Dutchess Has A Surprise Birthday Party In Charlotte Happy Birthday Dutchess ! The tattoo artist beauty was surprised with very special birthday party on Saturday night, planned by Charity Luv (@charityLuv) Decor and designed by Celebrity Millennium Event Planner (@courtneyajinca). To put it mildly, the event was everything imaginable. Dutchess was surprised for her birthday with a themed Masquerade party at 7th Restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event was magical and included aerial dancers, soul food, drinks and flowers galore. Flowers were provided by Designs By Devereux (@designsbydevereux) and Laced in Vinyl Shoppe (@lacedvinylshoppe) created the custom dance floor. So these two couples will remain linked for a long time to come. We hear there’s a bit of tension between Markle and Middleton over the former sort of stealing the latter’s spotlight and thunder. For some reason, Joy and Austin moved their wedding from October to May, and never offered an explanation as to why. Three months later, Joy-Anna announced her pregnancy, and everything started to make sense. Fans reasoned that Joy and Austin had violated the famous Duggar courtship rules by engaging in premarital sex. The rescheduled wedding was viewed as an attempt to conceal the fact that Joy had gotten pregnant before saying “I do.” The fact that Joy-Anna has all but disappeared from public view in recent weeks hasn’t helped her family’s efforts to convince Counting On viewers that she waited to have sex until after she was married. Joy and Austin were both absent from this year’s Duggar Thanksgiving photo , but it’s possible that they simply decided to join Austin’s family for the holiday. Whatever the case, the effort to keep Joy out of the spotlight has done little to silence suspicious fans, many of whom have done some digging to unearth what they believe is solid evidence of Joy’s premarital conception: That’s a photo from Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell’s wedding that took place back in September. It’s a busy time of year, and not just because of the holidays. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding day will be here in 5 months, and it sounds like the Royal Family has its hands full. The remaining topics were usually about Princess Diana’s memory, about something random, or speculation about Kate Middleton. But Duchess Kate is pregnant, folks. That made some serious headlines. She’s due in April, and a royal baby would normally be the talk of the town. Except that this is Kate’s third child. This isn’t going to bring the public jubilation that Prince George did, because excitement over babies comes with diminishing returns. And look, here comes Meghan Markle — shiny and new and stealing Kate’s spotlight. And, thus, the rumors of a feud between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle . Whether Kate actually resents her or not, the fact that Kate won’t be in Meghan and Harry’s wedding party is raising some eyebrows (even if it’s probably just a matter of protocol). And it’s not difficult to imagine Kate feeling jealous of this new, younger woman. Meghan Markle is a divorced, biracial, American actress who’s waltzed past barriers to marry Harry. How nice!!” There’s just one little problem, according to RadarOnline ‘s insider. It takes two to tango, and their source says that: “Kate isn’t rushing to get the shot.” Now … that could be unrelated towards her feelings regarding Meghan Markle. Kate’s a mother and she’s not only pregnant, but has some majorly rough morning sickness. (It’s so severe that she had to be rushed to the hospital, which was was what tipped us off a couple of weeks before the pregnancy announcement) So when Kate’s feeling well enough to get all dolled up and go outside and be photographed, we imagine that she wants to spend that on official appearances, not on making it look like she doesn’t despise her future sister-in-law. That’s fair, right? Either way, though, RadarOnline says that Kensington Palace is planning to photograph Kate and Meghan together over the holidays at Sandringham church. When people aren’t sure of the friendliness between two women who are drawn close by circumstances, it’s often assumed that the women are feuding. Whether they’re actresses on a set or two women who become indirect family, if two women aren’t joined at the hip, people seem eager to assume that they hate each other. Some of that may be misogyny. The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families produced an animated video designed to show children how to talk about mental health issues. That's a wonderful resource for many children. Kate Middleton, who is a patron of the organization, provides the introduction, lending her voice and celebrity status to a worthy cause. We have the short video for you below, and it's really worth watching. We would expect nothing less from the Duchess of Cambridge. This isn't just because Kate Middleton is already a mother of two, with a third on the way . Though, obviously, this kind of topic is going to be near and dear to her heart as a mother. By marrying into the British Royal Family, Kate Middleton did more than just become an implied villain on Grimm . (Don't ask) She inherited a lot of responsibilities — one of which being that she'll very probably be queen in the not-so-distant future . Overall, she has an obligation to the British people — whose tax dollars include millions specifically for the royals — to use her influence and celebrity status for positive effect. One of the ways that she's doing this is by introducing this video, aimed at children, that talks about mental and emotional health. Mental health is very complicated. Until very recently, the subject was almost taboo among most people. It's been pointed out that Millennials, stereotypically, are willing to bluntly discuss things like depression and anxiety. Part of that is being the first generation to grow up with evolving technology, from the internet to social media. This provided not only access to mental health resources that aren't hidden behind a paywall (as actually seeing a therapist is), but has allowed Millennials to engage with each other and share their own experiences. There's where you get conversations where people say “oh, I've always done that … I never knew that it was called executive dysfunction!” or “wait, my life doesn't feel like it looks like on those commercials, but it sounds like I'm depressed.” Knowing the names for ways that you're feeling puts you one step closer to finding helpful coping mechanisms. This video is for younger children, though, and doesn't use diagnostic terminology or talk about “coping mechanisms” in a formal way. Rather it talks about feelings. Some of us don't live on emotional roller coasters now that we're adults, and under normal circumstances are feelings are more or less limited to feelings like contentment , hungry , and drunk . For children, however (and for many adults), there's a whole spectrum of feelings that their tiny little bodies and still-developing brains cannot contain. Magnifying that is the general powerlessness of children and the fact that a lot of parents don't have a clue on how to listen to a child and know what's normal for children and what could be a sign of mental illness. So a lot of what the video talks about is how children can start conversations with their parents, teachers, and even their peers about how they've been feeling lately and what symptoms they've been experienced. But it's all handled so informally that they avoid medical jargon at all costs. It's important to note (though the video does not) that, in many cases, symptoms of mental health problems in young children can be signs of abuse of various types. This is a great way to talk about this without making abused children reflexively defensive about what's been happening to them. A child might be afraid to tell an adult what's happened to them at home, but they might not associate their trouble sleeping and stomach aches and acting out with the trauma that they are enduring. Adorably, the video even deals with how to show good listening skills if a friend comes up to talk to them about mental health.
