Comedienne and actress Chelsea Handler is finally opening up about her brief romance with 50 Cent . Although the pair denied their relationship while it was in progress, Handler went on the Howard Stern Show and told the shock jock she broke up with him because one of his ex-girlfriends was coming on her late night talk show. She says she called 50 “the worst thing you can call a black person, just short of the N-word.” Chelsea then went on to blast Mariah Carey . She feels that Carey is worse than Elizabeth Taylor and doesn’t know what planet Mariah Carey lives on. We all know how protective Nick Cannon is of his wife, so we expect a Chelsea Handler diss track in the near future. What do you think of Chelsea Handler and her brand of comedy? Visiting Howard Stern’s show Monday, Chelsea Handler was surprisingly (or maybe not that surprisingly) candid about her ill-fated relationship with 50 Cent. She wasted no time confirming that this rumored couple was in fact a couple, and revealing what her friends thought and why they ultimately split up. “He’s actually a lot different than you would think,” she said. “He’s really sweet. I thought it was kind of amusing that I would even be with 50 Cent.” “My friends all loved him, my friends fell in love with him,” she said, including Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston , who were as surprised as us. “They loved that I was dating him. They were like, ‘Chelsea, come on.’ They were both laughing really hard at it – everyone was – but they loved him.” So what went wrong? “We dated for a couple months and then we had a falling out,” she said . “One of his ex-girlfriends was coming onto my show.” She did not say who, but that was apparently the end of it. Why? According to Handler, Fiddy wanted to give her a heads up that his ex still had feelings for him, but Chelsea had other things – her job – on her mind. “I was like, at my job,” she said. “It was just so juvenile, I couldn’t get past that. I was at work. I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again.” But that’s not to say there are any hard feelings, at least not on her part: “I do think he’s a really nice guy and I think he’s smart in a certain way.” Considering it’s Chelsea Handler we’re talking about, that’s as nice of a compliment as anyone, let alone an ex of hers, could possibly expect. We just hope 50 doesn’t read this story. He’s already despondent of late, we don’t need him firing off anymore introspective suicidal-sounding tweets.
Rapper/actor Common stopped by “Chelsea Lately” Tuesday evening to promote his AMC series “Hell on Wheels.” Host Chelsea Handler wasted no time getting all up in Common’s business, playfully grilling him about his love life. ”I know you like big asses because you dated Serena Williams for a while,” Chelsea observed. Playing coy, Common laughed and replied “I like all shapes of women, beautiful women.” When asked if he was attracted to white women, Common wisely give the politically correct response–watch below: RELATED POSTS: Common “The Dreamer” Featuring Maya Angelou [NEW MUSIC] Who Keeps Common Looking So “Manly”? Fans can bid on Johnson now, with all proceeds going to Pencils of Promise. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: WireImage Justin Bieber is auctioning off Johnson, the baby boa constrictor he brought to the 2011 Video Music Awards , with all proceeds going to Pencils of Promise, one of the organizations he’s sponsoring through his Believe charity drive . That means one lucky fan has the chance to win a decidedly unique bit of Bieber memorabilia. Bidding is now under way over on the Charity Buzz website (Johnson is currently going for $175, FYI) and closes November 29. Of course, only serious bidders need apply, because if you end up winning the auction, you’ll be on the hook for the long haul, as a disclaimer on the site cautions: “Keeping a pet snake is a long-term responsibility. Before making any decision about keeping one, please ensure you have the money, space, knowledge, time, resources and enthusiasm required to properly care for the species you intend to keep, for the duration of its life.” Enthusiasm is key, since boa constrictors can live 20 years or more in captivity, and, as Charity Buzz states, “the welfare of this snake is the sole responsibility of the adopter … the adopter agrees to give the snake good care, which includes quality premium food, fresh water, sanitation and grooming, clean and secure indoor housing, clean and secure outdoor housing and overall safety.” The winning bidder must also guarantee Johnson’s veterinary care will be provided for. Bieber announced the launch of his Believe charity drive earlier this month, with the release of his Under the Mistletoe. He’s donating a portion of the sales from the holiday disc — which just debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart — to charity and is encouraging fans to match his donations to seven specific organizations: the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Pencils of Promise, Musicians on Call, Project Medishare for Haiti, City of Hope, the Boys & Girls Club of America and the Grammy Foundation. Talk show hosts Wendy Williams and E!’s Handler share some strong opinions about the reality star with MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian Photo: James Devaney/ WireImage Kim Kardashian has remained relatively low-profile since announcing her split from Kris Humphries last week. Aside from doing a bit of press for her handbag line in Australia, Kardashian has mostly shied away from any big sit-downs about filing for divorce. But while the reality starlet’s friends and family have been supportive, one of Kim’s fellow E! staples is not exactly offering a shoulder to cry on. Talk show host Chelsea Handler seemed to want to distance herself from her network sister when MTV News caught up with her at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York on Monday. “She’s not my girl, by the way. She’s more your girl than my girl, by the way,” she deadpanned. “Luckily, I don’t work at the [E!] building, so I don’t have to hang out with the Kardashians.” Outspoken TV host Wendy Williams didn’t have any particular advice for the divorcing Kardashian, but she hoped Kim would be more public about addressing the breakup news. “You know, Kris [Jenner], we had her mother on the show last week — one thing I have to say about Kris is she never flinched at any of the questions that I asked,” Williams said. “She answered all of them to the best of her ability, and I appreciated that. With that said, I think that it’s kind of rotten and immature that Kim couldn’t have done her own perp walk. And I understand [that Kris is] the one behind the machine, but maybe they could have done it together or they could have worked a couple different shows at the same time as opposed to running across the other side of the world, where perhaps softballs were [lobbed] at Kris or Kim.” While Kim may not be getting much support from talk show hosts, she’s getting all the help she needs from pals like La La Anthony . “Anytime someone gets a divorce, it’s a difficult time,” the “La La’s Full Court Life” star said. “All I can do is be her friend and support her through every part of it, and that’s what I’m doing.” Related Photos Kim Kardashian And Kris Humphries: A Whirlwind Romance
Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs have called it quits after less than a year of dating, her rep confirmed earlier today. The couple first went public in May. Handler told Piers Morgan Tonight about her relationship then: “I’m seeing someone now, but, I have spent so much time exposing my personal life to everybody that I finally am in a situation where I feel like it’s disrespectful to another individual … I’ve learned to respect somebody else’s privacy.” Handler, whose exes include 50 Cent, Animal Planet’s Dave Salmoni and Comcast CEO Ted Harbert, explained, “It’s not about me, ’cause I would like to make fun of him as much as possible, but he has kids, so I have to be nice.” When asked whether she was in love with Andre Balazs , she replied: “I have very strong feelings.” Too bad they didn’t last longer, but what are you gonna do. Theophilus London joins Deborah Harry for performance during magazine’s ‘Women of the Year’ celebration at Carnegie Hall. By Jocelyn Vena Chelsea Handler Photo: Getty Images NEW YORK — On Monday night, some of the most prestigious and glamorous women in the world gathered at Carnegie Hall to celebrate the Women of the Year as chosen by Glamour magazine. Jennifer Lopez was the night’s top honoree, and props were also given to everyone from Laura, Barbara, and Jenna Bush to Chelsea Handler and “Glee” star Lea Michele. “I’m pretty excited,” Handler dished to MTV News on the red carpet. “I’m happy. It’s fun,” she added, before explaining what makes her feel glamorous. “Nice clothes make you feel glamorous; getting dressed up for the night. I’ve never really been one to care that much about clothing, if you haven’t been able to notice. I’m always about your mind and being and clever and smart, so it’s cool to kind of get dressed up and wear cool things.” One of the night’s performers, Theophilus London, was pretty stoked to be in the same room as some of the world’s most beautiful people. He even had the perfect outfit to wear when he hit the stage. “I woke up this morning [and] I kind of wanted to wear leather, but I want to wear something shiny and soft. I don’t want to be too hot in Carnegie, so I found something. Shout out to Lanvin. I feel very privileged because they’re very good designers,” he said. London also shared his opinions on who he thinks deserves Women of the Year honors. “I think Michelle Obama is pretty hot and sexy. Actually, I think Debbie Harry is really hot and sexy. I’m doing a duet with her tonight. I’m pretty privileged, but I think J.Lo deserves it. She’s from New York. She’s always reinventing herself. She’s hot and cute.” Fashion designer extraordinaire Marc Jacobs explained that true glamour comes from the inside. “I think self-confidence makes a woman glamorous,” he explained. “I think living by one’s own rules makes anyone glamorous; living life to the fullest, enjoying and appreciating all the things that life has to offer, enjoying one’s life,” he added. LaLa Vasquez had a similar take on the art of being glamorous. “I think it’s confidence. It’s all about how you feel on the inside,” she said. “If you feel confident, you can make anything look good, so definitely confidence.” Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta later joked, “Obviously reading Glamour magazine makes women glamorous, but I think glamour is about a girl who understands herself and has her own sense of style.” Related Photos 21st Annual Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Related Artists Jennifer Lopez
