Jenelle Evans Delays Makeup Release Date AGAIN: Is Her Business Officially Done?!

Jenelle Evans is having a tough time lately. And we're not talking about the continued concerns about her ability to raise her children. Or the fact that she's now launched an ill-advised smear campaign against Olivia Leedham , the mother of David Eason's son. No, the latest Evans mini-scandal has to do with the release of her long-gestating makeup line. Jenelle has been teasing the release of JE Cosmetics for years, and she had an online launch date set for September 1. That date came and went with no launch — and now, fans want answers. Take a look: 1. Cosmetics Queen After years of waiting, Jenelle recently announced that she was FINALLY set to release her makeup line. 2. Makeup Mogul The line has reportedly been Jenelle’s main focus in the months since she got fired from Teen Mom 2, and insiders say she hoped it would lead her down the path to total financial independence. 3. Serious Commitment Apparently, the fear of financial ruin is the only motivator Jenelle needed. She was so serious about getting this thing off the ground that she went to D.C. to meet with investors DURING her custody battle. 4. Many Hurdles Of course, there are setbacks and unexpected challenges with any small business launch, but in Jenelle’s case, it seems like that’s all she’s encountered. 5. The Hard Sell These days, Jenelle’s reputation is so bad she can’t even find companies willing to pay her to post sponsored content on her Instagram. 6. Can She Be Trusted? She says she’s found investors to partner with her on her current project, but who are they? And more importantly, where’s the product? View Slideshow

Middle Schooler Provides Classmates In Need With Clothes And School Supplies

A middle schooler from Louisiana is paying it forward by ensuring that his classmates have basic necessities to start the school year. To help students in need, 13-year-old Chase Neyland-Square created a closet at his school to provide them with free clothes and school supplies, CBS News reported. 13-year-old creates school closet to give clothes and supplies to classmates in need https://t.co/UCP3CBbjmD pic.twitter.com/pAre3ssKCa — CBS News (@CBSNews) August 30, 2019 Neyland-Square—an eighth-grader at Port Allen Middle School—came up with the concept for the project while participating in the school’s SPARK (Student Program for Arts, Recreation, and Knowledge) program. He and other students were tasked with developing ideas for social good initiatives that would benefit the school and the local community. Aware of the struggles faced by some of his peers, Neyland-Square decided to transform one of the closets at his school into PAM’s Pantry; a space that houses donated clothes, shoes, personal care and hygiene products and school supplies for students and their families. “I know that everybody doesn’t have things and I’m fortunate to have things that other people don’t have, and I look at it as sometimes, how would I feel in that situation?” he said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “I’m going to come back and continue working on PAM’s Pantry. I’m hoping one day I can turn it into a non-profit organization.” Initiatives like the one being led by Neyland-Square are needed. According to the National Center for Children in Poverty , 15 million children throughout the country live in extreme poverty and are unable to afford school supplies. Several youngsters are leading their own philanthropic efforts to help people in need. In celebration of their birthday, Alabama-based 12-year-olds Breanna and Brooke Bennett launched an initiative designed to provide care packages that include hygiene products for girls their age. In North Carolina, a 3-year-old entrepreneur donated the sales from her lemonade stand to help homeless mothers and children. Source: Paul Archuleta / Getty Gloria Govan Regains Custody Of Her Sons Late last year, ex-NBA player Matt Barnes was given sole custody of his twin boys with former reality actress Gloria Govan. Now, Gloria can rest easy. Her boys are back at home. According to The Blast , Gloria and Matt finally settled their case and will split legal and physical custody of the twins equally. The boys are set to spend alternate weeks with each parent and the former couple has agreed that attending events for the children would not constitute a violation of Matt’s restraining order against Gloria. Additionally, Gloria will receive $9,983 a month in child support, a $2,500 increase, and Matt will pay Gloria’s $15,000 legal bill. That’s some positive news, right? Quavo To Exec Produce Cartoon Series Based on Atlanta’s Hip-Hop Scene

Original post:

Source: Way Out West Festival Sweden – Day 1 – Performances Featuring: Migos, Quavo Where: Gothenburg, Sweden When: 10 Aug 2017 Credit: Emelie Andersson/WENN.com  Hip-Hop has come a long way from the days when rappers making cameos in big time Hollywood movies and TV shows were considered a huge deal for the culture. Nowadays not only are rappers doing their thing on the silver screen and on the tube, but they’re also getting in on the animation game. Just a few months after Vince Staples’ Adult Swim project Lazor Wulf was announced, the Migos’ Quavo  broke the news that he and Imagine Entertainment’s co-founder Brian Grazer are working together on an animation project inspired by Atlanta’s Hip-Hop scene. According to Complex the ATLien and Grazer are set to executive-produce a “transformative franchise” but unlike the mature content found in Staples’ Lazor Wulf , Quavo’s vision is being crafted to accommodate the children of the culture. “I have long seen how hip-hop as well as our music (Migos) really impacts kids,” Quavo said in a press release Thursday announcing the new animated franchise series aimed at kids ages 8-12. “I’ve loved animation my whole life whether on TV or in movies and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids. It will definitely reflect the creativity, love, and families in and around the NAWF side of Atlanta where we grew up.” The series will draw from the Atlanta hip-hop scene and marks a partnership between Imagine’s Marginal Mediaworks, Imagine Kids+Family, Quality Control Music, and Motown. Quality Control’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee will produce alongside Dan Altmann and Capitol Music Group’s Brian Nolan and Ryan Allingham. Sounds like Quavo and company are about to fill a space needed for the kids who don’t have many cartoons to choose from that they can relate to. Coach K said as much when sharing his thoughts on the upcoming project. “When I was growing up there was very little media that had brown and black skinned kids feeling heard or seen and the ones that did stood out and served as a crucial roadmap through our childhoods,” he said. “I’m about inclusive stories that address all kinds of situations that kids of ALL ethnic and financial backgrounds experience and to give them a common tool to learn and grow.” No word yet on when the series will premier but expect some original music and merchandise to accompany it’s release when the time comes.

Gina Kirschenheiter is Vengeful and Lives for Drama, Ex-Husband Claims

Earlier this summer, we reported on a truly nightmarish ordeal. Gina Kirschenheiter’s ex allegedly threatened to murder her after attacking her in her home. Now, that same ex-husband is accusing her in court of being “vindictive” and hyping up tensions for Real Housewives drama. In June, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter endured a harrowing alleged attack. She says that her ex-husband, Matt, broke into her home late at night and attacked her in her living room. In addition to repeatedly striking and shoving her, she says that he repeatedly threatened her life. At one point, Gina ran outside to get help from a neighbor, but accuses Matt of having dragged her back to the house. Police arrived and arrested Matt, and now the exes are facing off in court over visitation of their young children. RadarOnline reports that, in a July 30 declaration made over a month after the alleged attack, Matt is trying to smear Gina in court documents. “Petitioner has historically been extremely vindictive,” Matt claims of his ex-wife. “And,” he accuses. “Has used the children when she becomes angry or wants to control me.” “Petitioner has been acting erratically and in a way that I believe is unfortunately more based on a ‘storyline’ for her reality television show,” Matt says. “And,” he writes. “Not rooted in the best interest of our children.” Just as Gina is trying to revoka Matt’s visitation in the aftermath of the June incident, he says that she has wanted to do so before. “She caused total chaos,” Matt recalls. “As we did not know if she was coming to pick up the children or not.” He writes: “Petitioner texted my sister ‘Visitation will be revoked. He needs to get himself in order. He’s sick. Not broke.” “Petitioner demanding that my visitation with our children by ‘revoked’ simply because she was going to be required to pay her own car payment,” Matt adds. He continues: “is consistent with her historical vindictive mature and using the children as ‘leverage.'” Matt also levels an accusation that Gina has issued threats of her own. According to his declaration, Gina once “threatened” his mother in a text message. Gina is said to have texted “You’ll see what happens next!” alongside a photo of a firework going off. “I am convinced that Petitioner is using any excuse she can to separate the children from me,” Matt writes. “As she knows that is my Achilles Heel.” He also complains that he was “forced to resign” from his job after his arrest in June, though it’s not clear how that’s supposed to be Gina’s fault. Exes claiming that the other is stirring up drama for reality TV reasons isn’t new. It’s as old as reality TV itself. But it only makes sense that Bravo’s cameras would cover the aftermath of Gina’s DUI arrest in February. It doesn’t sound like Gina and Matt are going to agree on anything, let alone decisions about their young children, in the near future. The two of them are due to face off in court again on August 14. View Slideshow: The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14: Everything We Know

Ashley Martson: I Don’t Give AF if Jay Gets Deported! Boy Bye!!

Jay Smith spent almost all of the month of July behind bars in ICE custody. He would still be there — had his boss not bailed him out in a stunning display of generosity. Now, Jay's ex-wife, Ashley Martson, is weighing in on Jay's arrest. (The arrest happened because he violated the Protection From Abuse order that she took out on him, after all) Ashley reveals that Jay's cheating goes above and beyond what's already public knowledge. She also says that his deportation is pretty much inevitable — and that she doesn't give a flying flip so long as he's out of her life. 1. Ashley is speaking out After Jay was arrested, spent weeks in ICE custody, and then got bailed out by his boss, Ashley is weighing in — and spilling everything she knows about his cheating. There was more of it than fans had realized. 2. She says Jay needed no help getting himself arrested Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Ashley explains: “It said right on the front, like you can’t discuss Ashley or this PFA on social media. And he did.” 3. Yep If you’re not allowed to discuss something, putting it in your Instagram Stories isn’t the best move. 4. But Jay was going to jail regardless “I did know they were coming on,” Ashley reveals. “It was on a Thursday. So they were coming on Monday to detain him because he was there illegally.” 5. Jay only hastened the inevitable “The PFA and the violation just got him arrested basically two days earlier than what he would have been,” Ashley adds. 6. Won’t part of her miss him when he’s gone? “Honestly, I don’t really care if he’s deported,” Ashley admits. It sounds like she’s experienced a lot of personal growth this year. A few months ago, she’d have been torn up at the idea. View Slideshow

Toni Morrison Dies; Beloved Poet Laureate Was 88

Toni Morrison, the first African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize in literature, died last night in a New York hospital. She was 88 years old. Knopf spokesman Paul Bogaards confirmed the author’s death, but didn’t announce an immediate cause or provide any further details. Morrison was born on February 18, 1931, in Lorain, Ohio. She was the second oldest of four children born to George and Ramah Wofford, sharecroppers who had migrated north from Alabama. The couple raised their kids in an integrated, working-class neighborhood, an experience Morrison would later explain as follows to The New York Times: “When I was in first grade, nobody thought I was inferior. I was the only black in the class and the only child who could read.” Morrison graduated with honors from Lorain High School in 1949 and went on to Howard University, where she majored in English and minored in the classics. Morrison’s best known book is likely “Beloved,” which centered on a mother making the tragic choice to murder her baby to save the girl from slavery; it won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1988. Five years later, she awarded the 1993 Nobel Prize for Literature, as judges hailed her as one “who in novels characterized by visionary force and poetic import, gives life to an essential aspect of American reality. Morrison was also bestowed America’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in 2012. You can see President Barack Obama hang the prize around her neck in the memorable photo above. Overall, Morrison was a renowned figure in literature, with multiple novels under her belt that spoke to the African-American experience. Along with “Beloved,” you may be familiar with “Jazz” and “Paradise,” the three of which comprised a loose trilogy — with the first book being adapted into the 1998 film starring Oprah and Danny Glover. Other notable works include “Song of Solomon,” “The Bluest Eye” and “Sula.” Throughout her unparalleled career, Morrison wrote 11 novels in her life, many non-fiction books, five children’s books, two plays, two short fiction stories and one libretto. She also wrote numerous essays and university papers. Morrison is also sort of relevant right now for a very unfortunate reason. On politics, she penned an essay shortly after the election of Donald Trump for the New Yorker titled “Mourning for Whiteness,” calling out white supremacy. A documentary about Toni’s life was made also earlier this year called “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am.” In a statement released by Princeton University, where she taught, the author’s family called her “our adored mother and grandmother.” “She was an extremely devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt who reveled in being with her family and friends,” the statement said, concluding as follows: “The consummate writer who treasured the written word, whether her own, her students or others, she read voraciously and was most at home when writing. “Although her passing represents a tremendous loss, we are grateful she had a long, well lived life.” She leaves behind two children — her sons, Slade and Harold — and an endless array of citizens around the world who have been influenced by her works and her words. May Toni Morrison rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
