In Rihanna’s recent Rolling Stone interview, her mother was asked her opinion on her daughter’s relationship. No matter what anyone else thinks of her daughter, Monica believes in Rihanna’s ability to make the right decisions. “I know her,” said Monica. “I’m very proud of her.” Monica believes that her daughter is headed in the right direction and is very conscience of the decisions she is making. “She has her head on straight. I have to let her make her decisions, and I can only sit back and hope and pray for the best,” said Monica. Monica’s decision to support her daughter throughout her roller coaster relationship with Chris just adds to the constant motherly love she provides to Rihanna. Monica tells Rolling Stone that she is amazed by her daughter’s ability to make the right decision. While it’s always important for mothers to support their children even when it seems that the rest of the world is against them, momma Rih-Rih has to have some reservations about her daughter running back into the arms of her former abuser. Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader Claims She Was Cut For Gaining Weight Is it us or is it getting more and more difficult to focus on the actual reason for the Super Bowl with all this other ridiculousness taking precedence over the actual game? Keeping with the theme of all things non-football that seems to be surrounding Sunday’s big game, a Baltimore Raves cheerleader who was booted from the squad that will be cheering on their Bmore ballers as they take on the 49ers later this weekend says she was kicked to the curb for weighing too much……at a whopping 124 pounds. via L.A. Times Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Courtney Lenz, 23, says she has been barred from the Super Bowl because she weighs too much. Lenz made the comments during an interview on “Access Hollywood” on Wednesday evening. “They said that I had quote, unquote, a rough year,” Lenz said. “I’d been benched earlier in the season for a little bit of a weight gain. We do get weighed every week during the season, and you can’t fluctuate at all. I gained, I think it was 1.8 pounds. I had been consistent and they let me cheer previously and then I gained 1.8 or 1.6 pounds and they said because I had gained weight and they wanted me to be consistent or they wanted me to lose, they benched me for a game and because it was a disciplinary action, that was the reason.” Lenz went on to say that she weighs 124 pounds. “During the season, I was 124. That was consistently, they wanted me to get back down to 121, 120, which is what I was at when I was 18, 19, when I started on the team,” she said. “That was the only disciplinary action I had during the year. I got benched because of my weight, and they said that was the reason. Anybody that had disciplinary action taken during the season was automatically disqualified [from the Super Bowl]. However, there are some girls on the team that were also benched for their weight, and are going. So they just aren’t consistent, it isn’t fair. That’s why I brought this to the attention of the fans because what they’re doing is not right.” Lenz has been a Ravens cheerleader for five years. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens management stands by their reasoning that only 32 cheerleaders total are permitted to attend the Superbowl and Courtney just didn’t make the cut, which was made based on “seniority, performance ability and personal conduct throughout the season.” And yes. Female Pro-Gun Activist Say Mothers Need Assault Weapons To Protect Children Via HuffingtonPost Lawyer and gun rights supporter activist Gayle Trotter gave vivid testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Wednesday hearing on gun violence. Trotter, a senior fellow at the conservative Independent Women’s Forum, argued that a proposed ban on assault weapons would “disarm” vulnerable women and “put them at a severe disadvantage” in fights with multiple criminals. Trotter painted a picture of mothers under assault in their homes, and when Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) questioned the details of one example she offered, she told the lawmaker he didn’t understand the issue. “You are a large man, tall man, a tall man,” Trotter said to laughter from the audience. “You are not a young mother who has a young child with her and … you cannot understand. You are not a woman stuck in her house, not able to defend her children, not able to leave her child, not able to go seek safety, on the phone with 911,” Trotter said. And that woman, “she’s not used to being in a firefight.” Despite arguing for serious firepower, Trotter said later the most important thing about assault weapons for women’s defense is the way the guns look. “An assault weapon in the hands of a young woman defending her babies in her home becomes a defense weapon,” said Trotter, a mother of six. “And the peace of mind she has … knowing she has a scary-looking gun gives her more courage when she’s fighting hardened violent criminals.” Sorry lady, but we just can’t buy that you will be unable to protect your children with a 10-shot pistol as opposed to an AK-47. In a soon-to-be published interview with The New Republic, President Obama is asked whether he has ever fired a gun. He said: ‘Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.’ He added: ‘Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there. And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. ‘And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake.’ The POTUS explains why his use of firearms and why he feels that the gun control issue has 2 valid sides. ‘Part of being able to move this forward,’ President Obama says, ‘is understanding the reality of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas.’… ‘If you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were ten,’ the president said, ‘and that became part of your family’s traditions, you can see why you’d be pretty protective of that.’ Obama referred to the gap between urban and rural views on gun ownership as ‘part of the biggest task over the next several months’ in his fight for public support of his assault weapons ban. ‘And that’ he says, ‘means that advocates of gun control have to do a little more listening than they do sometimes.’ Does Barry’s love of blam-blammin’ his cannon at clay pigeons make him a hypocrite in regards to wanting to enforce tougher gun laws? This lil’ political swirl is the backbone of our great country Barack Obama And Hillary Clinton Sit For Joint Interview With 60 Minutes President Obama praised Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a joint “60 Minutes” interview recorded Friday, calling his outgoing cabinet star one of the greatest chief diplomats in U.S. history. “I just wanted to have a chance to publicly say thank you, because I think Hillary will go down as one of the finest Secretaries of State we’ve had,” Obama said in the rare TV spot — the first time he’s done a joint interview with anyone besides his wife, Michelle, since reaching the White House. The interview — which was excerpted Friday and will be aired in full on Sunday — is a testament to the strength of the Obama-Clinton alliance that was forged following their bitter Democratic primary campaign in 2008. “In politics and in democracy, sometimes you win elections and sometimes you lose elections,” Clinton said, recounting what she’s told people the world over about the “improbable” alliance. “And I worked very hard and lost. And then President Obama asked me to be Secretary of State and I said yes. And why did I say yes? Because we both love our country.” Over the last four years, Clinton has traveled to 112 countries to rebuild an American brand left in tatters after the Iraq War — raising her 2016 White House prospects along the way. The POTUS went out of his way to shower ol’ Hill with compliments, possibly to further bolster her profile with the American people. “I can’t begrudge her wanting to take it easy for a little bit,” Obama said. “But I want the country to appreciate what an extraordinary role she’s played during the course of my administration. Liberty, 34, has filed for divorce from her cheating husband, Rupert, 42, TMZ reports.The paperwork was filed in L.A Superior Court and Liberty is asking for joint custody of both their children, spousal support and attorney fees. Rupert is also looking for joint custody, but the successful director has passed on requesting spousal support. Meanwhile across the pond, Kristen’s bitter boo-thang Robert Pattinson has supposedly kicked her cheating cakes to the curb also…..for the time being. Kristen’s relationship with Robert Pattinson is in trouble, as well. While the English hunk, 26, is in Australia filming his new movie, The Rover, he’s requested a “trial separation” from his girlfriend, 22. Do you believe him ? Manti Te’O Denies Being Gay Via TMZ reports : Manti Te’o just revealed … he’s NOT GAY … despite rumors he used a fake girlfriend to hide his homosexuality. Katie Couric asked Manti flat-out whether he’s gay because it’s the most obvious explanation for the bizarre “Lennay Kekua” hoax — but Manti replied, “No. Far from it. FAR FROM IT.” Manti also revealed Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s full confession, which Ronaiah sent via Twitter, saying, “I completely accept the consequences to the pain I’ve caused and it’s important that you know the entire truth before anyone else.” Just when you though Te’o and his BS story had officially jumped the shark and entered into its 15th minute…. Ronaiah Tuiasosopo had intense feelings for Manti Te’o … feelings that developed over time that he channeled through a female persona, but the emotions — like the scam — were rooted in fantasy. Sources very close to Ronaiah tell TMZ … he struggled for years trying to adapt to the expectations of his culture, his religion and his family. Ronaiah, we’re told, never had a serious physical relationship with anyone and created a female persona online as a way to vent his feelings. We’re told Ronaiah used the female persona in many encounters, but so far there’s no evidence he became intensely emotionally attached to anyone — until Manti. We’ve confirmed when Ronaiah spoke with Manti as “Lennay Kekua” he used his own voice. They were gay for each other and when his spot got blown up he made his boyfriend take the blame. The end.
