Black “Daily Show” Writer Says Jon Stewart Told Him To “Fawk Off” Over Proposed Racism Segment

Y’all already know white guilt only goes so far right? Even for the most liberal folks — sometimes they just can’t take the truth! Via NY Daily News reports : Wyatt Cenac, who left the night time political show in 2012, appeared on Marc Maron’s podcast WTF, where he shared a story about the host attacking him. The conversation began when Maron asked the writer if he and Stewart got along and he simply answered, “naw.” The two didn’t see eye-to-eye after Fox News started attacking the Daily Show for Stewart’s impression of Herman Cain. The host came up with the idea to do a segment called “everything I do is racist,” and Cenac told him he thought it was a bad idea. Instead of hearing Cenac out, Stewart apparently got really defensive. “I remember he was like, ‘What are you trying to say? There’s a tone in your voice,’” he explained. “I was like, ‘There’s no tone, it bothered me.’ And I was like, ‘It sounded like Kingfish.’ Then he got upset, and he stood up, and he was just like, ‘F–k off, I’m done with you.’” The comedian stormed out of the room and although their dispute didn’t get “settled” according to Cenac he did eventually tell him he “shouldn’t have yelled.”   This seems pretty mild considering how passionate ish can get in the writers room but we’re disappointed in Jon Stewart for losing his cool and not respecting Wyatt’s opinion. Oh and is it just us, or is Wyatt kinda fine???   APImages/Charles Sykes

Madonna Says Using The N-Word Was Her Son’s Idea, And Appropriating Black Culture Is White Artists’ Right

Madonna Says N-Word Was Her Son’s Idea, Tells Critics To “Kiss Her A**” Madonna is just churning out those soundbites …and possibly jamming her foot in her mouth in the process. In a new interview , she hides her hands on the usage of the n-word when referring to a boxing photo of her oldest son early last year (which she denied being a racial slur) and says cultural appropriation is a non-concern. Via Huffpost : In January 2014, she posted a photo of son Rocco, then 13, with a caption that included the hashtag “#disn-gga.” The backlash was swift and ended in a rare apology from the very woman who has a new song called “Unapologetic B*tch.” Madonna explains that she only apologizes “when I see that there’s a huge fire that’s about to blaze through the center of the universe and I have to put the fire out — especially if it comes to my children.” In the case of the N-word gaffe, Madonna says it was Rocco who told her how to caption the photo. “It was the one time that I listened to my son,” she says. “It was his idea. I was like, ‘What caption do you want me to put on it?’ And I did. I wasn’t thinking.” But Madonna, who has tried on various cultures and looks throughout her career says that she sees no reason to blast artists for cultural appropriation — a term which she doesn’t seem to believe exists. “Oh, they can kiss my a**,” she says of critics who might accuse her of borrowing other cultures’ fixtures. It’s a topic she seems interested to discuss. “I’m not appropriating anything. I’m inspired and I’m referencing other cultures. That is my right as an artist. They said Elvis Presley stole African-American culture. That’s our job as artists, to turn the world upside down and make everyone feel bewildered and have to rethink everything.” Does seeing a white artist try on another culture to boost their own sales make you “rethink everything” though? Madonna actually contradicts this sentiment a bit when she talks about her motivation for being so controversial over the years: “There’s a part of my character that’s on automatic, that just likes to be a provocateur. And to a certain extent, maybe some of the things that I did didn’t really have any thought process behind them necessarily, but they got attention. I wasn’t really thinking of anything specific. I mean, I could even think of shows that I did on the Lower East Side, when I was first starting in punk-rock bands. I can’t say that every creative decision I made was altruistic or came from the deepest part of my soul or with the best intentions or was really well thought-out or anything like that. Sometimes I just did sh*t, you know? Just to, like, throw a firebomb in the room.” Hmmm…what do you think of what the material girl has to say?

Chit-Chatter: 50 Cent Responds To Vivica Fox Calling Him The Love Of Her Life

50 Cent Responds To Vivica Fox Calling Him The Love Of Her Life Last month, veteran Hollyweird actress Viciva Fox was very candid when speaking about her highly-publicized past relationship with G-Unit head honcho 50 Cent , and now 50 is weighing in on her surprising commentary. Speaking openly about their failed coupleship, Vivica told talk show host Meredith Vieira that the Queens rapper was “absolutely the love of my life, and that she “loved him very much and I always will.” Power 105.1 radio host Angie Martinez asked 50 what he thought of her comments during a recent interview and he had this to say in response: “I saw that after. I was like WOW, that she would even say that at this point. It was a lot of confusion. At that point, I was real green. We at 2003, the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ , largest debuting hip-hop album, and I’m sitting there like, ‘huh?’ We went out once before the [MTV VMA] award show. I didn’t know the award show was going to publicly marry us. She knew better than I did what was going to happen, so when the train is taking off without you, you kind of feel really uncomfortable, and you don’t get to that point where you get to feel the way that the public is perceiving it. But women are more advanced than men emotionally.” Hmmmm. Do you think these two would…or should….ever give it another shot? Sounds like Viv would be down but, we’re not so sure about 50….

Tell The Truth: Malik Yoba Speaks On Whether Or Not #Empire Star Jussie Smollett Is Gay IRL

Malik Yoba Confirms Whether Or Not Jussie Smollett Is Gay The instant success of the hit new drama series “ Empire”  can be much attributed to director Lee Daniels not being afraid to touch on a variety of controversial issues affecting the African-American community today, and one of the show’s most compelling story lines is that of Jussie Smollett’s character Jamal. On the show, Jussie’s character Jamal is a multi-talented musician struggling with how to assert his sexuality to the world amid constant criticism of his lifestyle from his father Lucious Lyon, but recent comments Jussie made when asked about his sexuality in real life during an interview has some fans wondering if his art really does imitate his life. When asked whether or not he’s gay in real life during a recent interview on the Sway in The Morning   radio show, Jussie had this to say in response: “I’m not willing to confirm or deny anything. I live my life. I don’t hide anything, I just don’t choose to talk about my personal life.” Hmmmm. However, while Jussie is seemingly opting to keep it in the closet, his fellow “Empire” cast member Malik Yoba gave a much more straight-forwad answer to the burning question of his talented friend’s real-life sexuality. Hit the flip to read what he had to say.

#WhoIsChocolate? Kenya Moore Calls Out ‘Cheating’ Azz Phaedra & Says She ‘Empathizes’ With Apollo

Kenya Moore Says She Empathizes With Apollo Nida Kenya Moore is doing her usually schtick and calling out Phaedra Parks on her BravoTV blog. This time around however, Kenya is empathizing with Apollo who was seen having a pre-prison meltdown because he had to deal with a “stoic, cold-hearted” woman who’s allegedly cheating with a man named Chocolate. SMH… On Apollo’s breakdown: Some people love to criticize me for having an opinion about Phaedra and Apollo or anyone else on the show at this point, as if somehow it is never any of my business. Despite the fact that this is a show where we discuss our issues, thoughts, and observations of one another. We may not agree, but I am entitled to and allowed to provide my input. We may not agree, however, no one and nothing is off limits when issues are put out there for public consumption. Additionally, I’d like to point out that Phaedra and one other laughed, taunted, and tried to demean and humiliate me about Walter and my African Prince. In fact, Phaedra took pride in and reveled in the demise of my relationships, challenges having children, and my relationship with my mother. Some viewers have selective memory when it comes to my history on this show. They would like to conveniently forget when she said, “You can’t turn a whore into a housewife,” and that was PRIOR to Apollo accusing me of propositioning him. With that said, I have empathy for those children and I am a forgiving person. In this case, I’m not judging her actions. I’m stating facts, history, and sharing my thoughts. On shady Phae Phae and having empathy for Apollo: THE PHAEDRA FILES It was very uncomfortable to watch them. No one wants to witness the demise of a marriage when there are children involved. Phaedra appeared unbothered, stoic, cold-hearted, and condescending. The truth is and remains that they each have said malicious and hurtful things to me to cause public humiliation and disrepute.     However, I find myself more empathetic toward Apollo, because the difference between Phaedra and Apollo is that Apollo had the decency to apologize to me for what he had done to me. He showed contrition for his smear campaign and Phaedra has not. She is seemingly proud of what she did to me and has no remorse. Therefore, when I witnessed all the accusations about him threatening to burn the house down, having punched holes in the walls (which we did not see), and her mother stating she doesn’t want to come home and find “everybody dead,” it seemed to me like another one of her smear campaigns, thereby making it easier to defend the cheating allegations coming down the pike. SMH… See what else she had to say about Phaedra and Apollo on the flip.
