Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars: Better Than Kim!

Rob Kardashian will not win Dancing With the Stars, but he’s officially won bragging rights after a strong jive routine with partner Cheryl Burke last night. “It’s official,” Carrie Ann Inaba said, bestowing a compliment he’ll never let his sister live down. “Rob Kardashian is a better dancer than Kim Kardashian!” “No disrespect to Kim,” Inaba continued, before heaping more praise. “But you have the dancing gene, honey. It’s nice to see your confidence coming out.” Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars (Week 2) Bruno Tonioli agreed, telling the reality star he’d started “to blossom,” while Len Goodman praised Rob for his “great improvement” since last week. Despite having a famous family, Rob Kardashian struggles with all eyes on him. “I’m scared as hell,” he admitted during rehearsal for the ABC show. “I don’t feel great about myself at all. To be in front of people knowing I’m insecure with my weight, and I say I have man boobs jokingly, but it’s true.” “Being surrounded by all these dancers who are in great shape, it’s just hard to be around and [then] be able to put yourself out there like that.” With his score of 21, Kardashian tied Elisabetta Canalis, Chynna Phillips and Nancy Grace , just two points shy of Ricki Lake’s field-leading total of 23. Look for Rob to be easily safe tonight and live to show up Kim another week.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Results: Ron Artest First To Go

Lakers star — now known as Metta World Peace — couldn’t cut it in week one. By Kara Warner Peta Murgatroyd and Ron Artest Photo: ABC Networks As much as the studio crowd might have been rooting for World Peace, they didn’t get it. Basketball star Ron Artest — now known as Metta World Peace — couldn’t garner enough votes with his cha-cha and was the first to go on season 13 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The field of 12 competing couples was trimmed down to 11, and the L.A. Lakers player and partner Peta Murgatroyd were sent packing. The first elimination round was action-packed. The professional dancers kicked things off with a sizzling group number set to an amped-up version of Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory,” followed by the gradual, performance-interspersed reveal of the couples named to the bottom three: Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke, Metta and Murgatroyd and later Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus. The headlining performers for the evening included musician/actor Harry Connick Jr. and self-described party rockers LMFAO. Connick wowed the crowd with his soulful rendition of the titular number from his upcoming Broadway revival, “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.” The expectedly energetic and colorfully dressed LMFAO kept it classy for network TV with a medley of their new single “Sexy and I Know It” and their summer dance club sensation “Party Rock Anthem.” Despite receiving one of the three lowest scores on the first night of competition, Italian TV host and George Clooney ex Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy were voted through. And the biggest cheers of the night from both the audience and dancers occurred when Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer were safe. Looking at the leader board moving into week two, the couples with the highest scores are Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani and J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff. It should also be noted that MTV alum Kristin Cavallari and partner Mark Ballas are not far behind. Were you sad to see Metta/Ron voted off in week one? Let us know in the comments!

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Kirstie Alley, Maksim Chmerkovskiy Fall, Make Full Recovery!

Hines Ward and Petra Nemcova led the way last night on Dancing With the Stars with scores of 25 apiece, but Kirstie Alley’s routine got the most buzz. Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s fall to start his rumba with Kirstie was the defining moment of week three, but the way they recovered was the bigger story. It appeared that Maks’ leg just gave out and he tumbled while holding Alley, who also went down hard. But they rallied for a respectable 21. Watch: Dancing With the Stars Week 3 – Kirstie and Maks Monday was personal story night on DWTS , with Kirstie and Maks dancing to “Over the Rainbow,” and Alley telling the poignant story of her move to L.A. Who knew she’d have another story to tell right after. “My thigh just gave out. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” said Maks, who had to take this really hard as a perfectionist. “It has nothing to do with her.” “Sometimes tragedy leads to an amazingly beautiful moment,” Carrie Ann Inaba said, noting that after the fall “something magical happened.” Bruno added, “You can’t keep good talent down. Once you got up it was better than ever.” Indeed. How did that score of 21 match up? Let’s see: Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: 9-8-8 (25). Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: 8-9-8 (25). Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel: 8-7-8 (23). Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: 8-7-8 (23). Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 7-7-7 (21). Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: 7-7-7 (21). Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: 7-7-7 (21). Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: 7-6-7 (20). Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya: 7-6-7 (20). Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani: 5-5-5 (15). Who do you be in jeopardy tonight, besides the obvious Wendy? Will Maks and Kirstie emerge from this night stronger and more popular than ever? We know it’s early, but who will win Season 12? Vote below, and stay tuned to THG for more videos and updates from DWTS throughout the day:

Cheryl Burke Objects to Chris Brown’s Appearance on Dancing with the Stars

Tom Bergeron won’t be the only one refusing to give Chris Brown a standing ovation tonight. The Dancing with the Stars host has already voiced his displeasure over that controversial star appearing on this week’s results show, and now Cheryl Burke has spoken out against the performance, as well. “As a victim of domestic violence, I don’t agree with him coming on the show, but it’s out of my control,” she told Extra . Earlier this year, Burke opened up about her past and admitted she was molested as a child . It should be an interesting evening on ABC, that’s for sure. Do you think Brown should be welcome on such a national stage?

The First Couple Eliminated From Dancing With the Stars Was …

Tuesday marked the end of the road for the first Dancing with the Stars contestant of the 12th season … but who was first to pack up and leave the parquet? The bottom three , according to the scores compiled so far, were Mike Catherwood, Wendy Williams and Sugar Ray Leonard, all of whom were in jeopardy. One of the three left the show last night … but who? Follow the jump to see who was eliminated … It’s back to the radio studio for “Psycho” Mike Catherwood, who along with partner Lacey Schwimmer, failed to make an impression with the judges – or voters. “It’s been such an amazing experience,” said Mike, who ranked last with 30 points out of 60. “It sucks to be sent home first, but I made a lot of good friends.” Lasting for at least another week were Williams, who earned 31 points, and boxing legend Sugar Ray, who had 34. Do you think the voters made the right call? Mike’s departure shouldn’t change much for the list of favorites this season, or for the couples who narrowly survived this week. But with him gone, you tell us: Who do you think will win it all? [Photos: ABC]

Chris Brown Performs on Dancing With the Stars: Watch Now!

Over the objections of Tom Bergeron , Cheryl Burke and a host of others, Chris Brown performed on Dancing With the Stars’ first results show of the season Tuesday. Brown actually performed twice – first his new hit “Yeah 3x,” then an encore medley of “Forever” and “Beautiful People” – bringing the house down both times. If there were boos, they weren’t audible over the cheers for a guy who put his all into each routine and looked very, very happy to be there. Here’s his first effort: Chris Brown on Dancing With The Stars – Yeah 3X After Brown’s now-infamous Good Morning America meltdown , many were shocked (and more than a few upset) that ABC would let him keep this DWTS gig. Whatever the reason for not pulling the plug, Brown was clearly grateful, and repaid them with a terrific live performance, as you can see above and below. Maybe he’s now turned the page. Here’s hoping. Follow this link to see who was eliminated last night, then watch Chris’ second performance after the jump: Chris Brown on DWTS – Forever

Are You Loving You Some Chris Jericho?

Simply put, Carrie Ann Inaba said last night: “I’m loving me some Chris Jericho right now.” The Dancing with the Stars judge was reacting to the WWE wrestler’s version of the Quickstep, as Jericho and Cheryl Burke were one of three pairings to garner 23 points on week two . With a total of 42 after two routines, there’s a very good chance Chris and Cheryl will return to shake, grind and move some more next Monday. Think they deserve to do so? Check out their performance below: Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke – Quickstep
