Magic Mike 2 Script Writing: Underway!

Break out the dollar bills, ladies. Heck, you, too, men: Magic Mike 2 really is a go! Following mere chatter over a follow-up to Steven Soderbergh’s 2012 hit, Channing Tatum has now given fans a reason to get legitimately excited. He posted a photo to Facebook this week of himself at a desk, staring at a bust of Matthew McConaughey’s mug, and wrote as a caption to the image: “What better way to start writing Magic Mike 2 than with my old friend Dallas?”  Tatum first confirmed a sequel in July 2012, but little had been mentioned about the project until now. A Magic Mike musical is also set for Broadway, meaning fans will get their fill of men dancing around half-naked both on stage and on the big screen in the near future. Ireland Baldwin Welcomes Sister to Family, Offers Life Advice

As of yesterday, Alec Baldwin is a new father … which means Ireland Baldwin is a new sister. Which has led the 17-year old to write a long, heartfelt, humorous letter of advice to little Carmen Gabriela. Begins the missive, which Ireland wrote on Twitter: “You will eventually make your own decisions, but hopefully you will listen to and use the knowledge I have gained from my past experiences and from the results of my many mistakes.” Never one to be shy with her feelings (she thinks the paparazzi are doo doo head dummies ), Ireland included a mature message about kids and their parents at the outset of the message. “Remember that your parents will always love you,” she wrote. “As a kid, you forget that sometimes. When they are screaming about this and bickering about that. It hurts. Grown ups yell. I don’t know why, but they do. No matter what your mom or Dad says or does, simply remember that they love the s–t out of you. NEVER forget it.” When she was 11, of course, Ireland was in the news because her famous father left a voicemail in which he referred to her as a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” By the time Carmen reads this, Ireland added,” she hopes the siblings will “be best friends, sitting in some rad coffee shop in Brooklyn, talking about bands and how… Channing Tatum used to be hot. Maybe cars will be hovering and s–t.” A very sweet idea and letter all around, which included the following advice about fighting: “WALK AWAY.” Let’s hope Ireland and Carmen’s dad takes heed of it.

Sam Claflin as Finnick: First, Shirtless Look!

Just when you thought it could not any better than the new Catching Fire trailer that debuted Saturday at Comic-Con… Lionsgate has released the first true photo of Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, the dashing victor from Suzanne Collins’ best-seller who causes confusion and attraction for Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss. And it’s not hard to see why, is it? Claflin was confirmed for this role last August, beating out such better known names as Channing Tatum and Armie Hammer. We’ve seen a Finnick portrait already and we’ve seen his Catching Fire profile, but this is our first look at the character in his often-half-naked state. Highest Paid Actors: Who Tops the List?

This year’s ” Highest Paid Actors ” list has been released by Forbes and given the monster year Tony Stark had, it’s no surprise that Robert Downey Jr. tops them all. Banking an impressive $75 million is apparently not all that hard to do when your movie rockets to #3 of the highest grossing movies of all time, like  The Avengers did. Now that he’s signed on for more  Iron Man and  Avengers 2 , it won’t be surprising if Robert Downey Jr. makes numerous repeat appearances on this list in the coming years. However, this list teaches us that if you are going to make a movie about being a male stripper, go ahead and do so with a lot of your own money. Channing Tatum came in second to RDJ thanks to  Magic Mike  (just wait for the Magic Mike sequel ) and the fact he and director Steven Soderbergh bankrolled the film on their own. It’s always refreshing when the abs have brains. Rounding out the list were a few surprises, like Mark Wahlberg coming in at number four with $52 million thanks to Ted and Adam Sandler at number six with $37 million, no thanks to  Jack and Jill. Bringing up the rear comes Liam Neeson in the tenth spot with $32 million. Just goes to show, want to bank a fortune? Play a man chasing after his kidnapped family member or some variation on that theme, over and over.

Amanda Bynes’ Weight Loss and Plastic Surgery: Cause For Alarm?

Many ask whether Amanda Bynes is losing her marbles, but what’s much clearer is that she’s losing a lot of weight – possibly to an alarming extent. While her Twitter rants (and ugly list ) are becoming run of the mill these days, one recent Tweet from the star stands out as a bit more troubling. When she’s not telling Drake to murder her vagina or inviting Mac Miller to hop on her d–k , Amanda loves to discuss her desire to weigh 100 pounds. Well, she’s apparently getting close to that potentially scary goal. She now weighs 114 pounds, according to her must-read feed. In February of this year, when she tipped the scales at a reasonable 121 pounds, the 5’8″ star stated that her goal was to get down to 100 pounds. In March, she tweeted a photo of herself and captioned it “pudgy.” In April, Bynes tweeted ” I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin.” At her height, even 114 puts Bynes in a potentially dangerous underweight zone, with a BMI of less than 18. If she drops another 14? Who knows. This comes in the wake of Bynes’ Tweets about the many plastic surgeries that she’s undergone or wishes to endure to alter her appearance, too. Among the most overt on the unneeded surgery front? This gem:  “I Need To Have Surgery To Look Beautiful For The Man I’m In Love With So I Feel Comfortable With The Way I Look When We Get Married” [sic]. A little disconcerting at best … deeply disturbing at worst. Stacy Keibler Dumps George Clooney!

It really, truly, finally is over between George Clooney and Stacy Keibler. Following rumors in March that the end was near for this beautiful couple, an insider tells People that Keibler pulled the romantic plug for the same reason that has befallen many of Clooney’s relationship: She did not see it going anywhere especially serious. ” Stacy called it quits ,” the source says. “She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that. They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago.” Labeling it a “friendly” split, the mole adds that Clooney and Keibler remain on good terms and even “talk every day.” The couple had not been photographed together since early spring, leading many to assume all was far from perfect. But this is how the George Clooney cookie crumbles for all beauties who attempt to tie him down (no, not like that! Okay, maybe sometimes like that…) and we somehow doubt either side will have difficult finding a new paramour. You have seen George Clooney and Stacy Keibler, right?

Channing Tatum Baby Wearing: Women Everywhere Spontaneously Ovulate

BOOM! POW! No, that’s not the sound of post-4th of July fireworks. It’s the sound of women everywhere spontaneously ovulating after photos surfaced of Channing Tatum baby-wearing his newborn daughter Everly  through LAX on Sunday. The  White House Down star and wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, traveled through LAX on Sunday on their way to Vancouver. While he shielded the baby from the paparazzi with the use of a wrap and a pink swaddling blanket, Jenna was on doggie duty, taking care of their Japanese Spitz. At the New York premiere of his movie, Tatum revealed that there’s nothing “more important or scary than protecting a daughter.” Annnnnnd, swoon.  Pop! Pow! Bam! There go more ovaries exploding. If this picture and his sweet words don’t make you start Channing all over your Tatum , I don’t know what will.

The making of White House Down is responsible for the making of Channing All Over Your Tatum . So the movie has clearly already paid off. But is the blockbuster, which hits theaters today, worthy of your time and money? Critics from around the country weigh in below… White House Down is the kind of celebration of rampant mayhem in which everyone seems to have a rocket launcher — or at least a live hand grenade — at the ready, just in case they need to dispatch a scrum of exceptionally vile and cruel villains. – The Washington Post As demented and entertaining as promised, and a little less idiotic than feared. – The New York Times Each nutty scenario is surpassed by the next, ludicrous story lines coalesce with expert orchestration, and absurd details return with perfect timing to build to a crescendo of hilarity. – The Boston Globe It’s a blatant attempt for the director to revive his box office fortunes by blowing up parts of the White House Complex as gaudily as he did 18 years ago. – The Orange County Register If you have to chose just one White House under attack movie, the wise choice would be to spend your money on Olympus Has Fallen. – About.com
