Now it seems Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are onboard to reprise their cameos from the first film, with bigger parts this time around. (Expanded Expendables !) So let’s just take a minute and regroup: Who isn’t onboard or under consideration to join the beefy action sequel?

Jim Carrey Was Totally Kidding About That Creepy Emma Stone Video; Or Not

The Internet collectively recoiled when the video of Jim Carrey professing his undying love for Emma Stone was released by the Ace Ventura star, but don’t worry — it was all a joke! Except for the joke part. “Yes, my msg to Emma Stone was a comedy routine,” Carrey wrote on Twitter , “and the funniest part is that everything i said is tru.” Lolz? He continued: “People often ask me if i’m being funny or serious. The answer is ‘YES.’ ?;^]” Glad that’s cleared up. > :’P* [ @JimCarrey ]

French Poster for What’s Your Number? Gets Right to the Point

In What’s Your Number? , Anna Faris stars as a woman who revisits her past sexual conquests in the hopes of finding her real soulmate. She seemingly won’t have much luck with her prior lays, if only because Chris Evans plays her probable future sexual conquest/soulmate — but, hey, it’s the thought that counts. That thought is at the center of the French poster for What’s Your Number? , which features the film’s very-direct French title change. Click through for a look and a chuckle.

Nick Ashford, Motown Songwriter, Passes Away

Nick Ashford, who helped establish a gold standard for R&B duets with wife Valerie Simpson, died Monday in New York of throat cancer. He was 69. Ashford & Simpson penned and produced many ’60s hits for Motown’s Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, including “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” “You’re All I Need to Get By,” “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” and “Your Precious Love” were also among the twosome’s creations. Nick Ashford also wrote hits for Chuck Jackson, The Shirelles, Maxine Brown, the Fifth Dimension and numerous other artists of the era. Ray Charles’ 1966 No. 1 R&B hit “Let’s Go Get Stoned” was his breakthrough record. They would later write and produce Diana Ross’ biggest solo hits, including her signature “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand).” They also wrote Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman,” which was later recorded by Whitney Houston. Basically, they were mega-hitmakers. Ashford’s death comes amid news that another famous songwriter, Jerry Leiber , passed away yesterday as well. Both will be missed. [Photo: WENN.com]

My name is Katherine Zapata and I met Justin Bieber on July 14th…

My name is Katherine Zapata and I met Justin Bieber on July 14th 2010 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon. I won meet and greets through  bieberfever.com . Meeting Justin was the BEST thing that could ever happen to me. He’s so sweet, hot, and down to earth. I had VIP for that show so before I met him, I went to his soundcheck and then the pre party! The soundcheck was amazing! When he came out everyone screamed and was freaking out, he said hi to everyone, told us it was Q&A time and asked who wants to ask the first question. I was like, “What’s your favorite candy?” and a girl behind me was screamed “Sour Patch Kids right?”. He was like “Hahaha no, I got tired of those, hmm my favorite candy is Air Heads” . My friend was like, “Juuustinnnn, will you wear this?” and he put his hand up so she threw a rubber bracelet that said “PEACE” at him and it landed on his feet so he picked it up and put it on. He said “Thank you” and smiled! Then some person asked him who he liked better, Beyonce or Chuck Norris and he said Beyonce. My friend said, “CAN YOU DO THE SINGLE LADIES DANCE!!” and so he put his hands up in the air and did a little dance and said “There you go!” Then right as he walks in front of us, I said, “You should do your SEXY HAIR MOVE” and he said, “SEXY HAIR MOVE?! I don’t have a SEXY HAIR MOVE”. He laughed and said, “DAN HAS A SEXY HAIR MOVE” So Dan Kanter did a hair flip then Justin said “Alright” and did a SEXY HAIR FLIP and said, “There, just for you!” I absolutely FREKED OUT. Then towards the end of the soundcheck, he asked everyone if they knew the Dan Kanter Song and people were like “What’s that?” Literally no one said they knew it and I happened to know it because days before I saw a video on Youtube. I said, “MEEEE!!!!” and he was was like,”You do?” and I said “YESSS!” and he said “Alright, I’m gonna need you to help me out okay?” Justin grabbed his mic and came to sit right infront of me! He said “Ready?” and I was still in shock! He pointed his mic to me and the music started playing so I started singing. Click here to watch me singing the Dan Kanter song with Justin!   Later came the meet and greet and I was second in line! There was a black curtain, and behind that curtain JUSTIN was there! As soon as the bodyguard (not Kenny Hamilton, a Rose Garden Arena bodyguard) opened the curtain and said your turn! I looked at my friends with an extremely happy look on my face and said AHHH WE’RE GOING TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER!” I was the first one to walk in and Justin was watching us come towards him. He gave me a hug and said, “Thanks for singing with me at soundcheck!”  I couldn’t believe he had just said that & he remembered what I looked like. I said, “Thank YOU” I told him that he was really hot and that I love him so much. He smiled and said, “Thanks! I love you too!” Then Kenny Hamilton was like, “picture time” and so I stood right next to Bieber and he said, “Your bag is in the way” and WINKED! I looked at my bag and noticed he wanted to put his hand around my waist not my shoulder! I looked at him and he had a big smile on his face and then he LEANED HIS FACE INTO MINE! When my friends and I were about to walk out, Justin came up to me and asked, “What row are you in?” and I said “3rd row”. He said “Okay, I’m going to look for you” and I said “Okay sounds good!” My friends and I were walking out and Justin was like “Nice meeting you!” and I turned around and said “Nice meeting you too! and we smiled at each other. At the pre party I met Sean Kingston, Jessica Jarrell, Dan Kanter, etc. After the party, my friends and I went to our seats because the show was about to start! 7/14/10 was the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! Also my picture with Justin Bieber was in Popstar magazine! Read the original post: My name is Katherine Zapata and I met Justin Bieber on July 14th…

And from the looks of it, the fans that came out to the Verizon Wireless Music Center were giving the artists as much energy as they were receiving. “INDIANAPOLIS ravin it up in the cornfields, awesome…& thank you!” tweeted Kaskade. “indiana i love u…. thanks for the fun first show for @identityfest my first time with my live show!” Steve Aoki wrote. Producer Rusko tweeted : “Indiana was crazee fun. Tons of bouncing and singing along as the sun went down. Maximum energy!!” And Chuckie sent a message to MTV News saying, “Indiana was epic! Was the perfect start to this crazy ride!! Lesss goooo!” N.E.R.D.’s Chad Hugo, Afrojack, Nervo, Avicii, Skrillex, Pete Tong, Nero and Britney’s Femme Fatale Tour openers Jessie and the Boy Toys are also among the featured artists that will be performing at dates on the tour. In addition to getting big names in the EDM world out to previously underserved markets, the festival also offers the prospect of some of the scene’s stars using the tour as a chance to collaborate with each other. Clearly, Steve Aoki already has big plans for the road. “On the bus, I’m outfitting it with my own studio,” he recently told MTV News. “I’m rigging my monitors. So it’s gonna be a productive month.” And the other creative minds on this tour all seem to be in tune. “Something tells me the Steve Aoki bus is gonna be a fun bus to be on!” Liv Nervo told MTV News. “And the Manufactured Superstars! We’ll definitely be crashing their buses.” “I’m really looking forward to hanging out with these guys,” Kaskade said. “Everyone from Skrillex to Rusko to Avicii. I’ve never really hung out with Avicii. “I mean we got some downtime,” Kaskade continued. “It’ll be like, knock knock. ‘Hey Avicii, I got this melody. Let’s work something out.’ So hopefully some cool stuff will come of it.” The Identity Festival moves onto the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, on Friday (August 12). Jay-Z And Kanye West’s ‘Otis’ Maybach Work: How Much Did It Cost?

Kanye West and Jay-Z could have spent up to $150,000 trashing the $350,000 car for the video. By Gil Kaufman Photo: Roc-A-Fella How much swag do Kanye West and Jay-Z have? Enough to trash a $350,000 Maybach in their “Otis” video and laugh about it. The conspicuous-consumption-loving clip is a lesson in the dynamics of hip-hop power, with two of the biggest names in the game flexing their muscle by taking one of the world’s most expensive luxury cars and essentially turning it into a torn-up plaything that’s probably not even street legal, according to Myles Kovacs, president and co-founder of DUB magazine . “It’s a great gimmick and it looks ‘Mad Max’-ish. … They’re clearly rich enough that they can take something most people could never dream of owning and tear it up,” Kovacs said of the dismantling of the car that takes place in the clip. Experts dissected the meaning of “Otis” and the Maybach for us. What starts out as a mint vehicle is quickly stripped down in the Spike Jonze-directed clip. With the glass roof tossed to the side, the doors ripped off and welded to the back, the front grill removed and stuck on the tail end and fender walls created out of sheet metal, Kovacs said the actual work done on the car was minimal, but the damage was maximum. “If it’s just for show or to make a movie car, it’s pretty simple,” he said. “You’re just trashing the car, bolting on fake bumpers, pushing the wheels out, removing doors, cutting the roof off and adding flame throwers on the exhaust. But these guys are crazy to spend money to ruin a car like that.” The Maybach is on display at the Watch the Throne pop-up store, and MTV News was on the scene. While ‘Ye and Jigga are clearly having a blast driving the chopped and screwed ‘Bach in “Otis,” Kovacs said at this point the frame of the car is probably buckling and it’s folding up “like a taco,” because it appears that the center roof supports have been taken out. He originally guessed that a job like this might cost $150,000 and take two to three weeks if you were aiming to have the car be street-legal and reinforce the frame. Making it just safe enough for the video would set you back $100,000 or so. But if all they did was cut the doors and roof out and do some welding here and there, the right tech could do that in a week. Add another for painting and the right shop could get the job done for $20,000 or so. “The thing is, the value of that car is nothing now, you couldn’t drive it on the street,” he said. “It would start malfunctioning big time.” That’s something to consider for anyone thinking about taking the car off their hands. The last frame of the video declares, “The vehicle used in this video will be offered up for auction. Proceeds will be donated towards the East African drought disaster.” Their heart is in the right place, even if their grill isn’t.
