The custody battle between Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry is growing uglier each day. Throughout this week, sources have claimed that the model often berated the actress in despicable terms ; while Berry replied by treating her child’s father like a sperm bank . At the center of this feud, of course, is two-year old Nahla. It was her reaction to spending time with Aubry in December that reportedly raised concerns for Berry. “She was crying and kicking and screaming. She was hanging onto her mother’s legs so she didn’t have to go,” a insider tells People of a an incident around Christmas when her dad arrived to pick Nahla up. Gabriel allegedly responded by “forcing” his daughter into his car. Ever since, terms of the parents’ relationship have gone from amicable to extremely sour. Meanwhile, TMZ quotes a source who says Aubry grew incensed any time Nahla was referred to as “black.” Whenever the Canadian model would read such a reference, he supposedly demanded Berry contact the publication and ask for a “retraction.” There’s been little said by Berry and Aubry themselves through this ordeal, making it difficult to know what/who to believe. The best we can do is hope that everyone remembers what’s at stake here: the well-being of a little girl.

Amber Portwood Admits: I Suck at Parenting

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood appeared at child protective custody hearing this week and admitted she’s been an “unfit mom” to daughter Leah. Portwood appeared before a judge at Madison County (Ind.) Court for a case update after Leah was temporarily placed in dad Gary Shirley’s care. Originally, Portwood had denied striking Gary in front of their baby, but said her home was not fit for Leah to live in, because it had no furniture. This week, though, she “withdrew her previous denials.” EMBATTLED AMBER : Portwood is fighting hard to get it together . Portwood is currently out on bail after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a broadcast of Teen Mom in September of last year. Not only did she smack around Gary, but Leah supposedly watched. She was caught on camera slapping Gary Shirley , who was also at the hearing this week. Portwood is under strict supervision by Child Protective Services. If they find that her living situation is unsuitable or that Leah is in any danger, she will be returned to her father. Possibly on a permanent basis this time. While Gary has expressed a desire to have the restraining order against Amber lifted, Leah has been spending time with Gary’s new girlfriend of late. Autumn Jones has been quietly dating Gary for nearly a month and not only is she playing second mother to Leah, she has one-year-old daughter too. Gary and Amber have been communicating with each other despite the No Contact Order that prohibits them from doing so – and that they want lifted . As of now, it remains in effect. The judge ordered both parties to appear before him once again at a later date for a custody update. Stay tuned.

Amber Portwood, Gary Shirley to Form United Front, Battle State For Baby Leah

Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley have their differences, but the Teen Mom tandem is in agreement that they want control of Leah and contact with each other. The pair will separately appear in an Anderson, Ind., court today in a bid to achieve both goals. For Gary, it’s a No Contact Order against Amber he wants gone. For Amber, it’s to get the Department of Child Services out of her life, so that she can raise her baby girl without her being a ward of the State of Indiana. One of Gamber’s rare civil moments . “Amber and Gary have the same goals,” a source close to the pair said. “They want the Department of Child Services out, so everything can go back to normal.” Normal often meant Gary getting his ass whomped , with Leah present no less, so it’s very possible the Department of Child Services could deny their request. “If DCS denies Gary’s request, he’ll know what he’s up against,” the source said. And you thought those altercations at Buffalo Wild Wings were intense … That’s not even all, either. Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley share custody of Leah, 2, but due to an ongoing domestic violence probe of Amber, she needs to prove parental competence. Felony charges could also land her behind in the slammer. Despite bad-mouthing her a lot, Gary Shirley doesn’t want Amber to end up in jail, our source tells us: “He and Amber both realize they have a child in common.” “Both of them just want to make sure nothing goes wrong.” What do you think? Halle Berry isn’t the only one having issues with the father of her child : Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is headed for a nasty custody battle with the father of her 11-month-old daughter Krishna. Baby daddy Adam Dell filed a suit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday night in an effort to get more time with his child. A lawyer for Adam — the brother of billionaire Dell Inc. founder Michael Dell — says, “He wants to have an active and substantial role in the upbringing of his daughter… Unfortunately, Ms. Lakshmi has severely limited his time with their daughter and has refused to negotiate a reasonable co-parenting agreement. Mr. Dell has tried his best to avoid going to court, but Ms. Lakshmi has given him no other choice at this time.” Padma’s rep shot back: “It appears to us that Mr. Dell remains more interested in garnering media attention than working out details to see Krishna or in her welfare.” SMH at him doing it to “attention whore” vs. actually wanting to spend time with his child.
