Frightened residents called the police after the tiger was seen roaming through area near Interstate 75 and Jodeco Road in the metro Atlanta county. Joel Osteen Blasted For Not Opening Church Doors To Flood Victims Folks all over the nation are pretty displeased with Houston Megachurch pastor and motivational Christian speaker Joel Osteen . Even though Houston is the home base for his worldwide, multi-million dollar ministry …somehow, his Sanctuary’s doors aren’t open to those in need during record flooding in his city. The location for Osteen’s Lakewood Church was once upon a time the Compaq Center sports arena — home of the Houston Rockets — and can comfortably seat nearly 17,000 people. But, now that thousands in the city are in distress, displaced, and in need of a safe dry spot to go…the church’s doors are locked. Apparently, Osteen and crew report to TMZ that the reason the church isn’t open for those in need is due to flooding of the roads in the area. But let social media tell it… SMH! Park officials have confirmed that the six different flags that had previously flown over the park, including the Confederate States of America flag, will be replaced by six American flags. Dick Gregory passed away Saturday at 84 according to family members who shared the news on his official Facebook. “It is with enormous sadness that the Gregory family confirms that their father, comedic legend and civil rights activist Mr. Dick Gregory departed this earth tonight in Washington, DC,” his son Christian Gregory said in the post . “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and love and respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time. More details will be released over the next few days.” According to The Associated Press, Gregory died from a bacterial infection after several hospital visits. No word yet on funeral arrangements for this icon, but we’ll keep you posted as more details become available. Rest in heaven Dick Gregory.
Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that we learned Audrey and Jeremy Roloff were expecting their first child ? How are we supposed to relish reality star pregnancies when they just move so darn fast?! In reality, we’ve known about Audrey’s pregnancy for a good while now, but still, with all the things this family has been up to lately, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Molly had her wedding earlier this month, and Jacob has been working his way back into the family spotlight. And that’s not even touching on the birth of the insanely precious Jackson … But now it looks like things are settling down a bit, and with Audrey’s due date just days away — it’s September 1st!!! — all Roloff-loving eyes are on her. So thank goodness she gave this in-depth interview all about the impending birth of her baby, right?! About the little angel’s upcoming arrival, she says “I’d say we’re very excited, but there are definitely some nerves that come along with it!” “At this point, we’re just trying to relax and bring some calm back into our life.” She says that Jeremy “has the house almost wrapped up,” so “now we’re looking forward to spending these last few days just the two of us.” Speaking of Jeremy, Audrey explains that “One of the best things about big milestones in life is being able to do them alongside your spouse.” “Jeremy has been so patient with me during this process. I really couldn’t imagine doing it without him.” To give an example of the kind of doting soon-to-be father he’s been, she says “I have full confidence that when I need something, or even just want a scoop of ice cream, that he’ll be off the couch and getting it before I finish my sentence.” “I feel loved and am thankful for a husband like Jeremy.” But that adorable little story doesn’t mean she’s been spending her time asking her husband for ice cream! She says that she hasn’t really had any cravings during her pregnancy, except that “I craved sour candy in the beginning and have consistently craved sparking drinks.” Still, it’s nice to know that Jeremy is there for her if she does decide she needs anything! He’s not the only one, either — don’t forget, for a while there, she and her sister-in-law, Tori, were pregnant at the same time. “It’s been so fun being able to experience this season of life alongside Tori,” she says. “She and Zach are always so willing to answer any question we may have, or have us over to hang with Jackson and talk.” Sharing this time together has been “great,” she says, “and our sister bond is definitely strengthening through this process.” As close as they are, though, of course they won’t be in the delivery room when Audrey has the baby. “At this point,” she reveals, “I’m planning on it only being our midwife, Jeremy and our doula. We will have family and friends outside anxiously waiting, I’m sure!” She also says that “We’ve got one name in mind that we really like, but haven’t fully committed on it yet!” “We’ll probably name her once we see her beautiful face!” We can’t wait to see her beautiful face either, and we’re sure they’ll pick a beautiful name to match! Dick Gregory, a legendary comic who was also well known for his work as a civil rights activist, died on Saturday in Washington D.C. He was 84 years old. Gregory had recently rescheduled an event in Atlanta due to a hospitalization, although the cause of his illness and his subsequent passing is unknown at this time. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and love, and respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time,” wrote son Christian Gregory on social media, adding: “More details will be released over the next few days.” While serving as a member of the military in the 1950s, Gregory started his career as a stand-up comedian. He didn’t specialize in harmless, observational humor, however. Quite the opposite. Gregory satirized segregation and racial injustice in his acts; he was arrested several times in the 1960s for joining civil rights rallies. In 1961, he rose to prominence as the first black performer to perform at a white club after Hugh Hefner gave him a regular gig at the Playboy Club in Chicago. He earned rave reviews at the time and eventually signed a three-year contract to serve as a headliner at the establishment. Always with an eye on societal issues greater than his own career, Gregory was once invited to perform on The Tonight Show in the days of Jack Paar… … refused unless he was able to have a seat on the couch. “He taught us how to laugh,” wrote Reverend Jesse Jackson upon learning of Gregory’s passing. “He taught us how to fight.He taught us how to live. “Dick Gregory was committed to justice.I miss him already. #RIP.” A motivational speaker later in life, Gregory wrote several books, including “Murder in Memphis,” which analyzed the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Also a writer – particularly respected for the documentary “Joe Louis: America’s Hero… Betrayed” – Gregory was ranked by Comedy Central as the 82nd best stand-up comic in history. “Dick Gregory lived an amazing, revolutionary life. Amy Schumer likes to joke about sex. But there’s nothing funny about the following piece of news regarding her sex life: The comedian has split from long-time boyfriend Ben Hanisch. A rep for the actress confirmed the break-up to People Magazine, saying in a very simply statement: “Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends.” Schumer and the Chicago furniture maker had been an item for about a year-and-a-half, although they hadn’t made any public appearances together since January. Moreover, Schumer hasn’t shared a photo of Hanisch on her Instagram page for several weeks. Hanisch did not accompany Schumer to the premiere of her latest comedy, Snatched, either. So an observant fan of the star’s may have seen this split coming. It’s unclear just when Schumer and her very handsome ex-lover went their separate ways, but the actress told Howard Stern in May 3 interview that they were still getting it on. She was even asked about the possibility of marriage and responded as follows: “We are talking about today. I love the idea of committing to someone and making that choice and I want to have a family but right now, we are not in talks.” Schumer acknowledged at the time that her busy schedule made it difficult to spend a ton of time together as a couple, but tried to spin that situation in a positive way. “It’s good to have a lot of space,” she told the radio host just two weeks ago. The comedian and Hanisch met on a dating app around November 2015. They went public with their relationship in January of the following year when Schumer called Hanisch her “man” after a visit to the White House. “[He] is the first guy who’s really been my boyfriend,” Schumer went on to tell Marie Claire in August. She was clearly excited about the relationship for a long time, often discussing it in public and even using the word “love” very often while doing so. “Things were just really easy with him,” Schumer told People Magazine last summer, adding: “There were no games, no waiting three days.
