Bobby Brown Wants Daughter to Enter Rehab

Bobby Brown and his former in-laws are at such odds that the singer was nearly uninvited to Whitney Houston’s funeral (and then proceeded to exit after just a few minutes in attendance). But the opposing parties apparently have one thing in common: both are VERY concerned over the state of Bobbi Kristina, Brown and Houston’s 18-year old daughter. With reports circulating that claim Bobbi vanished for hours after her mother was laid to rest, and was eventually discovered with drugs in her system , the New Edition singer is reportedly is urging his child to enter a rehab program. “Krissy has taken her mother’s death really hard, not surprisingly, and Bobby is terrified she’s going to do something stupid,” an insider tells Radar Online. “He wants her in a treatment center, getting professional help to get her through the grieving process without falling back on alcohol or drugs to mask her pain.” Ironically and tragically, of course, the basis of Brown’s beef with Whitney’s family is his history of substance abuse and their belief that he played a significant role in setting both Whitney and Bobbi down this dangerous path.

Gabriel Aubry Avoids Criminal Charges in Nanny Case

Finally some good legal news today for Gabriel Aubry. Sources tell TMZ the Canadian model will NOT be charged criminally for allegedly shoving his daughter’s nanny a few weeks ago, an act that has resulted in numerous hearings and court battles between Aubry and ex-girlfriend Halle Berry. While a battery report was filed by the nanny in question, a Los Angeles County Attorney spokesman says there’s “insufficient evidence” against Gabriel to pursue any charges. However, there is still plenty to work out between Aubry, Berry and the L.A. Department of Children and Family Services, especially after Nahla told officials that she’s often frightened of her father, due to his outbursts of anger. For now, Aubry can only see his child under the supervision of a monitor, while Berry has petitioned a court to allow her to move to France with Nahla and fiance Olivier Martinez. [Photo: WENN.com]

Random Ridiculousness: Dad Accidentally Turns On “Freaky Flick” At Child’s Birthday Party Instead Of The Smurfs

Those poor children are probably scarred for life now! He probably should have stuck to Pin the Tail on the Donkey. A Tremonton man hosting his child’s birthday party over the weekend briefly played a freaky and graphic video for kids in attendance, Police Chief Dave Nance said Monday. The man, whose name was not released, had rented “The Smurfs” DVD from a Redbox kiosk to show at the party, Nance said. However, after loading the movie into his laptop and switching on the device, graphic images briefly flashed up on a projection screen in view of the young partygoers, Nance said. The man notified police Monday to report someone had tampered with “The Smurfs” DVD. Police inspected the DVD but didn’t find any problem with the disc and assumed the flick was probably on the laptop. Information regarding how many children were at the party was not available. Police do not intend to investigate further or seek criminal charges because the incident was apparently an accident, Nance said, adding that the man is embarrassed. “He’s got some explaining to do (to children at the party and their parents),” he said. Kendall and Kylie Jenner Strike a Chic Pose

It’s really only a matter of time before Kendall and Kylie Jenner are on the red carpets of Las Vegas and/or headlining their own reality show. For now, though, the 14-year old and 16-year old are simply following in their sisters’ modeling footsteps, the latest example being a shoot with celebrity photographer Nick Saglimbeni. A rather grown up, chic shoot at that: Kylie Tweeted the photo above last night, as the siblings are going all glam in trendy black dresses and some serious hairdos. Might modeling take the place of college for the twosome? It sounds that way, based on a recent quote from father Bruce Jenner: “If they want to go to college, certainly, I think it’s a good idea. But I’m not the advocate of, ‘You’ve got to go to college!’ I think by the time they graduate from high school, they will probably be in a position to go right to working.” Let’s just hope neither is pitching the same product as their mother any time soon.

Kelly Rowland Pushes for U.S. X Factor Gig

Simon Cowell may not have offered Beyonce $100 millon, but he made it clear in a recent interview that he’d love for the former Destiny’s Child singer to sit at the judging table on season two of The X Factor . We wonder if he’d settle for another ex-member of that group, however. Speaking to CNN this week, Kelly Rowland – who served as a panelist in Great Britain – made it clear she’d embrace the same role here on Fox. “It would be awesome to be a judge over here for The X Factor ,” the artist said . “I really enjoyed my time over in the U.K. being a judge. That was a great opportunity and a great experience, and I would love to do it again.” But is Rowland a big enough name to help Cowell boost the ratings of a series he swore would outdraw American Idol ?
