‘Breaking Dawn’ Teaser: Renesmee’s In Danger

The Volturi are coming after the newborn vampire in this teaser for the new ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ trailer, out in full on Wednesday. By Josh Wigler Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” Photo: The Volturi are coming! The Volturi are coming! Hide your immortal babies, the Volturi are coming! As promised, Tuesday (June 19) brought brings a brand new 10-second teaser for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” the final act in the supernatural romance saga based on the novels from Stephenie Meyer. Director Bill Condon’s upcoming finale focuses heavily on the ever-evolving Cullen family, which welcomed two new members to the clan in the most recent “Twilight” movie: Bella Swan, now a vampire thanks to a life-or-death choice made by Edward, and Renesmee, the vampire/human hybrid daughter of Bella and Edward. The “Breaking Dawn” 10-second teaser centers largely on Renesmee, even if she’s not physically in the spotlight. Edward introduces his baby girl to the rest of his family, but does so with a dark warning: “The Volturi think Renesmee is an immortal child.” An immortal child, for those not in the know, is a human infant or toddler bitten by a vampire. Despite their young mental age, immortal children have all of the gifts bestowed upon your average vamp — super strength, super speed and more — and are nearly impossible to control. In short, they’re bad for business, and the Volturi make it their business to kill each and every one that they find. Except Renesmee isn’t an immortal child, despite the Volturi’s beliefs. Newly minted vampire Bella says as much. “She was born, not bitten,” she says forcefully in the teaser. “She grows every single day!” But when has reason ever really worked on the Volturi? It certainly hasn’t in this case, as the Cullen family’s pleas fall on deaf ears. By the teaser’s conclusion, Aro and his fellow Volturi have descended upon Edward and Bella, who are more than ready to fight for their daughter’s life. Starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” hits theaters November 16. The full teaser trailer comes online Wednesday. Miley Cyrus Talks Bong Controversy, Future Plans

‘I’m not perfect … I made a mistake,’ she tells Marie Claire magazine in a new cover story. By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage 2011 has seen Miley Cyrus beginning to make the transition from Disney’s reigning queen to Hollywood heavyweight, as she officially said goodbye to her small-screen persona, Hannah Montana, and is now gearing up for the release of several high-profile movies. The change hasn’t been without growing pains, as the starlet recently has been the focus of a number of controversies, not the least of which was the now-infamous video that showed her smoking a bong with the herb salvia in it. In the new issue of Marie Claire , the magazine’s cover girl admits that maybe she hasn’t been a flawless example to her young fans, but she’s trying her best. “I’m not perfect … I made a mistake … I’m disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans,” Cyrus said of last year’s bong incident. When the interviewer reminded her that her behavior was something many kids her age do, she explained, “But they’re not Miley Cyrus. They’re not role models. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for.” Cyrus also addressed some rumors regarding a photo that hit the Internet last November that showed her getting seemingly very cozy with Nickelodeon star Avan Jogia. Her explanation: “If you look at the picture, I’m turned away, and he’s kissing me on the cheek. It’s very hilarious to me that people say, ‘They’re making out.’ In making out, there’s a tongue.” In addition to shaking up her Disney image, Cyrus also had to deal with the announced separation of her parents, but the teen superstar says she has no doubts that her clan will persevere. “Of course anyone is going to be upset when there are troubles in their family, but I have a lot of hope in our family, and no matter what happens, we’re gonna stay strong,” she said. As for her plans for the year to come, Cyrus says she wants to “spread love and change the world in 2011.” Related Photos Miley Cyrus’ 18th Birthday Party The Evolution Of: Miley Cyrus Related Artists Miley Cyrus

RZA Wowed By Kanye West’s ‘Runaway Love’ Remix

Justin Bieber remake with Raekwon takes ‘the past generation to the next level,’ says Wu-Tang Clan super-producer. By Shaheem Reid RZA Photo: MTV News Kanye West recently mixed music worlds like a Ron G blend. The Chicago icon flipped the beat from Wu-Tang’s “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit,” poured in Justin Bieber’s syrupy vocals from “Runaway Love” and created a b-boy-approved remix. Kanye and the Clan’s Raekwon Chef , of course, also rap on the new rendition. Before the VMAs on Sunday, MTV News hit the white carpet and spoke with the RZA — the producer of “Ain’t Nothin’ ” — who said ‘Ye definitely had his blessing to bring back his classic 1993 beat. “That was crazy,” RZA said of the Biebs’ remix. “[Kanye’s] boy called me up like, ‘Yo, we got the remix. Check this out.’ I was like, ‘Wow. Yo. What a collabo.’ I think that’s good to see. It’s always good to see each generation take the past generation to the next level, man. That’s what we do. We all inspire each other. As artists, we’re allowed to do that. So it’s all good love, man.” RZA is now on his way to China to begin directing a kung-fu flick called “The Man With the Iron Fist.” But music is still heavy on his radar: He’s contributing to Kanye’s upcoming LP and he and Nas have been in talks about working on the Queens legend’s new opus. “Escobar is one of the best MCs to ever bless the mic,” RZA said about Nas. “We’re still trying to figure our schedule out. We both got a lot of big life ahead of us. But we’re getting in. We’re gonna make that classic. You know what it is. Last time, Nas did a verse for me that was on ‘Verbal Intercourse.’ That was a classic. To get back in and make another classic like that would be real good.” What other generation-spanning hip-pop collabos would you like to hear? Tell us your ideas in the comments! Raekwon Remembers ODB Before Rock The Bells Tour Launch

Wu-Tang’s Chef expects crowd to fill in late MC’s verses as they perform 36 Chambers. By Shaheem Reid Wu-Tang Clan Photo: LOUD For fans of the architects of hip-hop, the countdown is almost over, and the annual fest that mixes hot newcomers with rap trailblazers is almost upon us. Guerilla Union’s annual Rock the Bells Tour starts Saturday at L.A.’s NOS Center with a historic lineup that includes Snoop Dogg, Slick Rick, the Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One and Rakim. Each of the headliners will perform a classic album from their catalog, and special guest Lauryn Hill will be igniting the stage with a bevy of her hits as well. Wu-Tang has chosen Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) as the LP for their set . The Clan’s Raekwon calls Rock the Bells the “royal rumble of hip-hop.” And while the Chef said he’s excited about revisiting the Clan’s breathtaking debut, he’ll definitely miss the show-stealing presence of late comrade Ol’ Dirty Bastard. “Dirty had given us the energy booster that we need to believe that we are the best,” Rae told MTV News recently in New York. “I still think about him. … I think as I’m getting a little older, I’m getting a little more sensitive in certain places when it comes to my brother being gone. “It’s gonna be fun to get out here and represent and talk about him and see all them fans go crazy because they love Dirty,” he continued. “They love Dirty so much, I know for a fact that when them records come on, they’re gonna go crazy.” Rae expects the crowd to fill in verses for their beloved brother during records such as “Shame on a N—a,” “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’ ” and, of course, “Protect Ya Neck.” “That’s a beautiful thing,” Rae said about crowd participation. “When I think about my brother not being here, it still keeps me wanting to keep that Wu-Tang flag as high as it can be. He was the one that really gave us all the spirit.” Will you be checking Wu-Tang out at Rock the Bells? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Ol’ Dirty Bastard Raekwon

RZA Addresses Comments About The South That Offended Jay Electronica

‘Hip-hop to me is more a unifying force than a separating force,’ Wu-Tang Clan mastermind tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway RZA Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Jay Electronica got people heated — namely DJ Kay Slay — when he said some Southern MCs, such as Andre 3000 and Bun B, could roast cats from up North during an interview with TheMostInfluential.com last month. Electronica, ever the outspoken warrior, was very candid with the outlet. A few minutes into the topic, the conversation shifted to Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. We all know Jay has the utmost respect for the clan from Shaolin; he shouts them out on his mixtape banger “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace.” But he admitted that he took exception to some comments from the Abbot he read years ago. “He said some real ridiculously stupid, ignorant things about some South people,” Jay said. Jay, who is from New Orleans, said he was offended when RZA was quoted questioning the intelligence of some Southern MCs while talking about the quality of lyricism. “I don’t like that,” Jay explained. “That would be like me coming to New York or another place and saying you’re of a lesser intelligence because you’re not knowledgeable about my circumstance or environment. “I took offense with RZA in that,” he added. “Peace unto RZA. That’s my brother, and RZA had a great effect on me. I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for RZA and the music he made with Wu-Tang Clan. But also RZA, you said some crazy, wild sh–. At that time, we might have had a physical altercation how I really felt about it. … Going around thinking people are slow. I just wanted to say that. Again, peace to RZA, he’s a beautiful black man. He’s done a lot for our culture, a lot for humanity in general with his music and his contribution.” Well, the RZA recently sat down and talked with MTV News’ Sway and was asked about Jay Electronica’s comments. The Wu founder wasn’t aware of Jay’s comments or his music, for that matter. RZA did have a very clear recollection of some things he said in the past about the South. “I know I said a few things about the South throughout my career in different periods,” RZA told Sway. “I don’t know the exact comment, but I remember I did an article in Rap Pages years ago, ’cause me and Master P had a talk about this years ago. I was speaking on the education level in the South, how brothers drop out … in the sixth grade — some of them because they have to go to work, some of them because of the poverty, some because they’re not interested in the education system … just a lot of crazy things that people from up North had evolved from. When I was doing this article, I was taking about my own family at first. My family comes from the South. They frying fat back in the kitchen, Grandpops didn’t have more than a sixth-grade reading level. My grandma was a welfare mom. “The truth is the truth, first of all. The South has evolved later than us,” RZA added. “Based upon where we are around. You can get a book in Harlem off the streets. Books like ‘Stolen Legacy’ the ‘Isis Paper,’ you can find this stuff in the streets of Harlem. Just walking around in Manhattan. In the South, they won’t find that in the bookstores nor the streets; they have to research it. With Internet knowledge, there’s a better chance for education for all. I felt and I seen. I got cousins out there that still live in the South. They have not picked up on the wavelength of where their mind should be. But hip-hop has helped it all evolve. Hip-hop, to me, is a blessing and a mercy for the black community first. Then I’ll say for the urban community, then I’ll say for American culture.” Also while talking to Sway, RZA noted that hip-hop doesn’t belong to just one region. The entire world has embraced it and has partial ownership. “If anybody got a question of what I say, they can ask me. I fear no man. I fear no MC’s talent,” he said. “But I definitely know when you young, you feel a certain way. At one point, we as Wu-Tang was like, ‘The whole industry is wack besides Wu-Tang.’ That was our energy, our spirit. That’s how we felt until we learned, ‘Wait a minute, hold on. That’s why they talking about that.’ Hip-hop, to me, is more a unifying force than a separating force.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines or follow the Mixtape Daily team on Twitter: @shaheemreid and @mongosladenyc .

Kanye West Joins A Pantheon Of Awards-Show Stage Crashers

Before the 2009 VMAs, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Soy Bomb and Rage Against the Machine’s Tim Commerford have been there before. By Gil Kaufman Kanye West crashes the VMA stage as Taylor Swift accepts the award for best female video on Sunday Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic For a man so hung up on being original, Kanye West pulled the oldest trick in the book on Sunday night at the VMAs when he crashed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video. For the third time at a major music awards show, West invited himself onto the stage for a righteously indignant rant against the winner, in this case the squeaky-clean, 19-year-old country phenom whose second album, Fearless, has been an unmovable staple of the top 10 for much of the past year
