Chris Bosh was spotted yesterday spending some quality time with his daughter Trinity. Isn’t she precious? It’s a big deal that Trinity’s mom let him have her this weekend since he’s actually getting married Saturday! Trinity’s mom Allison Mathis has given Chris hell in the past, even going so far as to call him a deadbeat dad . He even had to take her to court in attempt to be allowed a visit during the NBA Finals. Forest Whitaker was also spotted spending the weekend with his daughters. One year ago on July 8, 2010 shortly after 9:30 pm NBA superstar LeBron James –arguably the most coveted free agent in sports history–changed the landscape of professional basketball with ten words: “this fall I’m gonna take my talents to South Beach”. Just like that LeBron James was no longer a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers , his hometown team, the team that drafted him number one overall in the 2003 NBA draft. Just like that James, whose image was on par with Yankees captain Derek Jeter (the squeaky clean variety), became a pariah. Cleveland fans ripped LeBron jerseys off their person and burned them in disgust much to the nationally televised horror of King James. The name-calling was relentless utilizing Nike slogans (“Quitness”), his government name (“LeBum”), and his own royal self-proclaimed nickname (“Queen James”). While Cleveland fans were the only people who really had a right to be upset at LeBron, Knicks fans (who swore he would choose the team since the venue of his announcement was in Connecticut), who cheered him every time he step foot in the Garden during the 2009-2010 season, piled on the insults as well. Hall of Fame players took subtle shots at LeBron (Michael Jordan) and direct bullets (Charles Barkley) questioning his leadership ability and his place as an all-time great. His close friend Jay-Z reportedly stopped speaking to James miffed that he was not informed that LeBron would not be coming to the New Jersey Nets . The following night LeBron topped himself successfully alienating the fans of the other 24 or so teams who were not in the running for his services by appearing on stage with his new teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in a pep rally/free agent signing celebration where he arrogantly predicted the Heat would win “not 5, not 6, not 7…” NBA championships. Now that the 2010-2011 season has ended in an NBA Finals collapse for LeBron’s Heat, where James himself did nothing in the fourth quarter of all the games, the NBA lockout threatens to shorten the upcoming season and there are rumors that Bosh may be traded to open up more money to bring in better role players. The only question I have is: if LeBron had chosen to stay with Cleveland would he have been vilified the same way for televising his decision? We wonder if Chrissy’s wife knows that she is in a same-sex marriage? Miami Heat star Chris Bosh and his fiancée, Adrienne Williams, will take a romantic honeymoon in Europe, hitting St. Tropez and various glam locations in Italy after their wedding later this week. The couple, who will wed in Miami, will jet-set on a lavish Mediterranean tour. Sources tell us their close friend, designer Domenico Vacca, has agreed to show them the sights on part of the trip. One source tells us the honeymoon includes “chic parties in St. Tropez, romantic dinners in Capri, sunbathing in Positano, sightseeing in Rome and Naples and yachting in Sardinia and Capri.” The big wedding bash is expected to be attended by a host of stars including Bosh’s Miami teammates and team staff, who have all been given permission to attend. But a rep for Bosh said, “Nothing has been decided as yet.” “Given permission”?? Damn, that doesn’t seem like team camaraderie to us, what ever happened to inviting your boys? Sounds like they asked if it was ok to attend and Chrissy said “I’ll think about it”…SMH Source

Nicki Minaj’s cousin was killed yesterday in Brooklyn, New York. The rapper announced the news on Twitter with no details as to how or why the murder happened. However, Radar Online is reporting that Nicholas Telemaque, 27, was shot to death and that they believe it could be a case of ‘mistaken identity.’ His cousin Carol Clarke said, “He was shot in the chest as he walked towards his car close to his home. Nicki is absolutely devastated as are all our family – she was very close to her cousin but now he has gone. She has reached out to Nicholas’ mom Victoria to offer her words of comfort but she is too distraught. Nicholas was a quiet person but he could be the life and soul of the party too – he did not run with gangs or anything like that. “His friends have told us there wasn’t any trouble that night and we believe it could have been a case of mistaken identity but the police are still investigating the case. Executive producer of VH1′s “Basketball Wives,” Shaunie O’Neal comments on the negative portrayal of black women on Reality TV. It seems that Shaunie doesn’t feel “Basketball Wives” portray black women in a negative light. She recently addressed the issue on CNN.com . Shaunie says watching reality television is a guilty pleasure of hers and fun to watch. Even before “Basketball Wives” she had her favorites that she would watch faithfully. She feels the new generation of reality TV has become more about drama than the story line and are not fun to watch. If you ask me, “Basketball Wives” fits into that category of the new generation. The show is suppose to be based on the life of a woman married to a NBA player. We have yet to get the full view of that lifestyle since most of these women are exes or baby mommas. All we have seen are women insult one another and fight over petty issues. Shaunie says, “I believe that if you look closely and beyond the arguing and the fighting, you’ll see a group of women trying to get their lives back on track and figure out who they really are.” This maybe so but its really hard to see that when the drama starts before the intro starts. I Love Shaunie O’Neal and her money making skills but I think she is being a bit delusional here.
