How Many Sexual Partners Is Too Many?

Go here to see the original:

“What’s your number?” If your boyfriend or girlfriend asked this question, would you answer? Let’s not pretend we don’t all know what “number” I’m talking about and it isn’t your phone number (although for some guys out there your number actually may be approaching seven digits.) I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of the new movie “Whats Your Number?” starring Anna Faris and Chris Evans and since a healthy portion of the ways we govern our sexual and dating lives is based on our “number” I thought it would be interesting to find out just how important the number of partners someone has had really is. To give you a basic idea about the film, Anna Faris’s character has slept with 19 people and discovers in a Cosmo Magazine article that a woman’s chances of marrying after 20 partners drops significantly. This sends her on a quest to find all of her ex’s(with the help of an often naked Chris Evans) to ensure that the next man she gives it up to is the man that walks her down the aisle. Now I had the pleasure of speaking with the gorgeous Tika Sumpter (who can also be seen in the up coming Think Like A Man with Kevin Hart) on the red carpet who co-stars in the film playing one of Anna’s close girlfriends and I asked her about the importance of “the number” to women. So, should a woman ever reveal her number? Tika doesn’t think so saying, “Everybody always says they want to be honest I don’t think people really want to be honest with each other, so no. I don’t think everybody can take it, only a certain person can take it.” Personally I would have to agree, even as a man I can admit we may want to know but we may not always be happy with the answer, a sentiment she echoed for me saying, “Most men love being all over the place but if a woman can’t count(them) on her fingers then they don’t want to be with you. You want us to play as if we don’t have a lot of partners.” Well maybe Ms. Sumpter would want to know her boyfriend’s number? “Absolutely not,” she said. “Why would I want to know that? I just want to know that he’s safe and that’s it.” Which seems to be the right way to go about it. No one really wants to know their partner’s number because if it’s too low you probably won’t believe them(especially if it’s a guy) and if it’s too high you’ll probably want out of the relationship, or at the very least you’ll be thinking very heavily about who’s had your partner’s goodies before they got to you. What’s Your Number? is a very funny film, personally one of my favorite Anna Faris movies. It does a good job of expressing just how consumed women can become over something as silly as their number of sexual partners, how it affects their future, and Cosmo Magazine articles. It was a movie I wouldn’t have minded being dragged to by a girlfriend even if just to validate my belief of how women can sometimes over think things and have it played out comedically on screen for me. It’s no secret guys pride themselves on a high number and girls aim to keep it low. Society has pretty much conditioned us to think and act this way so don’t be too hard on yourself for your sexual behavior. So, would you tell your partner your number? Discuss it with them and us at TheUrbanDaily in the comments below now and after you go see What’s Your Number? in theaters this weekend. Anna Faris Bares Funny Fanny in the Nude Movie What’s Your Number? [PICS]

Comedienne Anna Faris is the perfect blend of funny and foxy, and the fact that she’s never been shy about displaying her ass-ets on screen (in Scary Movie (2000), Smiley Face (2007), and The House Bunny (2008)) just makes us love her all the more. After three long years without Faris flesh on the big screen, Anna makes her return to nudity this weekend with What’s Your Number? , opening in theaters tomorrow. Anna was spotted streaking on set with her co-star Chris Evans a few months ago, and our Skin Skout has confirmed that Anna indeed shows her seat meat jumping off a pier naked 1 hour, 4 minutes in. We only see the bare butt from the back, leaving open the possibility of a body double, though considering Anna’s nude history we’re optimistic that that fanny is 100% Faris. See stills from the set of What’s Your Number? after the jump!

Jim Sturgess on One Day and Avoiding the Pitfalls of Hollywood Fame

In Lone Scherfig’s One Day , adapted by David Nicholls from his own novel, young Brits Emma ( Anne Hathaway ) and Dexter ( Jim Sturgess ) meet cute on the last day of college and spend the ’80s and ’90s flitting in and out of each other’s lives. As the pair grows into adulthood, they begin to realize the love that existed between them from the start — even if neither can fully see it. The film — which occurs on a single day of each year throughout the relationship — is not just about romance, however; it’s about maturing, making mistakes and the memories we hold on to from precious moments spent with the ones we love.

From Captain America to Drug-Addicted Lawyer: Watch Chris Evans in the Trailer for Puncture

In this summer’s Captain America , Chris Evans embodies a sickly man who, after being injected with miracle drug, becomes a crime-fighting hero. In this September’s based-on-a-true-story indie Puncture , Chris Evans plays a sickly (in the drug-addicted sense) lawyer who chooses to fight health care crime in the court room. Watch Evans transition away from his Marvel superhero role in the first trailer for Puncture after the jump.

‘Captain America’ Is For The Ladies Too, Stars Say

‘We do a really good job establishing a romance,’ Chris Evans offers as a reason female moviegoers should check out ‘The First Avenger.’ By Kara Warner Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell in “Captain America: The First Avenger” Photo: Paramount Pictures Generally speaking, a superhero or comic book-based movie can almost guarantee that its fervent fanboy following will show up at the box office come opening day. A more elusive audience to capture with these big, flashy blockbusters are female moviegoers. Not that women don’t love superhero movies or read comic books, of course, but they aren’t often a studio’s target audience. When MTV News caught up with the stars of “Captain America: The First Avenger” recently, we asked what their film has to offer the lady moviegoers who might not necessarily be as interested in the action and explosions as others. “I gotta be honest, [compared with] the majority of superhero movies that I’ve seen, I think we do a really good job establishing a romance,” Chris Evans, a.k.a. Cap himself, said. “It’s a budding romance, it’s early. Steve Rogers hasn’t had much experience with women, so the romance they establish is new and fresh, and it doesn’t really have a chance to develop,” he explained. “I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say everything else in the movie aside, the one thing I think they really did right was the romance.” Hayley Atwell, who plays Steve Rogers/ Captain America’s love interest Peggy Carter and is one of the only women in the film, agreed with Evans. “It’s got a strong, sincere love story running through it,” she said. “Captain America has a sincerity. He’s earnest, and there is a vulnerability about him. He’s not your typical testosterone-fueled man.” In addition to all the sincere romantic stuff, Sebastian Stan pointed out that there are some superficial reasons for ladies to like the film as well. “I feel like you can drive a car on Chris’ chest, so maybe that?” he said, speaking to Evans’ muscle-bound physique, post-superserum. “That might help.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Captain America: The First Avenger.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . ‘Glee’ Graduates Already Have After-School Plans

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer all are working on films. By Terri Schwartz Lea Michele Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Life is changing for the cast of “Glee,” both onscreen and off. Thursday’s Emmy nominations were kind to the cast, but creator Ryan Murphy’s announcement Wednesday that leads Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will exit the show after the third season came as a bit of a shock to the actors involved. Apparently, neither Colfer nor Monteith was aware that their time with Fox’s hit musical show would be ending so soon, though they did know their characters would be written off at some point to coincide with their impending high school graduations. “I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year,” Colfer told “Access Hollywood” . “I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever. I don’t necessarily want to leave so soon, but it’s fine. It’s what it is, and all things come to an end.” Fortunately, things are on an upswing for Colfer. He earned his second Emmy nomination for the show Thursday, and after winning the Golden Globe earlier this year for his performance, there’s a good chance he’ll be taking Emmy gold home come September 18. Then, Friday morning (July 15), there was the announcement that “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks will be joining Colfer in his upcoming film project “Struck by Lightning,” which he both wrote and stars in. Sarah Hyland of “Modern Family” and “My Best Friend’s Wedding” actor Dermot Mulroney jumped onboard as well. Colfer also can look forward to the release of “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie,” coming August 12. The trailer for the film debuted online Thursday. The three exiting “Glee” stars all seem to be remaining optimistic about their upcoming departure. “We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good! It’s going to make Season 3 amazing!!!” Michele tweeted after the announcement hit the web. Both she and Monteith also have upcoming film projects. Michele has a role in Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com “New Year’s Eve,” filming now, and Monteith has the upcoming “Sisters & Brothers” in addition to his recently released “Monte Carlo.” Then there’s also the rumor, courtesy of RumorFix.com , that Michele and Colfer will be receiving their own spin-off show. Were you surprised by the “Glee” announcement? Sound off below!
