No mom wants her 5-year-old daughter being called a “prosti-tot” or other such things. Even if she’s partially or wholly responsible for that happening. According to Susanna Barrett and her lawyer, the bad reputation that her daughter, Isabella Barrett, has gotten since a video of her singing along to LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” and Rihanna’s “We Found Love” is why she’s suing for $30 million. Barrett’s problem isn’t that TMZ posted the video. She gave them the footage, in fact. It’s that she was under the impression TMZ was going to write a “fluff story,” but ended up making a “brazen attempt to sexualize” her child. Allegedly. First off, Barrett says, her daughter was not performing in a nightclub, as reported, but rather in an impromptu sing-along at a pet-charity dinner. “It was kind of a spontaneous thing,” the elder Barrett recalls. “You can see other people had their camera and cell phones out. You know Isabella is on a reality show so it’s not uncommon for people to be taking pictures of her.” “There was a red carpet there, so we were taking pictures, as well.” As for the songs, Barrett maintains that Isabella was only in the spotlight for about 30 seconds of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” before Rihanna kicked in. “She didn’t know all the words, and the sensationalism of it was actually more exciting then actually what you’re watching – that’s where the problem lies.”

Trace Cyrus Speaks on Engagement to Brenda Song, Mum on Pregnancy

The Brenda Song pregnancy mystery remains unsolved. Or, actually, perhaps this interview solves it. Trace Cyrus spoke to People Magazine this week about his fiancee and their plans to wed, saying he’d love to tie the knot in Vegas, but he knows Song wouldn’t exactly go for that plan. “Every girl wants a big, beautiful wedding,” the 22-year old told People . “And at the end of the day, I’ll do whatever she wants.” The young couple got engaged in October , amidst rumors that the Disney actress was expecting. But Song’s mother denied this was the case, despite many reports to the contrary… and then Brenda donned a ” Love Child ” sweater in public. Was she just messing with the press? Sending a not-so-subtle message? Coincidentally donning an old piece of clothing? Whatever the answer, Trace never touched on any baby talk during his chat with the magazine. “When I asked her [to marry me], I told her, ‘I don’t care if we get married tomorrow, two weeks from now, a year from now or 10 years from now; it doesn’t matter,'” Cyrus said, adding that wedding bells might not even ring for a year or two. But he’s in no rush. He’s simply a content musician. “It’s just been good to enjoy someone else’s company and not worry about a million different things. MTV spoke with Gunz’s father, Peter Gunz about the incident: The details are still sketchy, but I can confirm that he was arrested with a firearm yesterday in the Bronx. They caught him around 2p.m. in the afternoon with a loaded gun in his knapsack. It was definitely an illegal search. I spoke to the arresting officer, and so far, what I’m hearing from him is that they got a phone call at the station saying they should ‘look out”. According to [the officer], they didn’t know he was Cory Gunz. They just saw a bunch of kids following him around. What I will say is that the officer that arrested Cory, actually happened to be a cool dude. After arresting Cory, sitting down with him and talking, he felt bad about the situation. At the end of the day, there’s a reason for everything, but at the same time, in New York, it’s mandatory jail time. To go to a precinct and see your son, your junior, in handcuffs, it’s heartbreaking. Anytime you see your child in jail, in the cell, in handcuffs, it’s very hard. He’s walked down some of the same paths that I walked down, but you never want to see your kids go through what you went through. This is Cory’s first offense, but sometimes they like to make an example out of rappers and people with any kind of celebrity to them

Looks like Cory is walking in the footsteps of his label President Lil Wayne … On Sunday (January 29) MTV News spoke with veteran Bronx rapper Peter Gunz, who confirmed that his son Cory Gunz was in custody, after being arrested with a loaded firearm. The 24-year-old rapper was handcuffed around 2p.m. on Saturday in his hometown, Bronx, New York where he is now being held. “It was definitely an illegal search,” Peter revealed. Gunz was unable to disclose full details on the incident just yet, but he explained the events leading up to his son’s arrest. “I spoke to the arresting officer, and so far, what I’m hearing from him is that they got a phone call at the station saying they should ‘look out,’ ” Gunz said. “According to [the officer], they didn’t know he was Cory Gunz. They just saw a bunch of kids following him around. “What I will say is that the officer that arrested Cory, actually happened to be a cool dude,” Gunz continued. “After arresting Cory, sitting down with him and talking, he felt bad about the situation.” Gunz junior was brought to the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx on Saturday, but officials there say he has since been transported to Central Booking, on E. 161st Street in the Bronx. For those that aren’t aware, Cory is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label, but is managed by none other than Nick “Goof Troop” CANNON , which adds yet ANOTHER layer of irony to his arrest. While this is Cory Gunz’s first brush with the law, his father is still worried about the potential fallout from a firearm charge. “At the end of the day, there’s a reason for everything, but at the same time, in New York, it’s mandatory jail time,” he said. “To go to a precinct and see your son, your junior, in handcuffs, it’s heartbreaking. Gabriel Aubry to Attend Anger Management Counseling

Anger Management. It’s more than just the name of a terrible Adam Sandler movie and Charlie Sheen’s next vehicle. It’s also the way in which Gabriel Aubry hopes to maintain contact with his daughter. Following a reportedly ugly incident in which Halle Berry’s ex either shoved his nanny while she was cradling daughter Nahla, or at least screamed at her, Aubry has agreed to enroll in anger management courses. The move came after he and Berry met for hours yesterday with representatives from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Sources tell TMZ Aubry still insists he didn’t touch the nanny, but a law enforcement official close to the case says: “Gabriel has a little bit of a temper, but the good news is that he realizes it.” Aubry is not free from potential charges or consequences, however. He and Berry will still convene in front of a judge on Monday morning and it’s possible Gabriel will be barred from seeing his child until a criminal investigation is complete.

A Woods Cross, Utah, woman was arrested for allegedly forcing her 9-year-old son to walk alongside her car as she pulled him along by his belt and steered him toward school after he’d missed the school bus. Police said the boy could have been hit by traffic driving in the opposite direction on the two-lane road and have turned the case over to the Davis County District Attorney’s office, which will decide whether to charge the mother with child endangerment. “She was going at a slow enough speed that the child was able to keep pace with the vehicle,” Woods Cross Police Chief Greg Butler said. A neighbor phoned his department about what the mother was doing. Her name is not being released because she has not been charged, and the child — who is not deemed to be in imminent danger — remains in his mother’s care, Butler said. “I know my mom was upset when we’d miss the school bus, but she never drug us there,” said Danny Rhodes, a parent. “I can’t imagine any circumstance that would permit a parent to punish by dragging [with] a belt,” said Cassandra Jedd, a mother of three. WTF?!?! 11 Year-Old Thug Pulled A Gun On A Mother And Her 3 Year-Old While Riding A Portland Train

The mother was so shook that she didn’t want to be identified for fear that the boys friends would recognize her The mother on her way home from visiting the zoo with her son Thursday night said the 11-year-old boy who flashed a gun at her on a MAX train was harassing her… An argument started after a group of kids got on the train at the Skidmore Fountain station and one of them bumped the mother’s stroller. She said they started kicking it so hard that a soda on top of it fell on her child who was seated in the stroller. She said she tried to move to another seat but the group followed her and started cursing at her. Then the 11-year-old boy lifted his shirt and flashed a gun in his waistband. She said when he started to pull it out she backed away and he put the gun back. When it was all happening, the mother, who did not want to be identified, said she panicked at first, fearing the boy might use the gun. “He stands up and sticks his hand down his pants, and I don’t see anything particularly but I see more than his hand – more of bulge,” she said. “I don’t know exactly, but my instincts just told me what it was. … Yeah, it was a mamma bear instinct. I instantly got on the phone. I didn’t know what else to do.” The mother then called 911 while her friend distracted the kids. The train stopped at the Old Town/Chinatown stop and the 11-year-old was taken into custody after the mother pointed him out to police. After arresting the lil bastard, the police were shocked at what they found… Police said he had a loaded .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun in his waistband. They also said another boy on the train, a 13-year-old, had a BB gun in his backpack. He was also taken into custody. In court Friday the 11-year-old boy was in tears and kept his head down the entire time. The judge ordered the boy to be held in juvenile custody through the weekend. He faces six charges. Portland Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said in his 18-year career he’s never seen or heard of a case where an 11-year-old was armed and confrontational in public. “People in the community are scratching their head going, what in the world could be going on that an 11-year-old has a gun and that is his resolution to a conflict where you bump into a baby stroller to pull a gun,” he said.
