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. It turns out they allegedly robbed Couplin’s home during the incident. Both suspects are being held at the Darlington County Detention Center without bond. Their court date has been set for Sept. 28. There were two other children home at the time of the murders who managed to escape to a neighbor’s home. Those kids have been taking into custody of the Department of Social Services while family members work to regain custody. A joint funeral was held for Davis and Couplin on Sunday July, 24 at 12:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hartsville, according to family members. Facebook/Darlington County Detention Center
