Congratulations: Bron Bron And The Miami Heat Beat Celtics And Head To NBA Finals To Face OKC Thunder

Miami Heat Defeat Boston Celtics And Moves On To NBA Finals Bron Bron trying to get some championship ring action in full effect… LeBron James finally got a Game 7 victory, on his third try. Next up, the NBA finals – and his third try at that elusive first championship. A year after watching someone else celebrate on their home floor, the Miami Heat were the ones dancing at midcourt. James had 31 points and 12 rebounds, Chris Bosh hit a career-best three 3-pointers – the last sparking the run that put it away – and the Heat won their second straight Eastern Conference title by beating the Boston Celtics 101-88 in Game 7 on Saturday night. Miami opens the title series in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. The Heat got there by outscoring Boston 28-15 in the fourth quarter, with the “Big Three” of Dwyane Wade, Bosh and James scoring every Miami point. “We decided to come together and play together for a reason,” Wade said. Wade scored 23 points, Bosh finished with 19 and Shane Battier added 12 for the Heat, who won a Game 7 for the first time since 2004 – Wade’s rookie season. Now it’s back to the finals, where Miami fell in six games to Dallas a year ago. Boston ran out to a 23-14 lead, before the Heat settled down and tied it twice in the second quarter, the last of those at 35-all with 6:50 left. It was then that Garnett left with his third foul. Heat on a run, Garnett going to the bench, so momentum Miami, right? Not quite. Bass scored 10 points in a stretch of just over 3 minutes to spark a 14-3 run, with the Celtics scoring three times off turnovers in that stretch. Allen waltzed in unbothered for a layup with 22 seconds left in the half, and Boston took a 53-46 lead into the break. And the least surprised person in the arena was Rivers, who sensed at the morning shootaround that his team would be sharp for Game 7. They were. Just in the end, Miami was sharper. “That’s what we talk about,” said James, who lost Game 7 appearances with Cleveland in 2006 and 2008. “It has to be a collective group to win the championship. Everybody was in tune today. We wanted to give our fans a big win. We look forward to the next challenge.” What do y’all think?? Can that shady “Big 3″ bring home a ring this year?? Source

Jordan Hill Charged with Assault, Vows to Play On

Jordan Hill, a power forward the Los Angeles Lakers acquired from the Houston Rockets about halfway through the season, has been charged with felony assault stemming from an alleged altercation in February. According to police, Hill faces accusations that he pushed and choked 28-year old Darlene Luna, his girlfriend of two years, on the afternoon of February 29. If convicted of the third-degree felony, Hill would face a sentence of two to 10 years in jail, along with a $10,00 fine. He will have to face the charge inside a Houston tomorrow morning, while the team is scheduled to play its second game of the playoffs tomorrow evening. But Hill practiced with the Lakers today and faced the media afterward. He released a statement that said he’d remain focused on Los Angeles’ drive to a title. “I’m saddened to learn of the accusations that were filed against me today. At this time I cannot comment further other than to say that my attorneys are working to gather all of the facts and evidence and I plan to cooperate completely with the authorities. “I’d like to apologize to the Lakers organization and to all of their fans for the untimeliness of these accusations. I promise to keep my focus and attention on the playoffs during this time and to helping my team win another championship.” Hill had a very strong opening game in the Lakers defeat of the Nuggets on Sunday, pulling down 10 rebounds to go with 10 points.

Green Day, Tokio Hotel In Tight Race For Musical March Madness Gold

With hours left to vote, our 2012 championship game is shaping up to be one for the ages … polls close tonight at midnight ET! By James Montgomery Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and Tokio Hotel’s Bill Kaulitz Photo: Getty Images At this point, we probably shouldn’t be surprised. After all, if anything, the 2012 Musical March Madness tournament has been a wild ride, with upsets aplenty, epic, scoreboard-busting shootouts galore and vitriolic back-and-forths between fans. So, it’s fitting that our championship matchup — which pits reigning champs Green Day against unstoppable juggernaut Tokio Hotel — would play out like this. In short, it’s incredibly close. And with just hours left to go in the voting (polls close tonight at midnight ET), it’s looking more and more like the 2012 title game is going to come right down to the wire. As if this whole thing could’ve ended any other way. Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Musical March Madness interactive bracket! We’ve been keeping the numbers secret — suspense! — and we’ll reveal the 2012 champion Wednesday (April 4) on MTVNews.com. But until then, let’s bring you up to speed on what’s already been a championship battle for the ages! Showing that they weren’t about to be intimidated by the defending champs, Tokio Hotel came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, leaping out to a commanding lead within hours of the polls opening Monday morning. Rattled, Green Day were forced to call a time-out, and after a fire-and-brimstone speech from head coach Billie Joe Armstrong — not to mention a full-court Facebook press — the East Bay boys showed their championship pedigree, closing the gap by the afternoon. And unlike the actual March Madness championship game, this one has been a rollercoaster ride ever since, with each band seizing — and subsequently losing — the lead. At their highest point, Tokio led by nearly 200,000 votes, while Green Day’s biggest advantage was less than 100,000. And in a matchup that’s seen nearly 3 million votes cast already, well, you get an idea of how close this thing has been. Right now, with hours left in the contest, it’s Tokio Hotel who hold the lead, and stand on the precipice of finally hoisting the MMM trophy. Of course, given that everyone makes a run in Musical March Madness, Green Day have once again surged to within striking distance … they’re not about to let their championship reign end without a fight. But can they complete the comeback? Or will Tokio Hotel take home their first-ever championship? We’re headed into the home-stretch, and, really, we have no idea. Then again, we wouldn’t have it any other way; MMM 2012 has been one for the ages, and the championship game is definitely only adding to its legacy. So, who’s it gonna be? Green Day or Tokio Hotel? Someone’s going to win the MMM championship tonight, and you determine who will reign supreme. Polls close tonight at midnight ET, so time is running out … vote now, or forever hold your peace. Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Musical March Madness interactive bracket! The 2012 Musical March Madness championship is coming down to the wire! Will Green Day repeat, or can Tokio Hotel finally win it all? Voting runs until midnight ET on Tuesday, April 3, so there’s still time to help determine the winner. You can rally the troops on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM or by downloading one of our custom badges — and we’ll reveal our 2012 champion on Wednesday on MTVNews.com Related Videos Musical March Madness Heats Up! Various celebrities offering their own unique takes on how our national anthem should sound is nothing new. We’ve witnessed everyone from Roseanne Barr to Carl Lewis to Steven Tyler to a whole plethora of others take it upon themselves to butcher The Star-Spangled Banner, so it’s hard to really surprise folks with a bad performance these days – even if it’s really bad. Evanescence, Green Day, Tokio Hotel, My Chemical Romance: Musical March Madness Final Four!

After three weeks of battles, one of these four will take home the MMM title; voting in all Final Four matchups is now open! By James Montgomery Evanescence’s Amy Lee Photo: Getty Images Well, that was intense. After 48 hours of epic Elite Eight battles, we’ve reached the Final Four of MTV’s Musical March Madness . And while making it this far is certainly an accomplishment, there’s not exactly a whole lot of time to sit around and savor it. That’s because voting in our Final Four matchups is already under way, and polls will remain open until Sunday (April 1) at midnight ET. You’ve carried your favorite band to the cusp of championship glory, but can you help push them over the top? Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Musical March Madness interactive bracket! Let’s take a look at the four bands still standing in MMM: true, tourney-tested squads that have survived three weeks of brutal back-and-forth battles just to make it to this point. In a way, they’re all champions; too bad only one will actually be able to call themselves that. #5 My Chemical Romance vs. #5 Green Day My Chem are the champions of the Midwest region, having survived a furious rally from upset-minded Metallica in the Elite Eight (seriously, with more than 600,000 votes cast, MCR won by 400 ). Meanwhile, defending MMM champs Green Day had to stage a serious comeback of their own against Adam Lambert, who led until late Thursday before succumbing to GD’s full-court press. At this point of the tournament, there truly are no easy matchups, and this one, well, it’s going to be a war. Both bands have been put through the wringer, and both know how to win a close contest; can My Chemical Romance finally take home the MMM title (they’ve been in the Final Four three consecutive years), or will Green Day make history as the first band to repeat as champions? All we can do is wait and see … #1 Evanescence vs. #12 Tokio Hotel Speaking of history: Congratulations to Evanescence, the first #1 seed to make the MMM Final Four. They’ve battled hard throughout the tournament, having bested tough foes like Paramore, Linkin Park and Dave Matthews Band just to reach this point. As a reward, they draw perhaps the toughest opponent in the entire field: Tokio Hotel, a band that’s steamrolled their way through the competition. They’ve throttled all challengers and even got revenge (big time) against rivals Coheed and Cambria in the Elite Eight. No two bands have enjoyed as much fan support in MMM 2012, which is why we’re certain this one’s going to be a classic. And not to go out on a limb here, but we suspect the winner of this one may very well be the band hoisting the championship trophy next week. No pressure or anything. Is your favorite band still alive in the Final Four? Help carry them to the championship — or assist in shattering some dreams — by voting now. Polls close Sunday at midnight, so get cracking — we’re so close to crowning a champ! Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Musical March Madness interactive bracket! MTV’s 2012 Musical March Madness tournament reaches the Elite Eight! Voting runs until midnight ET on Thursday, March 29, and winners are determined by fan votes, so if your favorite act is still alive, it’ll be up to you to guide them to glory. You can rally the troops on Twitter using the hashtag #MMM or by downloading one of our custom badges — but get ready, it only gets more difficult from here on out. Madonna’s Super Bowl Show: Halftime Fumbles

Queen of Pop slips and M.I.A. flashes the bird during performance. By James Dinh Nicki Minaj, Madonna and M.I.A. perform at Super Bowl XLVI Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic During the 13 minutes Madonna took over Super Bowl XLVI for her highly anticipated halftime show, there were plenty of surprise cameos, high-tech stage lights and, of course, some of the biggest classics in pop music. But even though the Queen of Pop’s glitzy show Sunday night (February 5) appeared to run smoothly, the over-the-top theatrics might have shadowed some of the fumbles. Take a look at the list of onstage slip-ups MTV News caught during the pop performer’s set. Madonna’s Almost Fall(s) It was only a few minutes into the show, but Madonna lost her balance and almost fell as she jumped around the flashing bleachers with her dancers during her performance of “Music.” She also teetered a few minutes later while getting up after getting down with LMFAO . Fortunately, the singer found her ground and demonstrated how a professional handles a little performance slipup, continuing without missing a beat. M.I.A.’s Finger Flash Madonna wouldn’t be Madonna without even a little controversy, but this time, it wasn’t even her fault. During the performance of the pop titan’s new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin,” M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj appeared as sideline cheerleaders to spit their rap contribution to the pop gem. Known for her rebellious attitude, M.I.A. flashed her middle finger for a split second that has already fueled headlines all over the Internet. Backing Track While Madge is getting lots of love from celebrities, there are many who are criticizing the Queen of Pop for what appears to be a mostly backing-track performance. However, lip-synching isn’t unfamiliar territory for the Super Bowl. Back in 2009, the championship game’s producer Ricky Minor told the Associated Press that he requested Jennifer Hudson lip-synch her rendition of the national anthem to limit the chances of possible mistakes. Did you catch any other fumbles during Madge’s performance? Tell us below! Related Photos Super Bowl XLVI Performances: Madonna And Kelly Clarkson Related Artists Madonna Nicki Minaj Lmfao M.I.A.

Super Bowl 46: Timbaland Picks Patriots For Win

Hitmaker produced a song dedicated to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski ahead of tonight’s Big Game against Big Blue. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Ricky Louis Timbaland Photo: Jason Campbell/MTV The biggest sporting event of the year is just a few hours away, and in the moments leading up to Super Bowl XLVI , everyone seems to be picking a side. Multiplatinum producer Timbaland , who’s looking for the New England Patriots to defeat the New York Giants on Sunday night (February 5), decided to make a song about it. “I just did it almost to be playing around, just to do it,” Timbaland told MTV News on Friday from his home in Miami. “It turned out bigger than what I thought.” The song, which is dedicated to Patriots tight end Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski was uploaded to YouTube last week with the football star’s name as its title. The track was produced by Virginia native Tim and Wizz Dumb, but it’s newcomer Brasco who rhymes on the energetic tune. “They’re yelling, ‘Touchdown, touchdown, 87, 87,” he raps, referring to Gronk’s number. Gronkowski has 90 catches and 17 touchdowns this season but after suffering a high-ankle sprain, #87 is listed as questionable and may not play in the Super Bowl, though multiple sources tell ESPN that Gronkowski is doing better and is expected to play. Whether or not Gronk plays, Timbaland is rooting for New England. “I’ve always been a Tom Brady fan,” he said of the Pats’ quarterback and biggest star. “I’ve always liked the Patriots, how they move, how the coach coaches, how the players — you don’t hear too much about their business in the media.” The last time these two teams faced off for the championship was in 2008’s Super Bowl XLII, and the Giants came out on top. So for New England and their faithful following, Sunday’s big game is a chance at redemption. “It’s like a fight. You get one up, the Giants got one up so, of course, the Patriots gotta win,” Timbaland said. “If the Patriots win, it’ll be a tie. … Hopefully, they’ll win. I think they’re ready.” Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl XLVI? Tell us on our Facebook page! Related Photos Super Bowl Halftime Performances: A Legacy Of Rock Related Artists Timbaland
