I’m sure Channing Tatum ‘s real life high school reunion was just like yours: Equal parts awkward, fun, and harrowing, with a few Step Up -style dance-offs. Watch Tatum and a deep cast of fellow millennials like Anthony Mackie, Justin Long, Kate Mara, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Ari Graynor, Rosario Dawson, and Jenna Dewan in 10 Years and be thankful that your totally ’90s yearbook photos are safely tucked away in a dark, safe place and not being put on blast in a movie trailer. Ten Years marks the directorial debut of writer Jamie Linden ( We Are Marshall , Dear John ) and is produced by Tatum and his Magic Mike partner Reid Carolin. With Tatum and offscreen wife Dewan playing his onscreen girlfriend, this is a Step Up reunion of sorts… and a Mackie/Brian Geraghty Hurt Locker reunion… and a We Are Marshall reunion… and a What’s Your Number reunion… and a Dear John reunion… Verdict: Vicariously living through other people’s high school reunion > attending your own? Synopsis (via Yahoo ): In this ensemble comedy, 10 Years follows a group of friends on the night of their high school reunion who, a decade later, still haven’t quite grown up. Channing Tatum plays Jake, who is deeply in love with his girlfriend (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and ready to propose—until he runs into his high school flame (Rosario Dawson) for the first time in years. Jake’s friend Cully (played by funnyman Chris Pratt) married his cheerleader girlfriend (Ari Graynor), and has been looking forward to the reunion so he can finally apologize to all the classmates he bullied in high school. However, after a few too many drinks, the jock-turned-family man ends up reverting back to his old ways instead. Meanwhile, longtime rivals Marty (Justin Long) and A.J (Max Minghella) spend the night picking up right where they left off, vying to impress the hottest girl in class (Lynn Collins). The famous one of the group, Reeves (Oscar Isaac) is now a rock star, but is still too shy to talk to his high school crush (Kate Mara.) Written and directed by Jamie Linden, and produced by Channing Tatum, 10 Years also stars Brian Geraghty, Ron Livingston, Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, Scott Porter, Aaron Yoo and Nick Zano. 10 YEARS hits theaters September 14, 2012 .

He-Man Steps Up: Jon M. Chu In Talks For Live-Action Masters of the Universe

By the power of Grayskull, get ready for this: The Masters of the Universe reboot is back on the docket, with news that Jon M. Chu ( Step Up 2 The Streets , Justin Bieber: Never Say Never , G.I. Joe: Retaliation ) is in talks to helm the He-Man flick. Per Deadline, “the film revolves around He-Man, a prince who transforms into a warrior and becomes the last hope for a magical world that has been ravaged by the sinister Skeletor.” Well, duh . Chu, who revitalized and set the pace for the Step Up franchise post-Channing Tatum then handily served up Bieber Fever with a well-conceived flick of that mop-top in 3-D, is currently converting G.I. Joe to 3-D for Paramount and directing Bieber’s live concert tour. On top of that, the success of his superhero webseries The LXD gave way to an entire YouTube channel ( DS2DIO ) dedicated to dance. He’s a busy guy with his hands in a number of youth-oriented projects and in his last three features has demonstrated a visionary knack utilizing dimensionalized space, although post-converting Joe wasn’t his first choice . Will his Masters of the Universe also go 3-D? I wouldn’t be surprised, but Sony Pictures and Escape Artists had better give Chu the time and money he needs up front if they’re even thinking of putting MoTU out in a souped-up format. Although we’ve got months to go to see if fans embrace or revolt against Chu’s version of G.I. Joe , Masters of the Universe devotees should take this as a good thing: Chu is nothing if not mindful of paying fan service to beloved properties. Besides, someone’s already mucked up He-Man on the big screen, and how . And it won’t be like this (probably): The next question is: Who could play He-Man? (And then: If MoTU is a hit, could She-Ra follow ?) Discuss! [ Deadline ]

Carly Rae Jepsen Nude Photo Hack Leads to Investigation

Yup, it’s official: Carly Rae Jepsen is a superstar. Not because she’s behind the top song on the Billboard 200, but because – like Scarlet Johannson and so many famous beauties before her – the 26-year old Canadian has reportedly had her email hacked, and naked photos of the singer are on the loose as a result. TMZ confirms the pictures in question are NOT the images that led to a Carly Rae Jepsen sex tape rumor earlier this week. But they are apparently legitimate, as the Vancouver Police Department is looking into the cyber crime . A rep tells the site that an investigation “in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen” is underway and that a suspect has been apprehended. Incredibly, this is merely the latest naked scandal to surround Justin Bieber’s protege. Just a few weeks ago, topless pictures purported to be of Jepsen also surfaced, but a model named Destiny Benedict eventually took credit for them. Call this the life of a pretty young celebrity. Marlon Jackson Breaks Down, Asks: Where is My Mother?!?

Here is the latest in the ever-growing Jackson family saga: With Katherine Jackson supposedly safe and sound in Arizona, Marlon, Tito and Jackie Jackson appeared on The Insider yesterday and expressed consternation and anger over the whereabouts of their mother. “We’ve been told that our mother is safe,” Marlon told Kevin Frazier. “She’s doing well. But we have not spoken to her. We have not talked to her and I don’t know where my mother is.” The brother of Michael Jackson then choked up and grew animated. He lashed out: “All I know is she is in Arizona, and whatever doctor is saying I can’t talk to my mother you call ME!” Marlon’s sibling, Randy, claims he whisked Katherine off to Arizona under doctor’s orders. But no one has been able to explain why she’s gone nearly two weeks now without making any contact with some of her kids and all three of her grandchildren. As a result of this mystery, TJ Jackson is pursuing legal avenues to take over guardianship of Paris, Prince and Blanket (MJ’s daughter and sons). Most believe this giant mess is related to Michael Jackson’s will, which is being contested by Randy Jackson because it leaves the entirety of the singer’s estate to his children and he’s now using Katherine to try and get the document invalidated. Tito Jackson, however, backed away from that plot this week, publicly stating that he wanted nothing to do with a letter sent by Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie and Randy that challenged the authority and actions of the executor’s of MJ’s will. “I completely retract my signature from the July 17th letter sent to the Executors of my brother Michael’s estate and repudiate all the claims made against them,” Tito told TMZ. “I don’t want any part of that letter whatsoever.”

Channing Tatum: Open to Fifty Shades of Grey Role! Sort Of!

Channing Tatum has thrown his well-chiseled abs and buns of steel hat into the Fifty Shades of Grey ring. Sort of. Asked during a Glamour -sponsored Twitter Q&A with fans this week about the main role of Christian Grey in that upcoming big screen adaption, the Magic Mike star simply said YES, he’d be open to the role… … but he added a caveat: “I’d only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She’s read the books so I don’t think she’d be impressed if she couldn’t be Ana!” Tatum is married to actress Jenna Dewan. But she might need to get in line behind Emma Watson, who is reportedly a leading candidate for the character of Anastasia Steele . Other actors that have expressed interest in portraying Christian include Ian Somerhalder, Ryan Gosling, and Alexander Skarsgard. Would you want to see Tatum in this sexy role?

Expect those American Idol judging rumors to only grow louder now. Appearing this morning on The Today Show , Jennifer Lopez was asked about her status on the Fox smash and told Natalie Morales: “I love everybody, I love the guys [Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and host Ryan Seacrest], but I am thinking it’s time for me to go and do other things I love to do like films.” This isn’t the first time that J. Lo has hinted at a departure, though it was seen as a contract negotiation a year ago. However, following a disappointing ratings season, producers may want to go in a wholly different direction on Season 12. Potential replacement, according to recent chatter, include Adam Lambert , Miley Cyrus… and Charlie Sheen ? Do you want to see Jennifer Lopez as a judge next season?

Magic Mike 2: Channing Tatum Confirms Sequel!

Mike is not done working his magic by a long shot. With the web buzzing over a possible Magic Mike 2 , the hit film’s star Channing Tatum took to Twitter this week to address the rumors … and confirmed them! “Yes yes and yes! We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger,” he writes, possibly waiting for your obvious punchline. Because it’s ostensibly a male stripper movie, Magic Mike was something of a surprise hit with critics and fans alike, banking $39 million in one weekend. Tatum has received rave reviews, and there’s even been some Oscar talk – and not unwarranted – surrounding supporting actor Matthew McConaughey.
