Lamar Odom Enters Rehab for Substance Abuse

Lamar Odom has finally admitted that he has a problem. Following weeks of downward spiraling that included being kicked out of the home he shares with Khloe Kardashian and being arrested for DUI, the basketball star has reportedly checked into a rehab facility. Details on the location and/or specialty of the treatment center have not been disclosed. “He realized he needs help,” a source tells People of Lamar’s decision , which Khloe and other loved ones have been pushing for since mid-summer. Earlier this week, an unnamed individual gave an interview in which he claimed to be Odom’s drug dealer and detailed the celebrity’s ongoing cocaine addiction . Other reports have indicated that Odom has been excessively taking Ambien and Oxycontin. The 32-year old also violated the NBA’s drug policies twice in 2001 and admitted to serious marijuana use in a 2003 interview. “I just couldn’t control myself in L.A…. the lifestyle that I was living and the things I had access to,” he said at the time. Let’s all hope this is the final step Lamar needs to get better.

Hide ya kids ! Woman Tries To Kill Ex’s Son With Dumbbell Via CBS Balitmore reports: Prince George’s County police say a woman broke into her ex-boyfriend’s home and tried to bludgeon his sleeping 8-year-old son to death. Police announced Tuesday that Helen Marie Newsome, 26, broke into the home in Landover over the weekend. After hiding for more than 12 hours until the boy’s father went to work Saturday morning, police say Newsome covered the boy’s head with a pillow and beat him with a dumbbell weight. But the boy fought back and managed to escape to a neighbor’s home. Newsome jumped out a window, but police say she was arrested nearby. The boy’s father recently broke up with Newsome. She is charged with first-degree attempted murder. CBS

A few weeks ago a little birdy told us that Mona Scott was cooking up a new version of “Love and Hip-Hop” that had already begun filming in L.A. Our source told us that Teairra Mari and Ray J were among names discussed for the latest spinoff. We asked Ray J about the rumors when we interviewed him for the BMI Awards but he denied knowledge of the spinoff (you know how that goes).
