Back in January, we learned that Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis is dating singer Hunter Price . In a new photo, Kathryn is gushing about her current man and how happy he makes her. At the same time, she is taking a well-deserved swipe at her disgraced ex, Thomas Ravenel. In a new photo, Kathryn Dennis lounges on a large, comfortable chair while facing boyfriend Hunter Price. Though she has avoided direct, public jabs at ex Thomas Ravenel outside of their custody battle, it is difficult to read her caption as anything but. “Didn’t think I’d smile like this again but there you are,” Kathryn writes. Then, so that there can be no mistake, she tags Hunter in her captions. She punctuates her post with a tasteful black heart emoji. This is so sweet! And Kathryn was not the only one who took to Instagram to gush about the photo and her feelings surrounding it. Hunter also shared the image with his followers, though his caption was a little different. “My best friend,” he writes alongside the picture, coupled with a snowflake emoji. Like Kathryn, Hunter mostly uses his Instagram for photos of himself. He is a Country musician, and that is what his followers want to see. He and Kathryn interrupt the flow of their pages with photos of each other on rare occassions, but followers want to see those, too. For the record, Hunter also recently shared a screenshot to brag about Khloe Kardashian having “liked” one of his posts. It’s tempting to poke fun at him for that excitement, but who among us wouldn’t do the same? Sure, Hunter is a Country musician and his lady love is a reality star. But stars are still allowed to get starstruck. And it’s clear that Hunter and Kathryn are over the moon about each other. Saying that it’s been a while since Ashley smiled would be hyperbolic. But she has been going through a time with ex Thomas Ravenel, and that began before this custody battle. For that matter, it began before Thomas was publicly accused of rape by multiple women, let alone arrested over one of the incidents. About a year ago, Southern Charm viewers watched as Thomas and then-girlfriend Ashley seemed determine to make Kathryn’s life miserable. Kathryn, in turn, displayed a remarkable amount of chill, which earned her praise from viewers and castmates alike. But now, she’s fighting for custody of her children, and Thomas isn’t going down without a fight. In a very public Instagram post last year, Thomas Ravenel brutally admonished Ashley for disparaging Kathryn. In court documents, however, Thomas accuses Kathryn of being a drug fiend who trades and buys drugs from everyone in her orbit. (He even accuses her of swapping drugs with producers and castmates on Southern Charm ) Kathryn has years worth of drug tests that disprove that, but Thomas also claims that she purchases synthetic urine, so none of those tests count. It’s good that she has sources of comfort during this difficult time, and that one of those supportive loved ones is Hunter Price. This custody battle is probably going to get worse before it’s over.
