Three young women who went missing separately about a decade ago were found alive Monday in the same home just south of downtown Cleveland. They had likely been tied up during years of captivity, said police, who arrested three men – all brothers – for the abductions that took place from 2002-2004. One of the women who had been missing for the better part of a decade said she had been abducted and told a 911 dispatcher in a frantic call, “I’m free now.” Crowds gathered on the street near the home where the city’s police chief said he thought Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight had been held. They were in their teens or early 20s when they vanished. The women all miraculously appeared to be in relatively good health and were taken to a hospital to be evaluated and to reunite with long lost relatives. Police said a 6-year-old also was found in the home, but the child’s identity or relationship to anyone in the home wasn’t revealed as of this report. The discovery came after neighbors said they heard someone kicking at a door, yelling for help and trying desperately to get outside the house. A neighbor, Charles Ramsey, told WEWS-TV he saw Berry, whom he didn’t recognize, at a door that would open only enough to fit a hand through. “I heard screaming,” he told the Cleveland station. “I’m eating my McDonald’s. I come outside. I see this girl going nuts trying to get out of a house.” Anna Tejeda, who lives across the street, said Berry was nervous and crying, wearing pajamas and old sandals after she kicked out the screen in a door to escape. On a recorded 911 call Monday, Berry declared frantically to the dispatcher, “I’m Amanda Berry. I’ve been on the news for the last 10 years.” She said she had been taken by someone and begged for police officers to arrive at the residence on Cleveland’s west side before he returned. “I’ve been kidnapped, and I’ve been missing for 10 years,” she said. “And I’m here. I’m free now.” Berry disappeared at age 16 back on April 21, 2003, when she called her sister to say she was getting a ride home from her job at a Burger King. DeJesus went missing at age 14 on her way home from school about a year later. They were found just a few miles from where they had gone missing. Police said Knight went missing in 2002 and is 32 now. Officials said one of the brothers busted after the shocking discovery, a 52-year-old, lived at the home, and the others, ages 50 and 54, lived elsewhere. Authorities released no names of the arrested threesome or indication of what criminal charges they might face, but the investigation is just underway.
This is one of those situations where even if you think something, you are not suppose to say it out loud. We will just call this Raymond’s “teachable moment.” Raymond Kelly Says Blacks Commit 75 Percent Of Violent Crimes According to NY Daily News Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly credited the controversial stop-and-frisk tactic for helping to push New York’s crime rate to record lows. In a television interview, New York’s top cop defended his department’s use of the crime fighting tool and blasted critics who say it targets a disproportionate number of blacks and Latinos. “The stark reality is that crime happens in communities of color,” Kelly told “Nightline” co-anchor Bill Weir Wednesday. “About 70% to 75% of the people described as committing violent crimes — assault, robbery, shootings, grand larceny — are described as being African-American. “The percentage of people who are stopped is 53% African-American,” he continued. “So really, African-Americans are being understopped in relation to the percentage of people being described as being the perpetrators of violent crime.” The commissioner also countered allegations by a Brooklyn teenager that aggressive “proactive policing” like stop-and-frisk creates divisions between communities and police. “When things like this happen, there’s no trust,” said Kasim Walters, 17, of Flatbush. “We are trying to save his life,” Kelly responded. “And we are trying to save the life of other young people who are disproportionately victimized.” The “Nightline” segment also touched on the fatal shooting of Brooklyn teen Kimani Gray by police in March and featured comments by City Councilman Jumaane Williams (D-Brooklyn), a stop-and-frisk critic. The city Health Department reported this week that gun deaths in the city dropped nearly a third from 2000 to 2011. Kelly’s comments come during a lengthy federal trial on stop-and-frisk and a day after Mayor Bloomberg hammered his potential successors for criticizing the NYPD tactic. City Controller John Liu has described stop-and-frisk as racial profiling and called for its end, while other mayoral wanna-bes have said it needs to be reformed. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, two other Democratic contenders, have also been vocal in their support for a bill that would create an inspector general to oversee the NYPD. The federal class-action lawsuit filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights against stop-and-frisk has entered its seventh week of trial. The trial is expected to conclude May 16. Hate to break it to you Raymond, crimes happen in whitey’s part of the neighborhood too. Getty
I have very little to say about Amanda Bynes. Other than I love her. Even when everyone else is saturating the topic, you know getting in the way of my love, by trying to understand this child star who went off the deep end, because that’s what the celeb media does, which is coincidentally exactly what she wanted. It’s like she’s fit, she’s busty, she’s got long legs and the people don’t want anything to do with her, they don’t give her work and they don’t track her every move, which I’m sure to her made no sense, so with her team of hired people she decided to cause scandals, make them think you’re crazy and at least get them talking, knowing exactly what she’s doing, and really it’s been the best thing for her career. People are bored, people like crazy. This installment of bra flash, big titty selfie, in her scripted breakdown into crazy, is my kind of crazy. It is the gateway to more exhibitionism, which is really what the people want, and by people I mean me, because none of you fuckers matter, you’re just getting in the way of my connection with Amanda Bynes. Amanda Bynes. She’s amazing.
Some mothers take their sons to rehab. This mother said phuck that I’m whooping that a**. Mom Beats Up Son’s Drug Dealer According to River Front Times “She did what any good mother would do.” So says the attorney of Sherrie Gavan, a 54-year-old Jefferson County mother who was convicted this week of third-degree assault for attacking a 22-year-old man with a baseball bat. What was her motive? She said the man was her son’s drug dealer — and had contributed to his drug addiction. Her explanation, however, apparently did not convince a jury the way she hoped it would. Check out her firsthand account of the incident below. Here’s a Post-Dispatch interview in which Gavan explains the events leading up to the assault. “My mother’s instinct took over,” she told the paper. “I was scared. I was paranoid. I did not know what was going on.” The confrontation occurred, she said, after she had warned Joshua Loyd, the 22-year-old who had apparently done drugs with Gavan’s son, now nineteen, to stay away. But Assistant Jefferson County Prosecutor Jacob Costello made the argument to jurors that she broke the law, regardless of the circumstances, the P-D reports. “This case is not about whether Mrs. Gavan is a good parent. You can’t take matters into your own hands like that…. She made a choice to pull out the baseball bat.” The mother told the paper, “I don’t know what happens from here. I just know you can’t protect your child anymore.” A sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 4. Do you think she was right for giving that shady drug dealer that work or is she out-of-order? Fifteen years after Denise Richards’ and Neve Campbell’s swimming-pool make-out session made Wild Thing s a cult hit, director John McNaughton says he and the film’s screewriter Stephen Peters are working on a continuation of the story that would involve those characters children and take its inspiration from the Amanda Knox case. If you didn’t see the Lifetime docudrama, Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy , that’s the tabloid-headline-generating case in which Knox, an American student in Italy, was initially convicted then acquitted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher during a rough sex game that involved two other men in 2007. (Italy’s highest court has since ordered a retrial.) McNaughton told Hollywood.com the following: “It’s not one of the sequels, but about their children,” he says. OK, that sounds odd, but just wait. It gets real crazy. “Do you know the Amanda Knox case? It’s something like that. Something that’s like the child of Suzie Toller [Campbell’s character], she claimed that Matt Dillon ‘s [character] had raped her a long time ago and maybe there is a child and maybe Bill Murray ‘s character had a child and they’re exchange students and things get out of hand. We’re calling it Wild Child Things .” Love the title, and, as the website pointed out, Richards and Campbell are “super available” these days. The big questions are whether Murray could be enticed into making a cameo if his seed actually figures into the plot, and whether Knox’s legal and public relations team, who have been battling hard to protect their client from all the “Foxy Knoxy” innuendo , will push back against McNaughton making the connection between his movie and the Italian melodrama. Along those same lines, Knox has been making the media rounds to promote her memoir Waiting to Be Heard , which tells her side of the story. What the hell ?!?! Woman Who Assaulted Girls Claims To Have Gay Man Inside Of Her A Buford woman is facing two counts of sexual assault against a child after allegedly climbing into bed with two young girls and simulating an act of sexual intercourse. Via Buford Patch reports: Gwinnett County Police were called to a Buford home on April 21 after the mother of the two girls learned of the incident. According to the police report, the woman, identified as Jessica Head, 25, had been to a nightclub with the adult brother of the two girls. The brother said both he and Head had consumed alcohol and returned home around 3:30 a.m. The brother said he went to bed and left Head sleeping on the sofa. The siblings, the report explained, “all slept in the same bed.” At some point during the night, one of the girls, described in the police report as a “very articulate and intelligent” 10-year-old, awoke to find Head on top of her. According to the child, “Head removed the blanket that was covering her, climbed on top of her (making it difficult for her to leave) and then began a back and forth motion on top of her.” The girl, according to the police, said she thought Head was “trying to have sex with her” given the movement. The girl added that Head reached her hand down and grabbed her outer thigh. She told police she was able to free herself after attempts to wake her brother and sister were futile. Head then reportedly moved on top of the girl’s 12-year-old sister and “began the same motion consistent with sexual intercourse.” “About that time … the girls’ brother woke up. He said when he awoke, he saw Head on top of [the sister]. He said that words were exchanged briefly and he instructed Head to get off his sister,” the officer wrote in the report. “She ultimately did and went into the living room.” Later, during a conversation with the investigating officer, the brother “expressed that he thought it was possible Head thought she was interacting with him.” The mother, who had heard one of the girls scream, reportedly entered the room as Head was getting up from the bed. The mother took the girls into her room and, after realizing what had transpired, called police. In the report, the officer described Head as “uncooperative and belligerent” throughout most of the encounter. When asked what had happened, Head reportedly replied, “I didn’t rape no kids!” “I thought the response was odd considering I asked a very general question and had not informed her of any of the statements from the victims,” the officer wrote. Head explained she had gone to sleep on the couch and had done nothing else. According to the report, she later admitted having been in the room with the girls, but was just trying to sleep. At one point during the conversation with the officer, Head reportedly said “I’m a d*ke” and then, according to the report, added “I am a gay man trapped in a woman’s body.” “Head never gave a coherent statement during my encounter with her,” the officer noted. The officer further wrote, “I believed the actions alleged were committed by Head to the children in an attempt to arouse herself.” Based on the witness and victim statements, Head was placed under arrest. She was later booked into the jail on two counts of child molestation and, as of April 22, remained jailed. Bond is set at $11,400. This might go down as one of the dumbest excuse a criminal has EVER made. How does this even make sense? It just doesn’t!
NBC was not Ready For Love after all. The dating series, which has aired only two episodes, has been canned and will be replaced by Grimm in the network’s maligned Tuesday, 10 p.m. slot. It is unclear where or when remaining episodes of the Eva Longoria-produced dating show, a convoluted knockoff of The Bachelor , will air. Despite its powerhouse lead-in with The Voice , Ready For Love had a shaky premiere in the ratings, then dropped significantly in its second airing. So long, RFL .
Herbert and Catherine Schaible – a couple serving probation for the 2009 death of their two-year old son – may face new charges this week after they allowed a second child to pass away without medical care. The Schaibles belong to a fundamentalist Christian church that believes solely in faith healing. As a result, they lost 8-month-old Brandon last week after a multi-day battle with diarrhea and breathing difficulties that was never addressed by a doctor. Four years ago, another untreated son passed away from bacterial pneumonia. On 10 years’ probation for that incident, the couple may now face new charges because The Associated Press reports that terms of that probation included mandatory medical assistance for all future kids. “There are way more questions than answers at this point. We haven’t seen the autopsy report. We don’t know the cause of death of this child,” said Catherine’s attorney, Mythri Jayaraman. The lawyer went on to say “Mr. and Mrs. Schaible are distraught, they are grieving, they are tremendously sad about the loss of their most recent baby.” In 2009, a jury convicted the Schaibles of involuntary manslaughter after the death of Kent, 2. The boy’s symptoms at the time of his passing included coughing, congestion, crankiness and a loss of appetite. Similar to their actions back then, the Schaibles told investigators in regard to Brandon’s recent death that they prayed to God to make their son well instead of providing him with any medical treatment.
