On The Run Tour: This Guy Tried The Most Epic Escapes From The Law

Source: Doug Menuez / Getty It’s story time folks. One guy was not about to let the police take him alive, so he conjured up his inner most James Bond, Ethan Hunt, and Indiana Jones to dodge 5-0 like the plague.   Michael Maldonado was arrested on Monday during a traffic stop and was brought to Porter County jail in Indiana. When the squad car entered the building’s garage, Maldonado must’ve scoped the scene because when it was time to put the pedal to the metal, he was ready.   Peep the video below and make sure you wait till the end for the great escape.   Here it is again at a different angle starting at 1:13.   Gone. According to The Times , Michael wasn’t secured properly in the vehicle and that’s why he was able to maneuver out the car and dodge underneath the garage door in such epic fashion.   This wasn’t even the first time he tried to escape the police. When he was arrested the first time, cops had to restrain him then too. A glass crack pipe and hypodermic needle fell from his clothes during the traffic stop search, and he tried to make a run for it only to be subdued with a stun gun. Then he was handcuffed and tried to make a run for it AGAIN.   So they had to put him in hobble restraints.   You can’t blame the man for having vision. Michael’s freedom didn’t last long. His garage door escape was the last straw and he was eventually caught on Tuesday. He ended up being booked on a felony escape charge as well as felony counts of unlawful possession of a syringe and resisting law enforcement from his previous arrest. They even stacked some misdemeanor counts on Michael, including driving with a suspended license. Well in any case…when it comes to stories of citizens vs. the law, Michael’s name will definitely be remembered.

Tragic news today out of the world of television: DuShon Monique Brown, a veteran actress who had been a series regular on Chicago Fire since the inception of the NBC drama, has died of an apparent heart attack. She was 49 years old. Production sources tell TMZ that Brown admitted herself to an Illinois hospital a few days ago after suffering chest pains; she was reportedly tested at the time and then released. But things then took a drastic and deadly turn on Friday. The actress suffered some kind of cardiac episode and was found dead inside her home in Chicago. The NBC star was a native of The Windy City who had portrayed Connie, the assistant to Chef Boden, since the very first episode of Chicago Fire. Our thought and prayers are with DuShon’s family and we will all miss her.” Along with her acting career, Brown had a background in social work and a Masters in Counseling. She once worked as a counselor at a local high school. According to her IMDB page, she was also an accomplished violinist who played with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. This same page lists a few other facts about the late star. To wit: – Her nickname was “shoo-shoo.” – She attended the same high school as Michelle Obama. – Her mom is a retired social worker and her dad is a retired math teacher. – She inspired to perform after seeing the film version of The WIZ at age seven. Why The Death Of Rapper Craig Mack Scared Me [Op-Ed]

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty   Let’s get straight to it. This is why the Craig Mack death spooked me. I’m 36. 10 years younger than Mack. I work in an industry that may be fun, you meet a lot of people, get free shit at events (food and drinks be love) but it puts a lot of wear and tears on your body. Listening to mogs talking that “No Sleep till I’d dead” shit will have you dead, early. I remember feeling like I had to put in a lot of work to get to where I wanted to go and overworking myself to the point I was in the hospital. I prided myself on never having to get an IV in me let alone have a hospital stay and my ass was in there ashy as hell. At that point, shit changed… Now I got a family. READ:  Rap Pioneer Craig Mack Dead At 46 And my ass was almost in the same position with a monitor on my chest to see if anything was wrong with my heart. I’m good though, thanks for asking. But I do wonder if all that partying and no sleep shit may have taken a toll on me that would catch up eventually. Then Phonte dropped an album with a song talking about the same shit. The Mack dies at 46 due to Heart Failure… 46. I eat a lot better. That might be the biggest blessing being away from Chicago cause between Harolds, Remus, El Gran and my moms, I’d be 320 pounds again. I walk a lot. Go to the gym in my complex now (cause its dope). I am working on it. Try not to let shit stress me out (NOW THATS THE HARD ONE). But I’m not trying to leave my family soon at all. 10 years away from 46. Men, make sure you go to the doctor. Get your sleep. Eat right. I remember growing up in Chicago in the 90’s trying to make it to 18. Now, I’m trying to live to see my grandkids and great-grandkids grow up. SMH: ‘Black Ink Crew: Chicago’ Star Phor Faces Criminal Weed Charges Following Indiana Arrest

Getty Images Black Ink Crew’s Phor Arrested In Indiana Phor , one of the stars of VH1’s Black Ink Crew: Chicago , got cuffed right along with his whole crew last week. The incident happened after a police officer pulled them over because clouds of smoke were visibly billowing out of the group’s limo van. According to reports from  TMZ , the tattoo artist was arrested in Gary, Indiana along with 6 friends, and is now facing criminal weed charges. According to the police report, an officer pulled over Phor’s Mercedes limo after he both heard loud music and smelled pot. Apparently, the driver told the cop they were heading to a club in Gary–which is only about 25 miles from Chicago–and tried to get the officer’s sympathy by saying, “Look bro, I have a celebrity in the back.” Um, tread lightly there, Mr. driver… Unfortunately for Phor and his crew, the cop didn’t care about his reality celebrity-dom. On top of that, the driver allegedly didn’t have ID or registration for the vehicle, and because it stunk like weed, they were all taken into custody for weed-related offenses.
