Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Finally Reveal The Name Of Their Fourth Child

Source: Rabbani and Solimene Photography / Getty Kim K. & Kanye Name Their 4th Child “Psalm” According to Page Six , Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their fourth child “Psalm West”. Kim K. shared a screenshot of text messages with Kanye, saying “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child we are blessed beyond measure we have everything we need.”   Psalm West pic.twitter.com/F0elQd1cJq — Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) May 17, 2019 The couple announced their newborn’s name a week after the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reality star shared on Twitter that he had been born. Delivered on Thursday, May 9, many fans have been dying to know what the couple were naming their 4th kid after previously giving us 3 “unique” names. Joining older siblings Chicago, 3-year-old Saint and 5-year-old North, “Psalm” may be the most unique out of the bunch. Although she didn’t share a picture of little Psalm right away, she did say he’s “Chicago’s twin,” referring to the couple’s 1-year-old daughter. “I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” she tweeted.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Name of Fourth Child (And It’s Not Bear!)

Say this about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: They are nothing if not reliable. One week after welcoming their fourth child (via surrogate), the world famous couple has announced the little boy’s name… … and it may not be Bear, as some social media users had suspected , but it is highly unusual. Are you ready, readers? Are you ready to say hello to PSALM WEST?!? Kardashian revealed her fourth child’s name on Twitter and Instagram this afternoon, several days after simply telling the world that “he’s here and he’s perfect.” She did so in form of a text conversation with her husband, as you can see below: “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need,” West wrote, to which Kim simply wrote “Psalm West.” And now this question is answered. Psalm joins siblings North, Saint and Chicago in a family full of kids whose names are also nouns. That’s not a statement of judgment, it’s just a fact. Prior to this announcement, folks had started to believe that child number-four would be named “Bear” because Kim had included a bear emoji along with photos from her recent baby shower. The mother of four followed her baby name reveal a few minutes later with an update on the week-old, adding simply: “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.” Psalm was born via surrogate on May 9, 2019. He siblings are aged five, three and 16 months. In April, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said she was considering naming her son after her brother, Rob Kardashian. “But then it’s like, North, Saint, Chicago, Rob,” Kim told Jimmy Kimmel at the time while a guest on his talk show. “It doesn’t really go. I really was feeling like that, or Robert. And my brother approved it, so that’s, like, our one kind of name. I like Rob West.” So do we. But Kim is right: Once you’ve gone with North, Saint and Chicago, you really have no choice but to follow those up with something like… Psalm. As of right now, we don’t believe the child has a middle name. We actually don’t think any of Kim’s kids have a middle name. Will any siblings join this ever-growing immediate family? It doesn’t sound that way. “Kim and Kanye have known for awhile and are very excited. They had one male embryo left and are thrilled it has worked out,” a source previously told E! News, adding back then: “Kim always wanted four kids and having two boys and two girls feels perfect. “They were very happy with the entire experience the first time and are so grateful to have one more baby.” As for how she and Kanye arrived at the name Psalm? Kim has not yet said. However, she did try to explain the process to Kimmel a short while back: “We all weigh in. I definitely take a family survey, but it’s usually after the baby’s born and we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like. “I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me.” So we guess this one looks like a Psalm, huh? Interesting. The question now: Where should we rank this name against the other unusual ones chosen by Kim and her loved ones? View Slideshow: Kardashian-Jenner Baby Names: RANKED!

Remy Ma & Safaree Sued For Breaching Chicago Performance Contracts

Source: Derrick Salters/WENN.com / WENN Remy Ma and Safaree were supposed to rock an April benefit concert but it appears the pair violated exclusivity terms of their contract and forced a cancellation of the event. The Love & Hip Hop: New York castmates were barred from performing within 60 miles of the Wintrust Arena in Chicago for a period of time but they nixed that part of the agreement. TMZ reports : The Circle Foundation — which mentors Chicago-area youths — is suing the rappers, saying they signed to perform at a fundraising concert back on April 21, 2018, at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, the Foundation was forced to cancel the show after the rappers breached their contracts. The Foundation claims their contracts specifically stated Remy and Safaree could NOT perform within 60 miles of the arena for 30 days before the event. It’s called a “performance exclusivity” clause, and it’s a common practice promoters use to make sure their concerts remain in hot demand. In the suit, the Foundation says the rappers agreed and signed the deal … with Remy getting a $35k deposit payment and Safaree getting $7,250. The problem, according to the docs, is Remy performed on April 8 at the Black Women’s Expo in Chicago — and Safaree played the Rockin’ Horse Saloon & Grill on April 14 in a Chicago suburb. The Circle Foundation is suing for the money it paid out plus damages. Remy Ma’s attorney has responded and promises to look into the matter. Reps for Safaree have yet to comment. — Photo: WENN

Report: ‘Empire’ To Be Canceled After Season 6

More:

Source: Michael Tran/ Getty Images / Getty Images Less than two weeks after announcing a renewal for a new season, FOX has revealed that Empire ‘s swan song will be with season 6. Deadline reports that the “groundbreaking, cultural phenomenon” is getting the axe once season 6 concludes, months after Jussie Smollett ‘s public ouster from the show and more. The show was created by Lee Daniels . “We are turning the final season into a large TV event, we are trying to go out guns a blazing,” Charlie Collier, head of Fox Entertainment said on the call of Empire ‘s 20-episode last round “You allow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve,” the CEO added. The news follows the cancellation of Daniels’ other Fox led hip-hop drama, Star which was canceled after three seasons. The cancellation of Empire seems shocking as a little less than three seasons ago, it was a ratings and cultural juggernaut that established the careers of Smollett, Bryshere Gray and elevated Taraji P. Henson into even more of a household name. Due to sagging ratings and Smollett’s criminal case in Chicago over an alleged hate crime, people have soured on the show.

M otherhood is full of love, selflessness, and sacrifices and a Michigan-based mom captured the essence of those three qualities when she made the decision to skip her own college graduation to attend her son’s commencement ceremony. Sharonda Wilson ’s choice to miss out on a major milestone to support her son Stephan did not go unappreciated or overlooked. After learning that his mom planned on skipping her own graduation to be at his commencement ceremony, Stephan was inclined to do something special for her. He connected with a friend who worked with Central Michigan University President Bob Davies . Davies then connected with senior leadership at Ferris State University to get permission to award Wilson with her degree. All of this happened hours before the graduation was slated to take place. “My mom is a selfless person,” Stephan said in a statement. “I wouldn’t have been [at graduation] without her. That is the honest truth.” While sitting in her seat getting ready to cheer her child on for his educational accomplishment, to Wilson’s surprise she was called to the stage and Davies awarded her with her hard-earned bachelor’s of science in business administration. 23-year-old Stephan—who majored in fine arts— was moved to tears. Davies told CNN that he was grateful to be able to create that special moment for Sharonda and her son. “Sharonda and Stephan both put in the long hours and hard work, and they deserved the chance to celebrate together as a family,” he said. “We appreciated the opportunity to partner with our friends at Ferris State to recognize and celebrate this milestone achievement for both Stephan and Sharonda.” SEE ALSO: 99-Year-Old Black Woman Veteran Gets Second Chance To Walk Across Graduation Stage Teen Becomes St. Thomas High School’s First-Ever Black Valedictorian [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3852226″ overlay=”true”]

Chicago Gets Its First Black-Owned Urgent Care Facility

See the original post:

B lack doctors are making power moves in medicine. According to the Chicago Crusader , a group of African American medical professionals joined forces to open up Chicago’s only Black-owned urgent care facility. They just opened the first Black owned urgent care facility on the south side of Chicago. https://t.co/OnUEIvKAeb — #becauseofthemwecan (@Becauseofthem) May 9, 2019 The center—dubbed Premier Health Urgent Care—is the only one of its kind in the Hyde Park community. It was a collaborative effort between Reuben C. Rutland, MD , Airron Richardson, MD , Michael A. McGee, MD , and former NFL player Dr. Gregory Primus . Aware of the lack of access to adequate health services, they were determined to cultivate a space where individuals can receive proper care and support. The center goes beyond providing urgent care, it has mental health and wellness services as well. “We are happy to open an urgent care in Hyde Park because the community needs it. I see so many urban professionals who either delay or go without care because of time constraints. No one has 8 hours to wait in the emergency department for a minor illness or the flexibility to wait 3 weeks because their primary care doctor is booked solid. We are here to help fill that gap,” Dr. Rutland said in a statement. “We are not in competition with the doctors’ offices or the emergency department. We are a supplement to them both, to help relieve the stress on those two facilities.” The founders are also using the center as an avenue to combat violence in Chicago. They will give some of its profits to an organization called Project Outreach and Prevention which develops programming for at-risk youth in an effort to keep them off the streets and on the right track. There are several Black medical professionals launching urgent care centers designed to help individuals from underserved communities. In 2018, Dr. Tamara Moise and Wadson Fils opened the doors to Big Apple Urgent Care, Brooklyn’s first Black-owned urgent care center. Hannah Brown: Why Do Fans Think She’ll Be the Worst Bachelorette in the Show’s History?

We’re just days away from the premiere of Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette , and as expected, the ABC promotional machine is going full steam ahead. As part of the effort to drum up interest and remind fans of what drew them to the series in the first place, host Chris Harrison presided over the largest-ever Bachelorette reunion — a gathering of most of the stars from the show’s previous 14 seasons. But it seems that for many, the reunion special (which debuted Wednesday night) had the opposite of its intended effect. The sight of all those beloved Bachelorettes of yore reminded some viewers that Hannah Brown is a very … untraditional choice for the wildly popular dating competition. In the past, the show mostly played it safe when choosing the woman who will be handing out the roses. However, the decision to cast Hannah was so controversial that even some of the franchise’s biggest stars felt the need to speak out. “This is a little intimidating for her. It’s a little scary, it’s a little wild and she isn’t prepped for it,” said former Bachelor star Ben Higgins (though he later retracted his comments). “It’s just random. Like, why?” Corrine Olympios said when asked for her thoughts on Hannah’s casting. “It’s, like, there’s nothing there that would have made me be like, ‘I need to see her again on TV. I need to see her find love.’ Like, she wasn’t even someone that I was like, ‘I want her to find love.’” Even beloved Season 13 star Rachel Lindsay questioned the decision of choosing Hannah as the show’s star, stating: “She wasn’t my first choice or my favorite.” During her stint on The Bachelor , there were times when it seemed that Hannah herself questioned whether she belonged on camera. Her conflict with fellow contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes often left her in tears, and at various times she dubbed herself a “hot mess” and a “beast” (the latter caught on as an endearing nickname). So why would producers choose her to star in her own season of a show that relies heavily on the charisma of its central lead? Well, for starters, most of the criticism against Hannah is based on subjective observations about her personality, so allow us to go to bat for the former beauty queen: Hannah possesses an awkward, self-deprecating charm seldom found in reality stars (particularly ones whose first taste of the limelight came from competing in pageants). There’s no denying that she’s different from what we’ve seen previously — but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, particularly when it comes to reality shows that long ago surpassed the one-decade mark. The pop cultural landscape in which The Bachelor and The Bachelorette first premiered is markedly different from the one we live in today. Potential viewers have much, much more on their plate with regard to entertainment options, and as a result, long-running network reality series are a dying breed. And so, Harrison and company made the savvy decision to adapt. With Colton Underwood, they gave us something entirely new — a 26-year-old virgin prone to emotional outbursts and episodes of intense self-doubt. The result was one of the show’s more entertaining seasons in recent memory. So are viewers more willing to tolerate idiosyncrasy in men than in women? Most likely, but that doesn’t change the fact that Hannah seems likely to offer up something new and compelling to those who are willing to give her a chance. And frankly, we can’t wait for the breath of fresh air. View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Spoilers: Check Out Hannah Brown’s Final Four!
