After recently teasing fans with the implication that she’s banging her BFF , Kathryn Dennis is in a new, actual relationship. No, she’s not back with that creep Thomas Ravenel. She won’t even be half Thomas’ age until August of 2022. Hunter sounds more age-appropriate. And also, from what we know about him, like less of a colossal douche. So Hunter definitely seems like an upgrade. Before you go pointing out that Kathryn hooked up with her co-star, Shep Rose, we’re not shading him. Yes, Shep is handsome, either despite or because of the inexplicable Owen Wilson vibes that he radiates. But they were just hooking up. Neither of them ever said that they were dating. Good for Kathryn for living her best life, but it’s probably a smart move for her to not date a co-star at this time. They all know her and they all know her ex. It could get weird. Right now, Kathryn’s very young children, Kensie and Saint, are the center of her entire world. She has 50/50 custody with her baby daddy, Thomas, but is currently trying to get sole custody. Her timing is about right, as Thomas is expected to face trial on rape charges. If Kathryn is announcing that she’s dating Hunter, it may mean that she’s comfortable having him around her kids. There’s a lot to envy about the life of Kate Middleton She lives the pampered life of an A-list celebrity, but unlike the Kim Kardashians of the world, Kate isn’t forced to constantly chase clout by posting selfies or living her life out on camera. But while Kate has the option of hiding behind palace walls, she occasionally steps down from her ivory tower to engage with the peasants. And it seems her charmed life might be much more relatable than most of her loyal subjects might think. After all, Kate may have the support of nanny Maria Burallo, but she’s still a mother of three, which is a taxing job under any circumstances. Yes, Kate welcomed her third child , and she opened up about life as a mom while visiting the UK charity Family Action this week. “It’s so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days, but after the age of 1 it falls away,” she told a small crowd during her visit. “After that, there isn’t a huge amount — lots of books to read.” No doubt many mothers can relate to the situation that Kate is describing. But the Duchess of Cambridge may have overplayed her hand when she stated that she’s in the same boat with every other mum. “Everybody experiences the same struggle,” Kate told the crowd. Yeah, not quite, Kate … That whole full-time live-in nanny thing? Yeah, most parents don’t receive that kind of support in their “struggle.” But despite some major lifestyle differences, it seems most of the young mothers on hand identified with Kate and appreciated her comments. “When she came in it felt like just another friend,” a woman named Dawn told People magazine. “She was really nice, she was easy to talk to and interacted with us all. And she listened. And when we got emotional she was a bit . . . you know! Meghan Markle is very much used to criticism these days. She’s receiving it from exiled staffers. From estranged family members. And now, evidently, from random strangers in Great Britain. On Wednesday, the polarizing Duchess of Sussex was was meeting staff, volunteers and beneficiaries at her new patronage, the animal charity Mayhew, when some stupid lady pointed at her baby bump. Yes, her baby bump. By definition, of course, this means Markle has a baby growing inside of her womb and, therefore, isn’t overweight. She’s just, you know, growing a human being inside of her. But the former USA Network actress simply can’t catch a break these days. Along those lines, multiple outlets have reported that a woman standing near Markle pointed at her stomach yesterday and yelled: Lovely lady, you are! May the good lord always bless you…And you’re a fat lady. Based on those words, it sounds like maybe, somehow, this was meant as a compliment. Which is how Markle responded to it at least, simply replying to the lady: I’ll take it! Heck, it may be the nicest thing anyone has said about the Royal Beauty in ages. Earlier this month, another underling allegedly resigned , marking the approximately 79th time some staffer has chosen to walk away from Kensington Palace rather than work under Markle. Prior to that, Meghan’s awful half-sister said some more cruel stuff . Through it all, however, Markle has kept her head up in public and approached every situation with a smile on her face. Just prior to this quasi confrontation with the sort of mean woman, in fact, Markle had a very nice exchange with a different lady in which she revealed her due date . Markle and Prince Harry will be welcoming their first child (EVER!) in late April or maybe early May. We can also confirm that they do not plan on finding out the gender prior to birth. On Monday night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules , there was a good deal of talk about James Kennedy’s drinking problem . And while it certainly seems as though James has some serious issues with the sauce, it’s important to bear two things in mind: 1. As Brittany Cartwright so aptly observed, dude is a colossal douche even when he’s stone sober, and 2. He’s certainly not the only former SUR staffer who gets a little ornery when he’s had a few too many. For example, at this point, Stassi Schroeder’s tendency to get hammered and flip the f-ck out on her loved ones at her birthday parties is such an established pattern that it’s become a running joke among the cast. Of course, it’s the sort of thing that’s funny when you look back on it a year later, but painful for everyone involved (including Stassi) in the direct aftermath. This week’s installment of Vanderpump was bookended by Stassi meltdowns, but to be fair, she may have been at least partially sober and not totally at fault for the second one. The episode started off with the fallout from Stassi’s weird Game of Thrones /Christmas-themed 30th birthday bash — which ended with her going off on boyfriend Beau Clark , who decided to party a while longer rather than joining Stassi in bed at her command. “I’m really sorry,” a sobbing Schroeder told Clark the day after her boozed-up tirade. “It was like you d*ck punched my heart,” Clark responded. “I don’t want to do that with you. I don’t want to be mean,” said Stassi, clearly devastated by her own behavior. “I don’t know. I’m so f–king concerned that you’re going to leave me because of the way that I act … I’m a d**k. I’m an erect d**k,” she cried. Calling yourself a limp d-ck would probably be a worse self-burn, but we see Stassi’s point. “I’m not going to find something like him again I just have to be really careful not to screw it up,” she later said in a confessional segment. Stassi was able to patch things up with Beau, much to the delight of her mother … who proceeded to shine a big bright spotlight on Stassi’s psychological issues by shaming her daughter for nearly driving Beau away. “I don’t want you to be yourself and mess it up. I’m hoping he’s a strong enough guy to go the distance,” Dayna complained after loudly griping that Stassi “hasn’t frozen her eggs yet.” The situation later led to Stassi storming away from a group dinner and confessing that she fears ending up like her hard-partying mom. “Sometimes I get this victim mentality and freak out like my mom. And I’m scared that one day that’s going to be me,” she wept. Booze plays a big role in just about every non-competitive reality show, but it’s possible that no show on TV has such a problematic relationship with the sauce as Vanderpump . It’s not just that the SUR staff knocks back more hard stuff than the cast of Mad Men , it’s the fact that several of them have basically begged for help, and their pleas consistently fall on deaf ears. The severity of the situation is not lost on the entire cast, as Lala Kent recently revealed that she’s now sober after “losing [herself]” in the LA club scene. As terrible as James is, the rest of the cast should have at least attempted an intervention before booting him out of the group. Last night’s episode featured a scene in which Stassi broke plates while screaming about her drinking problem in a rage room. When your inability to handle your booze pisses you off as much as sky-high rents in LA, it might be time for your friends to step in.
