Crazy Boyfriend Arrested For Murder In Missing Vegas Showgirl Case

We told you this brotha looked a bit “off” : The former boyfriend of a missing Las Vegas showgirl has been arrested for murder. The arrest of Jason “Blu” Griffith comes after much doubt had been cast on him considering the couple’s often tumultuous relationship, and nearly a month since Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, vanished without a trace after last being seen at Griffith’s home on Dec. 12. Flores-Narvaez’s body was recovered in downtown Los Angeles, although police are mum on where and when the discovery was made. Three days after she was allegedly at his home, Flores-Narvaez’s car was found abandoned in a Northwest Las Vegas neighborhood, its license plates removed. Griffith, 32, is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center, jail records show. The brunette beauty worked in several of Las Vegas’s top nightclubs after following her dream to be a trained dancer. She previously studied law and business, her family said, and she was also a cheerleading ambassador for the Washington Redskins football team. Prior to her disappearance, Flores-Narvaez sent an ominous text to her mother. “In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas,” the text sent on Dec. 1 read. “My ex-boyfriend. Not my best friend.” “It was a rocky relationship,” Celeste Narvaez-Flores told PEOPLE after her sister went missing. “A lot of ups and downs.” Last October, Griffith, also Las Vegas entertainer, was arrest for domestic violence and formally charged with coercion following a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend. A preliminary hearing is set for April on the coercion charge. Police did not immediately return calls. The attorney retained by Griffith on the coercion charge said he could not speak about the murder arrest since he has not yet been formally brought on to represent Griffith on the case. In light of the murder charge, Celeste Narvaez-Flores told PEOPLE, “I don’t want to react until I talk to the police face to face and hear what it is that they need to tell me.” SMH. R.I.P. Source

Bruno Mars Arrest Was Over Alleged Cocaine Possession

Police say singer/songwriter had 2.6 grams of white powder on him at time of arrest. By Gil Kaufman Bruno Mars in Las Vegas Police custody Photo: LVPD More details have emerged about what led to singer/songwriter Bruno Mars ‘ arrest early Sunday morning in Las Vegas on drug-possession charges. According to a copy of the arrest document provided by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the “Just the Way You Are” singer was arrested around 1:50 a.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino — where he had performed earlier in the night — for felony possession of 2.6 grams of a “white powdery substance” that tested positive as cocaine. Mars (born Peter Gene Hernandez), 23, was taken in after Las Vegas police received a narcotics call from someone at the Hard Rock. According to the report, a bathroom attendant approached a security officer at the facility to say that there was a man in a bathroom stall who might be using drugs, telling the guard that a male in the bathroom was “taking a really long time.” The attendant said he observed the suspect in a striped shirt with a “baggy of white powder substance.” The attendant and the security guard approached the suspect as he exited the stall, and the guard ordered Mars to hand over whatever narcotics he had on him. “This is when Hernandez, with his left hand, pulled out a white powder substance, which was consistent with cocaine, from his left-front jeans pocket.” When the guard asked Mars if he knew why he was being detained, the singer reportedly said, “Can I speak to you honestly, sir?” and then said he “did a foolish thing and has never used drugs before.” Mars was arrested when the substance tested positive for cocaine, and he was then transported to the Clark County Detention Center, where he was booked on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. A spokesperson for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that the case against Mars is still under review and that no charges have been filed yet. He was released from custody at 7:45 a.m. Sunday and has been ordered to return to court for his arraignment November 18. A spokesperson for Mars’ label had not released a statement on the incident at press time. Related Artists Bruno Mars

Paris Hilton Facing Felony Charge In Cocaine Bust

Socialite could get anywhere from probation to four years in prison. By Gil Kaufman Paris Hilton in Las Vegas police custody on Friday Photo: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Paris Hilton’s arrest on Friday in Las Vegas could land the socialite in jail again. According to a statement from the Clark County District Attorney’s office, the reality star will be charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after police alleged that they found .8 grams of cocaine in her purse during a search following Friday’s incident. The charges could land Hilton anything from probation to four years in prison; she could also face a $5,000 fine. Jillian Prieto, public information officer for the Clark County courts, confirmed that Hilton is due back in Vegas for an arraignment in the case on October 27. TMZ reported that unnamed friends of Hilton’s said the hotel heiress and nightlife regular is wavering a bit from her initial “it wasn’t my purse” story, explaining that Paris claims a friend recently borrowed the purse and “probably” left the illicit drug inside it. Hilton allegedly said the friend returned the bag but that she never bothered to check the contents before using it herself. The friend said Hilton explained that she was eating sushi at the Wynn resort with boyfriend Cy Waits when she got tired and Waits offered to drive her home before returning to his gig as a nightclub boss at the Wynn. “It could be a setup,” Hilton is reportedly telling friends. “Everyone knows how against cocaine I am.” Hilton was pinched after police stopped Waits’ Cadillac Escalade when they smelled “the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle,” according to the police report in the incident. When one of the officers recognized the passenger as Hilton, he said she immediately tried to roll up her window. When police stopped the car and a crowd began to gather, Hilton told the officers she was “extremely embarrassed” and asked if she could use the bathroom at the Wynn and go inside to “prevent her from being molested by the growing crowd and also asked to go somewhere private and out of the public’s eye until the investigation was over.” A Radar Online story claimed Hilton could be off the hook because police allegedly failed to check her purse at the scene and instead didn’t do so until she was inside the Wynn, which her lawyers could argue was an illegal search . The police report confirms that an officer escorted Hilton into the hotel to the Wynn security holding room while they waited for a female officer to take her to the restroom. Inside the Wynn, Paris asked if she could take some lip balm out of her purse, and when the officer handed it to her, he claimed in the report, “As she began, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.” Also found in the purse: a broken tablet of Albuterol — a prescription drug commonly used to treat asthma and wheezing — as well as Zig Zag rolling papers. Hilton copped to the Albuterol but said the cocaine was not hers and that the purse did not belong to her and that she’d borrowed it from a friend. When questioned by the police about the cocaine, she allegedly said “she had not seen it but now thought it was gum.” Also inside the purse were $1,300 in cash and some of Hilton’s credit cards. Reported boyfriend Waits failed a field sobriety test, according to the police report, and was also arrested in the incident and charged with driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol. The heiress had another run-in with the law over alleged drug possession earlier this summer when she was detained in South Africa at the World Cup for marijuana possession. But the case against Hilton was later dropped after officials learned that someone else in her group was smoking. Hilton has a history of getting in trouble for possessing substances and hitting the road, including a 23-day jail sentence in 2007 for violating probation stemming from a 2006 DUI bust.
