I’m Melissa, I’m 17 and my dream came true on…

I’m Melissa, I’m 17 and my dream came true on November 20th, 2012. My experience began on June 2nd when the Believe Tour tickets went on sale. I was there, like all of you, as soon as they went on sale trying to buy tickets. Unfortunately, I was out of luck. I was so heartbroken. I had to go to my softball game right after that and I cried the whole way there. I was broken at the fact that I wasn’t going to see Justin when he came to my city. June 4th comes around and that night they were giving away tickets to his concert on 96.1 Kiss. I knew I had to enter, it was my last resort. At 5:45, I got my phone ready and my mom’s as well. Before I knew it, my mom’s phone was ringing and I was talking to the radio guy, I had been the 9th caller! After I got off the phone with him, I hugged my mom as tight as I could as she said, “You’re going to see Justin Bieber!!” November rolls around and I realize that it’s time to buckle down and focus on trying to meet Justin. After talking to some beliebers on Twitter, I realized that I could still enter the meet & greet contest on Bieberfever for my show. I didn’t have a membership yet so I joined right away! You had to send in a picture of your Bieber merchandise for the contest. The night came where I found out if I won or not. I got home from school and did nothing productive whatsoever because I could not focus on anything but the contest so  I kept refreshing my email every 10 minutes. I refreshed my email at 5:29 pm and there the email was in my inbox. I open it up and read the first two words “Congratulations, Melissa!” I think at that moment I stopped breathing. The only person that was home that night was my brother so I ran as fast as I could upstairs to his room, jumped on him, balled my eyes out and said, “I’m meeting Justin Bieber.” The next day, concert day, rolls around and it was a long school day to say the least. My friend and I left as soon as we got home. We went to the box office, picked up our wristbands and headed to the area where we waited. Then we were sent up the escalator to get in line. I saw Kenny while I was in line and I yelled “Hi Kenny!” but he wasn’t paying attention, awkward lol . We got to the front of the line, my friend & I and two little girls plus their moms, except the moms told us they didn’t want in the picture. It didn’t seem like I was in line to meet Justin; it hadn’t clicked for me yet. We were sent up to the curtain and then told to go in. I was the first to walk in and as I turned that corner, I saw him and he didn’t seem real at first. Then I saw him move and it clicked. My mind totally blanked. All that came out of me was “Hi” & he responded with an unforgettable “Hi love.” His voice though, it was so deep and sexy. But anyways, he’s flawless. Angelic. Perfect. I immediately went to the side of him, put my arm around him, he put his arm around me and we took the picture. To be honest, I don’t even remember taking a picture or even smiling! We then left the curtain and I didn’t know what to say, utterly speechless. I could not believe, after 3 years, that my dream had just come true. It was so surreal. Tears just streamed down my face and I hugged my friend with every bit of happiness in me . We went down the escalator and into the line to buy our shirts. I called my mom, my brother, my friends. I was on cloud 9 for the rest of the night. The concert was so so amazing like always. We didn’t have the best seats, but that didn’t matter to me. Honestly, there’s not a bad seat at a Justin Bieber concert. ‘Fall’ & ‘Be Alright’ were completely flawless. ‘One Time/Eenie Meenie’ brought back so many memories. ‘Boyfriend’ was perfect. And, well, ‘Baby’ couldn’t have ended the concert any better. I am SO blessed & thankful for this whole experience. I still don’t know how I got so lucky to win both of these contests. I just want to tell whoever is reading this: “Do not give up on your dreams. Do not. I was tempted so so many times to give up on meeting Justin. It seems like the easy way out. But if you work for it and try your hardest to pursue your dream, it’ll pay off. You’ll get closer and closer to it. It may even come true one day, like mine did.” Every belieber deserves to experience what I did on November 20th; to meet that boy you’ve seen on TV, that boy you’ve watched hundreds of YouTube videos of, that boy that is your idol, your everything….So never say never. The Black List Names 2012 ‘Best Un-Produced Screenplays’

Just in time for Christmas, the annual Black List of promising unproduced scripts has been released this morning. While this year’s list is about what you’d expect for a collection of scripts voted on by nearly 300 industry execs nmdash; a high number of ‘based on true events’ abound nmdash; there are a few with rather promising premises. For example, Americatown , by Ben Pool, is a crime thriller set in a near-future American expatriate enclave within the city of Hong Kong. Timely! Matt Aldrich’s The Ballad Of Pablo Escobar also deserves a mention for the craziest idea on the list, which is casting the notorious druglord as the protagonist in a battle to protect his family against rival cartels and his government. The list also includes a script by Zach Whedon (brother of Joss), and one by A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot writer Eric Heisserer, among many others. The full list, plus synopses, is available here . While you read, try to find out for yourself which of these titles will almost certainly die during production. My guess is that Cherries will get a far less provocative name, probably something like Father’s Day . The top ten scripts based on the number of votes are: #10 – 28 mentions. DEVILS AT PLAY by James DiLapo #8 – 29 mentions. ME & EARL & THE DYING GIRL by Jesse Andrews  #8 – 29 mentions. GLIMMER by Carter Blanchard #7 – 31 mentions. I’ve literally been waiting to write this forever and I…

I’ve literally been waiting to write this forever and I finally get too! My name is Paige and my Bieber Experience started November 19, 2012 at 5:42 when I found out I won two meet & greets from BieberFever to Justin’s show in Pittsburgh. That next day at school my friend Brittany and I left and drove 3 hours up to Pittsburgh. As soon as we got there we got our tickets, got in line and then they told us to get into groups of 6 or more. This was all of our first time meeting Justin so no one knew what to expect. Finally our turn came and we walked in – immediately I saw his beautiful face and couldn’t believe how perfect he really is. I walked up to him, hugged him then stood for the photo. He yelled “Enjoy the concert girls!” then we had to leave. I literally stood there hysterically crying for 5 minutes. Then we went to the concert (which was so amazing) and finally had to go home. I was so sad it was all over! Little did I know that my parents surprised me & my sister with tickets and meet & greets in New York City at Madison Square Garden on November 28 . We have very close family friends who live up there so we flew up on November 27. That whole next day we did nothing but get ready then finally drove into the city. We got to Madison Square Garden and waited in line. We knew we wanted to be last in line so we waited for about 1-2 hours. Finally we came up to Kenny who opened the curtain and all I remember is my friend Gabriele saying, “J-J-JU-JUSTIN!” He was like, “Hi sweetie, how are you?” and she replied with, “I LOVE YOU!” I walked in, took the photo then gave him a bracelet I made for him that said ‘Avalanna.’ He said, “Thank you, I love it” then hugged me. We stood outside the arena crying forever and eventually pulled ourselves together for the concert. Our moms hunted down Dan Kanter who was so sweet and he gave us all guitar picks! The arena was HUGE and the concert was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Those were easily the best nights of my life and I got to share it with my best friends and my favorite person of all, Justin. -@paige_keller6  Visit link: I’ve literally been waiting to write this forever and I…

Epitome Of A Bad Mother…And Father: Half Siblings Arrested Smoking Meth In The Car With Their Baby!!!

These freakazoid junkies have the same Mom… and when cops rolled up on them parked and getting high, they got popped for incest too. According to The Daily Mail , the half siblings had their baby in a broke down car; the one-year-old was only wearing a t-shirt and a diaper even though it was 38 degrees outside: A half brother and sister in an incestuous relationship were arrested on Friday after police found them smoking meth in a car with their one-year-old baby. Danielle Lacey, 22, and Brandon Lesli, 35, from Lake Stevens, Seattle were charged with endangerment with a controlled substance, criminal mistreatment and incest. They share the same mother. Police were called after witnesses spotted Lacey and Leslie sitting in the car with the baby and the windows rolled up. They told a local resident who they knew they were smoking meth. Daniel Price told Fox13: ‘They said they were out of gas and asked if they could borrow $10. I knew something was going on so I went inside and they told me they were smoking meth with the baby in the car. ‘If they want to go out and do that themselves, hopefully they don’t hurt anyone, but when you have a one-year-old involved that’s a lot different.’ When police arrived, Lacey was holding the baby in the front passenger seat. It was 38 degrees and the baby was only wearing a t-shirt and diaper. There was no blanket to keep him warm. Because the car was out of gas, the heater was not on. The police report said Lacey appeared to be high on methamphetamine because she exhibited sudden, jerky movements and the inability to concentrate. When she was interviewed by police, the 22-year-old admitted she had smoked meth with her baby present several times before and also with her other children, aged five and six. She said she has been using the drug on and off for the last six years. The baby has been handed over to Child Protective Services, and Lacey’s other children are in the care of her father. CPS said they had been in contact with Lacey once before but would not give any details. The couple are being held in Snohomish County Jail on $150,000 bail. According to Fox13, both Lacey and Leslie have criminal records which include assault, theft and possession of a controlled substance. Those poor kids…SMH. Images via facebook/tumblr

Florida City Commissioner Put On Blast After Posting Racist Facebook Message On His Page

What the hell was he thinking??? This story has us wondering when public officials will learn their lesson about spittin’ racially charged comments online and in the media?? According to The Huffington Post , John Sims publicly apologized after other lawmakers and residents complained: “To those of you who were genuinely offended, I offer my deepest apology,” said Sims at Tuesday’s workshop meeting. “Rest assured that I will continue to serve our city well and continue to work equally for all people in Cooper City regardless of religion, ethnicity or social status.” The comment Sims posted Nov. 30 read: “Just wanted to let you know … today I received my 2013 Social Security Stimulus Package. It contained two tomato seeds, cornbread mix, two discount coupons to KFC, an ‘Obama Hope & Change’ bumper sticker, a prayer rug, a machine to blow smoke up my ass and a ‘Blame it on Bush’ poster for the front yard. The directions were in Spanish. Yours should arrive soon.” Newly elected Mayor Greg Ross made a last-minute decision to add the item to the city’s workshop meeting after he received an outpouring of email from outraged residents. “The residents’ phone calls asked me to please ask him to resign or to fire him,” said Ross. “I don’t have the right to do that. It’s the citizens who vote him in and the citizens’ right to vote him out.” Ross added that Sims would benefit from “sensitivity training.” Resident Gabriel De Gedeon shared with the commission his family’s distaste with Sims’ comment. “Those comments are 100 percent bitter and ignorant,” he said. “I’m shocked that those offensive comments were written by a Cooper City commissioner.” Sims said he did not come up with the post on his own; rather, he reposted it from another site. “The post was done as a humorous commentary,” he said. “I deeply regret that I failed to consider that some might find it offensive.” Resident Jimmy Jones, who is the Hollywood assistant police chief, originally brought the comment to the city’s attention and requested Sims’ resignation last week. Jones said he was open to an apology from the commissioner Tuesday night. “As a resident in this community since 1999, I want my community served by people who care about everybody in the community,” said Jones, who is white. Another resident, Christine Timmons, defended Sims, saying he should not be humiliated for exercising his right to free speech. “Every time a white person opens his mouth, people say, ‘Oh, he’s a racist,’” said Timmons, who is black. “He can say what he wants to say. He’s got a right to free speech like anyone else.” The mayor and commissioners said they do not condone Sims’ comment and apologized to the city’s residents. “The comment was vile, offensive — it reminds me of a Neanderthal comment because it’s very backward. It was not in good taste,” said Commissioner Lisa Mallozzi. “But I accept his apology and we’re going to move forward.” This story’s got people talkin’ about the double-standard like this guy wasn’t out of line?!?! Put On Blast: Latest Elmo Accuser Says Puppeteer Couldn’t Get It Up To Chop His Gay Cakes

Poor Elmo got janky junk . Via NYPost reports : The fourth man to come forward to accuse “Sesame Street’’ puppeteer Kevin Clash of inappropriate sexual contact says the voice of Elmo had trouble getting it up as he was trying to get down with his alleged victim. “Kevin Clash told [his accuser] he had difficulty . . . due to a medical condition,” according to the new accuser’s civil lawsuit filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court. The alleged victim, now 33, said he was about 16 when he first met Clash, then 35, in 1995 while walking on a Miami beach. The two started talking — Clash complimented him on his looks, the man said — and the pair kept in touch over the phone. After learning that the accuser had problems at home and wanted to run away, Clash, the voice of Elmo for 28 years until he resigned last month, promised to “be a dad” to him. Clash lured the young man to the city “with promises to pay for his plane ticket . . . and give him cash and a free place to stay,” according to the lawsuit, in which Clash’s latest accuser remains unnamed. “[The accuser] had been abused by a teacher when he was 15 and was initially very leery of Kevin. But Kevin convinced him he would be safe” — by disclosing he was the man behind the world’s most beloved muppet, said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Miami-based Jeff Herman, who is also representing two other accusers. “As soon as he got to New York, Kevin told him he was the voice of Elmo,” Herman said. The accuser stayed with Clash only a few days, when the abuse is alleged to have happened. Herman said that because Clash is alleged to have transported his accuser across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity, he could face criminal charges. “The lawsuit is without merit, and we will vigorously defend the case and Mr. Clash’s reputation,” said Michael Berger, a lawyer for Clash, reiterating what the puppeteer’s camp has said each time the other claims were made public. A doorman at Clash’s Upper West Side apartment building yesterday said the Muppet master, a divorced dad with a college-age daughter, has not been seen in some time. The latest accuser said that being a parental figure was a role Clash liked to play — and another alleged victim has echoed that. “ ‘Mr. Tickler’ is what I will call him, and the game we played was father and son,” a previous accuser, who claims he also was 16 when he and Clash hooked up, wrote in an unpublished memoir. Herman added yesterday: “These are all vulnerable boys. None of them had father figures in their lives, and they were looking for that father figure. There’s a consistency.” Abuse charges against Clash, now 52, first surfaced last month. After the first accusation was made public, Clash released a statement that said he was gay and admitted the relationship but said it was between two consenting adults. He resigned when a second accuser came forward — college student Cecil Singleton, now 24, who sued him for $5 million. Singleton and another accuser said Clash was trolling for young boys on a gay telephone chat line and that he lied about his age. Herman said other possible victims have been in contact with him and that he is in the process of vetting them. No wonder Elmo’s such a tickle monster, he couldn’t even use that thang for nothing but a lil tickling. Life just keeps getting more and more embarrassing for this guy. SMH. AP Images

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Gets Personal With ‘Sound City’

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is heading to the Sundance Film Festival next month with his directorial debut Sound City and he’s wasting no time getting the pic out there. The film’s website is now taking pre-orders for the documentary that will be released via HD digital download and stream February 1st. It will also be released theatrically February 1. Sound City is the brainchild of Grohl who conceived the story after purchasing a custom-built 8028 recording console from Sound City Studios last year. The board was built in 1972 and considered to be a “crown jewel of analog recording equipment,” having recorded such artists as Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, Guns and Roses, Fear, Grohl’s former band, Nirvana as well as Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica and others. Grohl’s personal connection to Sound City began with the 1991 recording of Nirvana’s breakthrough album, “Nevermind”. Selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Grohl is getting personal with the feature, sending customers who pre-buy Sound City for $10 a letter, which follows: Hey there…. Thanks for scraping up your hard earned dough and buying the movie direct from our site! We’re stoked! Hope you love it as much as we do…. Ummm………Holy shit! I made a movie! I started this project a little over a year ago with ONE of my good old friends (Jim Rota from the band Fireball Ministry). That’s right….just me, my drinking buddy, and a crazy idea that we should tell the story of a studio we had loved hanging around for years, and our heartbreak to see it close. It soon blossomed into something truly epic! I don’t think either of us ever imagined our little project would become what it is now. Like all the best things in life, it just…….happened. From day one, it was the most incredible experience of my life. I swear. Sitting down with Neil Young talking about recording guitars, John Fogerty telling me about the day he decided to become a musician, Stevie Nicks telling me the story of how she joined Fleetwood Mac, Trent Reznor schooling me on the world of computers and digital technology, etc etc etc…..can you imagine? All I had to do was listen…I am the luckiest man on earth. And, being a completely independent film, no one told us how or what to do! Me and my crew of under 20 people did it OUR way. It was like a keg party with a camera. WE got to tell the story of a place we all held so dear. WE wanted to do it justice. And I think we did. But, SOUND CITY is only part of the story….. What is it that happens when 4 people turn on, plug in, and really play that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up? What is it about those moments when you hear something and it immediately puts its hooks in you, and you feel…..understood? What is it that will inspire the next generation of kids wanna do what I did when I was a little punk growing up in Springfield, Virginia? That feeling like, “Wait……I can do this too….. That’s what I’m talking about. That human connection. That human feel. That human sound…that isn’t perfect…but it’s sooooo good. I really feel like SOUND CITY is my life’s most important work. I hope you do too. Psyched that you get to see it! Show it to your friends! Get together, start a band, sound like shit, and change the world. GO! Thank you, thank you, thank you………Dave [ Sources: Sound City , THR ]

My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the…

My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the first time I heard “One Time” I was instantly hooked. I remember my friend showing me it because she thought the girl in the video looked like one of our friends from school. When she was showing me the video I had little interest in the girl and a wholeeee lot in the amazing boy who was singing the lyrics. Ever since then, Justin was (and still is) all I ever thought about. Now let’s fast forward to October 2010. That was the first time Justin was coming to my city with the My World Tour. Sadly, I didn’t have tickets and wasn’t able to go. I sat in my room that whole night and bawled my eyes out . I was so upset. I remember thinking there is no way I will ever be able to see him again. All of that changed when he released Believe on June 15th, 2012 and I found out he was going to have another tour! I was SO excited! The day the tickets went on sale, me and my sister sat on the computer trying to get them. Unfortunately, they sold out before we could even sign into Ticketmaster. I still remember that day. All I did was cry that whole day and think I really was never going to be able to see my idol live in person. I was crushed. That whole summer me and my sister spent our weekends driving all around our city trying to win tickets with different radio stations. We had no luck. But in October 2012, a local radio station released a new contest. It was called “Dads In Drag”. Yeah, that’s right. Exactly what you are thinking about. The contest meant your dad had to dress up like a drag queen and get as many votes as possible! The winner won two backstage passes, two meet and greets, two lower level tickets to the show, and $100 cash to spend at the merchandise table!! There was just one catch … There was only going to be 40 finalists out of like 1,000 entries. I was so nervous! I begged my dad to do it anyways and he said YES! I was so glad and thankful that he did! Guess what happened. My dad was chosen as one of the finalists!!! No one has any idea how excited I was when my mom called and told me! Now all that was left to do was vote! We had exactly one week to get as many votes as possible. That whole week it was all we talked, tweeted, and posted on facebook about. We were trying whatever we could to try and win these tickets. By the end of the week we had people from EIGHT different states voting for me to win! Eight! Finally the day had come and the radio station was going to announce the winner. I had school that day and the whole time I was freaking out. I kept texting my mom every 5 minutes asking if they had announced it yet. Finally they told everyone they would announce the winner at 3. I got out of school at 2 so I would be able to hear it. My dad came and picked me up from school that day and on the way home I got the best call any belieber could ever get. It was the radio station. I answered the phone and this is what they said, “YOU JUST WON TICKETS TO SEE JUSTIN BIEBER THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2ND!!!” I screamed as loud as I possibly could and started crying! I couldn’t believe I was getting to meet my idol in person in less than a week! It was seriously a dream come true. I will never forget that phone call, that summer, that contest, and November 2nd, 2012. a.k.a. THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!  The picture above is the picture my dad sent in for the contest.  We also were lucky enough to meet Dan Kanter! Thank you, for giving me a chance to share My Bieber Experience with other beliebers! Hopefully it gives them hope that one day there dreams can come true just like mine did!  Read the original: My name is Emilee and this was My Bieber Experience. From the…
