Kelly Clarkson Confirms Marriage, Posts Gorgeous Wedding Photos

Kelly Clarkson has confirmed the amazing news: She’s a married woman! The singer exchanged vows with Brandon Blackstock yesterday at a resort in the Smoky Mountains of Walland, Tennessee, a ceremony first Tweeted about by the sister of an employee at the venue… … and now Tweeted about by Clarkson herself! “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock 🙂 We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!” Kelly wrote this morning online, including with the announcement the above wedding portrait. Isn’t the bride gorgeous in it? The couple met through the Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, who has been Clarkson’s manager for years. He’s married to her former touring partner, Reba McEntire. Kelly Clarkson is so excited to marry Brandon Blackstock that she can’t even contain her enthusiasm over the couple’s engagement portraits. With a wedding to the man of her dreams scheduled for some time in the near future, the original American Idol just had to post one of these gorgeous pictures to Twitter yesterday, explaining: On Thursday, Clarkson tweeted, “Ok, just saw my engagement shoot pics & I have to share one!!! 🙂 Thanks @kobyb & @TerilynBrown! Jamie Foxx Honors Trayvon Martin with T-Shirt at BET Awards

Jamie Foxx donned a t-shirt in honor of slain teen Trayvon Martin at the BET Awards last night. But the actor says he wasn’t make any kind of political statement with the act. “The reason for the shirt is that I met his mom personally… it’s not political, it’s not left, it’s not right, it’s not black, it’s not white, this is about the kid,” Foxx told Kevin Frazier of The Insider , adding: “For all of us, no matter what color you are… I have kids [one who is] 19. I have a kid who’s 4. You want to protect them.” At the MTV Movie Awards in April, Foxx wore a different shirt with the faces of Martin and the children killed at the Newtown shooting on it. Accompanying those images were the words “Know Justice, Know Peace.” The George Zimmerman trial , meanwhile, is underway with the man accused of murdering Martin claiming he acted in self-defense.

During a recent concert stop, the original American Idol – who is reportedly in the running for a judging spot on that show in 2014 – covered Mumford & Sons’ mega hit “I Will Wait.” And if she didn’t outdo the initial version, she at the very least made its creator awfully proud. Stylish First Lady Michelle Obama looked radiant as always during her husband Barack Obama’s inaugural address and ceremony in D.C. today. She stepped out wearing a custom Thom Browne navy coat and dress, which reportedly “was developed based on the style of a men’s silk tie.” For yesterday’s swearing-in ceremony , Michelle wore a dress and cardigan by Reed Krakoff, a necklace by Cathy Waterman and shoes and a belt from J. Crew. Michelle Obama has become a fan of the fashion-forward Browne as of late, sporting another look from the designer at a presidential debate in October. And just like their mother, budding fashionistas Sasha and Malia Obama looked chic in Kate Spade and J. Crew, respectively. Take a look below!
