Wait a minute, is that her “promise ring” or is Jordin already holdin’ some heavyweight hardware on her ring finger Apparently Jason Derulo is doing something right so far cuz the very talented and incredibly bangin’ Jordin Sparks is talking about getting hitched… to him! Via US Weekly reports : Former American Idol winner Sparks, 22, opened up to Us Weekly on the red carpet at City of Hope Honors Halston’s Ben Malka bash in L.A. Wednesday about her year-long romance with the R&B crooner — and revealed that they’re already talking marriage. “It’s not a conversation that we’re scared about,” Sparks explains. “Before, we both went through tragedies this year — he broke his neck and then [Sparkle costar] Whitney [Houston] passed — so before it might have been a little too crazy.” (While practicing choreography for his tour in January, Derulo missed a landing and fell on his neck, fracturing one of his vertebra. Doctors reportedly told him he “could have” been paralyzed. Sparks’ onscreen mother Houston died on February 11 at the age of 48.) Sparks says the couple’s priorities shifted after they took some time to reflect on the year’s events. “You really see the people you love and you go, I don’t want to lose you,” she explained. “So, it’s a conversation we have, but we’re not in a rush.” Although it might be a little while before wedding bells ring for the pair, Sparks says she’ll be thrilled whenever Derulo, 23, decides to pop the question. “I hope he does!” Sparks exclaimed. “It’s not happening yet, but I hope so!” We don’t know what that Jason Derulo dude did to deserve to be so blessed… He better do right by her! In recent interviews while promoting her upcoming “Family First” reality show along with hubby Daniel Gibson, Keyshia says she’s mended fences with her mom, who is making a go at sobriety, but that while Frankie will appear on some episodes of her new show — Neffe, won’t be on the program because they’re still not on the best of terms. We spoke to Neffe exclusively about how reality tv helped hurt her relationship with her sister, what life has been like since her BET show ended and why she decided to take a break from Reality TV for two years. According to National Enquirer Reports: KHLOE KARDASHIAN scored a slam dunk when she was asked to co-host “The X Factor” – but the prospective gig has left her hoops-playing hubby Lamar Odom feeling like he’s been fouled! According to insiders, Lamar, 32, is incensed that 28-year-old Khloe is going back on her word to dedicate this year to starting a family and supporting his NBA comeback in Los Angeles. “Khloe told Lamar that this was going to be his time – she even agreed to put the third season of their reality show on hold so he could concentrate on getting his confidence back on the basketball court,” said a source. In April, Lamar was listed as “inactive” with the Dallas Mavericks and did not play for the remainder of the season. But he got another shot when he was traded to the L.A. Clippers in June. “Khloe promised that his career would be the priority,” continued the insider. “She also agreed that they would spend more time together in an attempt to have a baby. “They’ve been trying for three years without any luck. And Khloe’s been gung-ho about alternative conception methods – including IVF. “But now she is going to be totally consumed with ‘The X Factor,’ and he’ll be spending a lot of time on the road with the Clippers. So they’ll see less of each other than ever.” The couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Sept. 27, but now friends say there’s so much tension between them that they may not make it another year. In an interview earlier this year, Khloe insisted that women should “put [their] husband first,” and added that “part of being married is knowing when your husband needs your support.” But when Simon Cowell asked Khloe to be co-host on “The X Factor’s” second season with “Extra” hunk Mario Lopez, she seemed quick to put Lamar’s needs on the back burner. She’s been telling pals the offer was simply “too good” to turn down. “It will bring her huge exposure, a large paycheck and make her an even bigger name,” noted the insider. “Lamar is really hurt and angry. He can’t help feeling betrayed by Khloe’s decision to spend more time on her career than on his. It’s like she’s choosing money over love.” Tell that ninja to sit his big depressed azz down somewhere! What if he ends up inactive again? Brad Pitt got way into character for a recent cover feature for Interview Magazine , then he proceeded to get kinda, uh, deep and stuff… discussing how acting is no longer his true passion and he’s become increasingly selective about the roles he takes on. Via NYDaily News Brad Pitt tells the October/November issue of Interview Magazine that he’s getting increasingly finicky about the movie roles he chooses. “I want it to be worthy enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They’re everything,” the 48-year-old star told Guy Ritchie, his director on 2000’s “Snatch.” The family is first . . . I also don’t want to embarrass them.” Angelina Jolie’s fiance also posed for a photo spread for the magazine in which he dresses as a number of different characters, including a hitman and a Rastafarian. Nowadays, Pitt says, “I’d rather be behind the camera,” adding that he relishes working as a producer. That doesn’t mean the star of the upcoming, “Killing Them Softly” doesn’t think he can still hack it on screen. When asked by Richie how he feels about himself as an actor, Pitt responded, “Pretty damn solid. I’d say pretty damn solid.” The roles he has cherrypicked recently – from his Academy Award-nominated performance in “Moneyball” to his critically acclaimed turn in “The Tree of Life” – he picks because he’s interested in the company of the directors behind them. For “Killing Them Softly,” he says, he was seduced by what looks like an engaging crime thriller – but is really an allegory that takes aim at business and politics in the United States. “We’re at a particularly ugly time when we’re at such a divide in America, but that divide is not there because everyone is trying to figure out what’s best for the people,” the Obama supporter told Interview. “It’s there because one side is trying to win out over the other side.” See what we mean? The Dream Named Vice President Of A&R At Def Jam Looks like singer/producer The Dream has found yet another source of income to make it rain all over his 9,876 children and 2 babymamas. He was recently named the Vice President of A&R at Def Jam records. via Billboard Biz According to a statement issued on Oct. 8, The-Dream “will have a comprehensive, broad reaching A&R portfolio.” His responsibilities at the division of Universal Music Group will include overseeing the progress of current and new artist projects, signing new talent to the label and working in a production capacity with artists on the Def Jam roster. Currently, the-Dream is working with Rihanna on her upcoming Def Jam album and with Pusha T on his solo debut for G.O.OD. Music. The label will also devote additional resources to its executive VP’s Radio Killa label imprint. He had this to say about his new gig: “Music means more than just a download, it’s life to the culture and also the people who listen. This is a new exciting yet critical time for music — ‘You Meet Change with Change!’ He must be making somebody happy over at Def Jam even if his babymamas can’t quite say the same.

Lil Wayne Says Supports Drake And Aaliyah Project It turns out that not everyone is ishtting on Drake’s super-stan collabo steez that’s been the talk of the music industry since the YMCMB rapper announced his plans to co-produce a “new” Aaliyah album. Young Money bossman Lil Wayne says he supports his artists’ Aaliyah ambitions and thinks the album will be “awesome.” via NY Daily News : Lil Wayne thinks the late Aaliyah’s music is better than a lot of music out today — and he’s confident that Drake’s plan to produce unreleased Aaliyah songs will be an “awesome collaboration.” Missy Elliott and Timbaland, who produced most of Aaliyah’s music, are not involved, and DMX, who co-starred with Aaliyah in the movie “Romeo Must Die” and recorded a song with her, has been critical of the project. Lil Wayne said he hasn’t heard any negative feedback, and added when he first heard that his Young Money protégé was a part of the project, his first thought was: “Good move.” “Everybody knows what Aaliyah did and done for music and culture, period, and it’s always good to do that, for not only for people like that, just for her fans — you know what I mean?” he said in a recent interview. “Drake’s a very thoughtful person. Everyone knows that. It’s an awesome collaboration. Her music is still awesome. It’s still better than a lot of music out right now,” he said. He also had this to say in regards to staying on top of his game in his own music: “I’ve said everything in every situation in every way, so it’s almost interesting to go into the studio and find new things to talk about and new ways to talk about them and hear it back and say, ‘Wow, you figured it out again,”’ he said. Yeah, ok. We just hope Wayne didn’t also encourage that life-sized Aaliyah tattoo that Drizzy has on his back. SMH. This is for the POTUS with daughters… President Obama Admits He’s Embarassed To Listen To Rap Music Around His Daughters We know that Barry likes don a pair of Beats By Dre and nod his head to some good ol’ fashioned American hip-hop every now and then, but apparently listening to rappers’ harsh language with his baby girls isn’t exactly his cup o’ tea. Via Glamour GLAMOUR: Thinking about Sasha and Malia, when you ran for office last time, they were both little girls, and now Malia is a teenager. What kind of music does she listen to? PRESIDENT OBAMA: You know, we actually don’t constrain what she listens to. We expect her to show some good judgment. She listens to my iPod and has gotten hip to stuff that was made well before she was born like Motown, jazz, classic rock. There’s a whole bunch of stuff that she’s picking up on. We actually share tastes in hip-hop and rap music but we don’t listen to it together, because some of the language in there would embarrass me—at least while I’m listening to it with her. Folks like Jay-Z, Nas, we both like them, but when it comes on and I’m sitting with her and Sasha, then I fast-forward because it would make me blush…. It’s interesting, both Malia and Sasha, they’re very much up on pop culture, but what I’m pleased to see is that they’re interested in making culture too. They both play the piano, and Sasha’s dancing, and Malia’s interested in filmmaking. We gotta commend ol’ Barry O’ for keepin’ it 100. However, its interesting that The President said that he and Michelle don’t regulate their daughters music choices.
