Kate Gosselin Scolds Kids on Today Show: Spit It Out!

AWKWARD ALERT! Kate Gosselin and 13-year old twins Mady and Cara appeared this morning on Today to discuss their recent People Magazine cover and how folks have the wrong impression of how their lives have been effed up by reality television. Except when Savanna Guthrie asked Mady what she wants to say about how she and her siblings are doing… the teenager pretty much ignored the question. Kate Gosselin Scolds Daughters “Mady, your words,” Kate told her child in a tone TLC viewers know well. “It’s your chance. Spit it out.” Seriously. It was beyond uncomfortable for all involved. Over the past few weeks, Jon Gosselin has gone back on the attack against his ex-wife. He has referred to her as exploitive, broke and greedy . “This is their chance to talk and this is the most wordless I’ve heard them all morning,” Kate said when Cara also remained silent this morning. “I don’t want to speak for them, but Mady go ahead . . that years later they’re good, they’re fine . . Go for it, Mady.” And the little girl finally did. “You just said it,” the teenager replied to a question directed to her sister, who was asked if they think people have the wrong impression of them. “I wouldn’t say wron. I would just say not the full story. A lot of people think that filming our show has damaged us, but it’s only really helped.” That didn’t sound rehearsed at all. These poor, poor kids.

Brandi Glanville Actually Says: I Wish I Had Been Molested!

Brandi Glanville’s big, loud, annoying mouth has gotten her into trouble once again. A few weeks after getting into a back-and-forth with Perez Hilton over her rehab jokes , Glanville has gone ahead and quipped about another sensitive topic: Child molestation. Brandi Glanville: I Wish I Was Molested! On her podcast this week, Brandi welcomed comedians Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine as guests, the latter of whom has been open about the widespread molestation of kids in his church. In response to that scandal, Glanville thought she was being hilarious when she said: “I wanted to be molested as a child and was passed up. “My sister got felt up by a principal, and nothing for me: He didn’t even look at me sideways… “Now looking back, I’m super-bummed. Curtis Reeves Held Without Bail in Tampa Movie Theater Shooting

A day after he allegedly killed a fellow movie theater goer after the two got into an argument over texting, Curtis Reeves was denoted bond today by a judge in Pasco County, Florida. The 71-year old retired from the Tampa Police Department in 1993 after serving as Captin and went on to work as the Director of Security at Busch Gardens until 2005. Tampa Bay Movie Theater Shooting Suspect in Custody According to Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, Reeves and his wife got into an altercation with Chad Oulson and his wife after the Reeves asked Chad to stop texting prior to a showing of Lone Survivor. The back-and-forth escalated until Reeves reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot Chad in the chest, with the bullet actually going through Nancy Oulson’s hand in her attempt to protect her husband. Chad Oulson, 43, was transported to a nearby hospital and died shortly after, while his wife was treated for her hand injury. Those who know Reeves tell ABC that are stunned over the incident. “Curtis is a good guy. He’s always been very nice to my wife, myself,” said Reeves’s next door neighbor Bill Costas. “Personally, I’m very shocked.” In court today, Circuit Judge Lynn Tepper said the defense can make its case for setting bond before another judge on a different date. Reeves, who has been charged with second-degree murder, was not present for this hearing, but a number of friends and colleagues appeared in the courtroom to show support.

Mother of Autistic Girl Reconnects with Kind Stranger from Plane

If this story doesn’t bring a tear to your eye… well, you may need new eyes. On January 6, Shanell Mouland sat in the window seat of a flight from Florida to Philadelphia. By her side was her three-year old daughter, Kate, who suffers from Autism, and by her side, in the aisle, was a stranger in a business suit. In an open letter (titled “Dear ‘Daddy’ in Seat 16C”) soon after the trip, Mouland wrote that she was initially scared her child would “pour water all over” this man’s “multi-million dollar contracts,” but was then amazed to be proven wrong. Very, very, very, very wrong. Dear Daddy in Seat 16 Letter The man ended up being exceedingly kind and patient with Kate, not even correcting the toddler when she called him “Daddy.” “You could have shifted uncomfortably in your seat. You could have ignored her. You could have given me that ‘smile’ that I despise because it means; ‘manage your child please.’ You did none of that,” Mouland wrote, directly addressing her fellow passenger. “You engaged Kate in conversation and you asked her questions about her turtles. She could never really answer your questions but she was so enamored by you that she keep eye contact and joint attention on the items you were asking her about.  I watched and smiled. I made a few polite offers to distract her, but you would have none of it.” Toward the end of the flight, little Kate reached her limit, according to her mom, and screamed about getting off the plane. But the man never changed his attitude. “Thank you,” Mouland concluded in her letter. “Thank you for not making me repeat those awful apologetic sentences that I so often say in public. Thank you for entertaining Kate so much that she had her most successful plane ride, yet. And, thank you for putting your papers away and playing turtles with our girl.” The man has since been identified as Eric Kunkel, a married father of one from New Jersey. When contacted by Yahoo Shine, he said of the experience: “I travel a lot for work, and Kate was, by far, the most well-behaved kid I’ve sat next to. Shanelle is also an incredible parent – she didn’t apologize for Kate and she shouldn’t have – but she was very attentive to her.” A few days after the flight, Kunkel’s stepson actually found Mouland’s blog post and told his stepfather. Kunkel then befriended Mouland on Facebook and the two remain in touch. “I assumed that a man in a business suit wouldn’t be patient with Kate,” Mouland says. “And I’m so fortunate to have been proved wrong.”

Lil Za Arrested for Cocaine Possession: See the Photo!

It looks like Justin Bieber’s recent egging has consequences far beyond his neighbor’s property damage and the singer’s own police file. Cops searched Bieber’s home today, seeking evidence that would link to him to last week’s crime… and ended up arresting best friend Lil Za on FELONY COCAINE POSSESSION. The arrest took place inside Justin’s house and the drugs were in “plain view,” sources tell TMZ. Lil Za is a rapper who has been close to Bieber for years. He and Lil Twist formerly resided at Justin’s mansion until Scooter Braun gave them the boot a few months ago after too many instances of partying and driving recklessly. As previously reported, 11 Los Angeles County patrol cars showed up this morning at the artist’s pad and executed a search warrant. They are looking for any evidence – containers, surveillance videos, fingerprints, etc. – that further prove Bieber hurled over 20 eggs at his neighbor’s house on Thursday evening. One onlooker says a battering ram even made its way on to the premises as part of the investigation. Armed with a warrant, cops can legally take note of anything at all found inside the residence and act accordingly, which is how Za ended up in handcuffs. There is nothing connecting Bieber to the cocaine. But deputies have dismantled Justin’s security system and have taken it with them to see if it will shed light on what took place last week. Really, though, the following video says it all. Is there any doubt this is Bieber’s voice, cursing off his neighbor and saying more eggs are on the way? Arian Foster Sued by Mistress: He’s Demanding I Get an Abortion!

Arian Foster has been a top draft pick in most fantasy football leagues over the past few years. But, for 20-year old Brittany Norwood, her relationship with the Houston Texans running back has turned into a nightmare. The University of Houston senior is taking the All-Pro to court because she alleges she is pregnant with his child and he has been harassing her to get an abortion. Arian Foster Pregnancy Scandal: Brittany Norwood Speaks Out According to Norwood, she started sleeping with Foster last summer, unaware that he was married with children. The dalliance continued through November, she says, where the pair spent a week together in California while Foster was recovering from back surgery. “I truly fell in love with this person,” says Norwood , who has since sold photos of the couple to TMZ. At some point in the last month, however, Norwood told Foster that she was carrying his child and he responded negatively and harshly. “He’s like, ‘You can’t have this, you can’t have this kid, like, we cannot bring a child into this, like, think about my kids,'” Norwood says, sharing a text message from Foster that reads: You just can’t bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It’s not fair to anyone. It’s not just about you, Norwood says Foster’s brother has also been harassing her, telling him their family “will never accept this child” and that it will “ruin everything” for Arian. Norwood in due in June and is having a boy. She says Foster hasn’t helped with her medical bills and her attorney has filed a temporary restraining order against the running back, saying he has recklessly engaged in a pattern of outrageous conduct that caused Norwood to “suffer severe emotional distress.” The lawyer is also asking a court to have Foster submit to a DNA test. “We want his conduct to stop,” says attorney Douglas York. “We want him to communicate effectively and we want the harassment to end.”

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie: It’s Over!

It’s sad but true: the marriage between Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie has come to an end. Following three years as man and wife, the 26-year old singer and 33-year old former hockey player confirmed today that they are going their separate ways. “Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation,” Duff’s rep says in a statement. “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.” Duff and Comrie got married in August 2010 in Santa Barbara. They have a son, Luca, who turns two this March. Not long after giving birth , Duff talked to E! News about taking time for her relationship as well as for her child. “We go out like once a week together and try and do something fun,” she said. “We either go to dinner…we’re going to go bowling next week. It’s weird scheduling so much because we used to do things on a whim and no we have to schedule. But it’s good. It’s really important for your relationship.” The couple began dating way back in 2007 and we wish them both good luck in the future. UPDATE : Duff has added via Twitter: “Mike and I are sitting here,we are so appreciative for all of your kindness& well wishes. Not an easy day but we’re getting thru it together.”

Zoe Saldana Lands Lead Role In NBC Miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby” Actress Zoe Saldana is joining the likes of Kerry Washington and Gabrielle Union in the land of minority leading ladies after landing the starring female role in an upcoming NBC miniseries titled “Rosemary’s Baby,” which is slated to be an adaptation of the popular 60s novel of the same name. via Deadline Avatar and Star Trek star Zoe Saldana has been tapped as the lead in NBC’s four-hour miniseries Rosemary’s Baby, an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin. The mini centers on Rosemary (Saldana), a young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a dark past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child. Mia Farrow played the role in Roman Polanski’s 1968 feature adaptation. “Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” said NBC’s head of longform Quinn Taylor. This is so sad. Boy Dies Covered In Cigarette Burns This little boy had his whole life ahead of him. According to NY Daily News: A 4-year-old boy died after being found unconscious in the care of a baby-sitter in a Hell’s Kitchen apartment Wednesday — and his body was marked by cigarette burns and defensive wounds, police sources said. Police found Myles Dobson unresponsive when they arrived at the apartment in the Ritz Plaza, a luxury doorman building on W. 48th St., near Eighth Ave., following a 911 call at 10:50 a.m., police said. The boy was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital. The baby-sitter, a 37-year-old woman, was interviewed by detectives for several hours, the sources said. She said she heard a noise, ran back into the bathroom, and found the boy in the tub, unconscious, the sources said. There was no water in the tub, sources said. Investigators had questions about the woman’s story, because the child’s skin was pocked with burns that were consistent with being poked with a lit cigarette, and his body had wounds that appeared to have been sustained while he tried to defend himself, sources said. His body was also bruised, the sources said. “It looks like we’re going to charge her,” a police source told the Daily News, cautioning that a decision had not been made because the investigation had just begun. “It’s too early.” Her story smells fishy. Dad Responds to Daycare Questionnaire, Says 11-Month Old Loves to Nosepick

Teachers often tell kids in school that there are no dumb questions. That may or may not be true. But there are definitely dumb questionnaires. To wit: a father recently received a document from his child’s daycare that asked him to list her strengths, her goals, her interests and more. His child, by the way, is 11 months old. So the parent went ahead and actually answered most categories honestly… he just did so in a totally hilarious manner. See what we mean here: Wrote the user who posted this on Reddit, of his friend: “When daycare, completely seriously, asks my friend to answer stupid questions on behalf of his 11 month old daughter, it is inevitable that stupid answers is what they’ll receive.” We totally wanna hang out with this dad and the mom who made her cyber bullying daughter sell her iPod .
