Kristen Stewart Squirms Reliving First MTV Interview

‘I just can’t handle that,’ ‘Twilight’ actress says, jumping out of her chair during ‘MTV First: Breaking Dawn.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart at MTV First: “Breaking Dawn” Photo: MTV News Our “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” was full of so many fun moments between “Twilight Saga” stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner that we would be remiss if we didn’t go back to highlight a few of the best. One of the most surprising and entertaining moments occurred when we informed Stewart that we brought a clip of her first-ever interview with MTV. Her reaction was immediate: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I actually can’t do this!” she said when we told her we were ready to roll the clip. “Ah! I don’t think you understand what that does to me. Uh. It’s happening,” she said, half-covering her face as the clip rolled. In the clip, from MTV’s first interview with Stewart and Pattinson on the set of the first “Twilight” movie, we ask Stewart what impressed her about working with Pattinson thus far. “I think he’s really handsome,” she jokes, sending Pattinson into a fit of laughter. “No, no. He can’t lie,” she admits, taking the question seriously. “He’s incapable of lying, so it’s pretty clear when we need to work on the scene.” Pattinson cuts in, joking that Stewart doesn’t think he can act: “What she means [by ‘lying’] is ‘acting.’ ” Stewart counters: “Nope. That’s so not what I mean. He’s just copping out,” she adds, and then the clip fades to black, and we see Stewart up out of her interview chair, half-pacing in front of Pattinson and Lautner. “I just can’t handle that,” Stewart attempted to explain of her discomfort watching herself onscreen. “As far as I’m concerned, this doesn’t exist,” she said, indicating that she was trying to block out the fact that we were taping an interview at that very moment. When asked what it was about the interview that had her so unsettled, Stewart said that it was just a “very different” time. “We’ve had a lot of development,” she said about her growing interactions with MTV News. “Our relationships have really progressed, I feel.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Conrad Murray Verdict Divides Michael Jackson Fans

‘I feel like though justice was made, it really wasn’t,’ one MTV.com reader writes. By James Dinh Fans react to Conrad Murray’s involuntary manslaughter conviction Photo: Pool/ Getty Images Buzz surrounding the involuntary manslaughter trial against Michael Jackson’s former personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray , reached a new high Monday afternoon (November 7) when the jury announced the verdict for the long-awaited case: guilty. Fans took to the comments section of MTV News, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages, to share their opinions on the verdict, which was reached after almost nine hours of deliberation. One MTV.com user appeared somewhat pleased with the news, writing, “I feel like though justice was made, it really wasn’t. He gets 4 years prison, but then because of overcrowding gets sentenced reduced and serves at a jail. On top of that his sentence might be reduced further. Just because you have money and you are a doctor does not mean you have the right to be negligent. Michael was someone’s son, brother, uncle, father. It’s unfair. RIP MJ.” According to Twitter user xAshley_Arianax, the jury came to the right conclusion. “Well, Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. Justice was served. RIP Michael Jackson,” she wrote. As many celebrated the verdict, others, including Christina Wixson, were on the fence about the ruling. “Man, I don’t know on this. However, I do feel that physicians take an oath…if this guy would have been found not guilty-it would make that oath and the job of physician null and void,” she wrote on MTV News’ Facebook . Jason Hubbard shared his theory about Conrad Murray: “The Dr. has responsibility and now has to pay his debt. A Doctor’s job is to help the sick not enable a drug addict because they can pay a lot of money.” Some fans of the late pop icon weren’t pleased that the doctor was only found guilty of involuntary manslaughter instead of a more severe charge. “Dr. Murray’s possible 4 year sentence does not feel like ‘justice’ for the death of a hero…. RIP Michael Jackson,” Twitter user WildeScarlette wrote. Another commenter, Katrina Maxwell, thought Murray was “guilty of breaching medical conduct due to who his client was” but “was paid all that money to do as his client instructed him.” “He’s not a murderer,” she added. MTV News will be covering the Conrad Murray case live. Go to MTVNews.com for breaking news, reactions and analysis from Los Angeles or tune to MTV for the latest updates. Kendall Jenner Birthday Special: Actually Coming to E!

Kendall Jenner will reportedly be the subject of an E! special next week, as the teenage half-sister of Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian will be chronicled in the days leading up to her 16th birthday. According to Us Weekly , which first reported this story , the show will center on Kendall shopping for a car and considering a vital question in life: belly button ring or tattoo?!? An insider even says the family is “trying to line up Nicki Minaj or Kanye [West] to perform” during the special. We’d rail against how positively absurd this sounds, how unhealthy it is to celebrate any 16-year old in such a lavish manner, but it’s Friday afternoon. We’re tired. Readers, please take over for us. [Photo: WENN.com]

Justin Bieber: Compared to The Beatles in Billboard

Justin Bieber covers the latest issue of Billboard Magazine and is asked about his Christmas duet with Mariah Carey during the interview. “That was high,” he says of the notes hit. “But I grinded it out and we got it down.” It’s Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun, who gets the most attention from this article, however. Read how he compare his client’s fame to The Beatles: “All the hype and the kids running down the street screaming, you lose the chance to say that this started because of the music. This album lets the music speak for itself. I don’t want to draw comparisons, but there was a band during the British Invasion that had girls screaming at them. I think you know who I’m talking about.” That’s high praise. Is Bieber worthy of it? Do you think he’ll have a bigger career than The Beatles?

Ryan Leslie Sued For $1 Million Over Laptop Reward

German man who returned Leslie’s stolen laptop says he wasn’t paid as promised. By Rob Markman Ryan Leslie Photo: Getty Images While $1 million might sound a bit steep for a laptop, that’s how much Ryan Leslie said he would pay to whomever returned his MacBook, which was stolen last year. Armin Augstein said he returned the computer to the “Diamond Girl” singer but claims he has yet to receive the reward, so now the 52-year old German man has filed a suit in U.S. District Court in New York, the Daily News has reported. “It’s unfortunate that my client has to go to such lengths to recover the reward,” Michael Fischman, Augstein’s U.S.-based lawyer, told the paper. MTV News reached out to Leslie’s rep for comment, but haven’t heard back as of press time. Leslie appeared on “RapFix Live” via Skype last November, shortly after he lost the computer and offered the reward. “I lost my computer out here in Germany. I actually had my whole new album on there, which I had been working on in secret, and it got stolen. So right now, I got a million-dollar reward for anybody that can return my intellectual property to me,” Leslie explained at the time. The computer and hard drive that accompanied it contained unreleased material from R.Les’ upcoming Less Is More album, and recovering the music was important to the singer. After claiming that the MacBook was stolen from the back of his car while he was in Cologne, Germany, Leslie offered a $20,000 reward but later upped the pot to a whopping $1 million. He even posted a video on YouTube to announce the reward increase. Related Videos ‘RapFix Live’ With Lloyd Banks Related Artists Ryan Leslie

Scarlett Johansson Speaks Out About Nude Photo Leak

For the first time since private photos of her hit the Net, Johansson tells CNN, ‘It just feels wrong.’ By James Montgomery Scarlett Johansson Photo: Vittorio Zunino Celotto/ Getty Images Scarlett Johansson has broken her silence about the nude photos of her that hit several websites earlier this month, saying that she feels like a target because of her fame. In an interview with CNN , the actress insisted that celebrities are no different than anyone else when it comes to the right of privacy, but added that, more often than not — as the scandal surrounding her photos proves — that just isn’t the case. “Just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy,” she said. “If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong.” The actress was interviewed in Nairobi, Kenya, where she was traveling to see firsthand the effect drought and famine have had in the area. In the hours after photos of the actress first hit the Net, Johansson’s lawyer sent cease-and-desist orders to websites that ran the pics, alleging they were hacked from her phone and therefore represented “stolen copyright-protected private photographs.” The lawyer’s statement continued, “The highly personal and private photographs at issue capture our client self-posing in her own home in a state of undress and/or topless. If you fail to comply, you will be acting at your own peril. Please govern yourselves accordingly.” Johansson reportedly also was working with the FBI to investigate who hacked her phone and leaked her photos. Fox News reported that the actress was actually interviewed by the FBI months ago in connection with an investigation into a hacking ring that also hit several other “high-profile individuals.” And to that end, Johansson told CNN that, though she struggles with life in the spotlight, she’s determined to maintain her privacy. “It’s an adjustment, but I think there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say ‘Oh wait, I’m taking it back,’ ” she said .

T.I. Returns To Halfway House

Tip set to be released from the facility on September 29, lawyer confirms to MTV News. By Rob Markman T.I. (file) Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage T.I. is halfway home. After being sent back to a federal lockup on August 31 — just as he was making his way via luxury tour bus to a post-jail facility — T.I. has now been cleared to finish the remainder of his 11-month sentence in an Atlanta halfway house as originally intended. On Thursday (September 15), the rapper’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told MTV News that Tip is currently in the halfway house, where he will remain until September 29. If all goes according to plan, the ATL rapper will have completed his current prison bid for a probation violation that stems from a September 2010 arrest for drug possession . “[T.I.] went through a disciplinary hearing held before the ‘Center Disciplinary Committee’ (composed of Community Corrections-halfway house-staff) who recommended that he be returned to the halfway house,” Sadow confirmed in an emailed statement. “We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the pro-active and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing [Federal Bureau of Prisons] officials and the media with reliable and accurate information that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other [Federal Bureau Prisons] rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta,” Sadow told TMZ. “T.I. will be released from the custody of the [Federal Bureau Prisons] on September 29th, and then will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for a period of one year.” Last month, the B.O.P. allowed Tip to provide his own transportation from the Arkansas prison where he was being held to the aforementioned Atlanta halfway house. The Trap Muzik MC’s decision to ride in a luxury tour bus was widely reported as the reason he was sent back to prison; several sites said the bus was deemed an unacceptable mode of transportation. Upon his arrival at the halfway house, T.I. was taken back into federal custody. Last week, TMZ published an incident report that clarified why T.I.’s first trip to the halfway house was actually cut short. According to the report, T.I. was on the bus last month with his wife, his manager and two VH1 producers. His manager and the television producers, however, were not authorized to be aboard the vehicle. The document also suggested that T.I. was conducting business during the interstate ride — a violation of his furlough. Still, Sadow contended that his client hadn’t violated any previous agreements and that the disciplinary committee agreed. Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: T.I. Joran van der Sloot Charged with Murder of Stephany Flores

Joran van der Sloot has been charged with murder. The Dutchman was arrested in June of 2010 after 21-year old Stephany Flores was found bludgeoned to death in his Lima hotel room. He now faces a 30-year jail sentence and would have to pay a restitution penalty of $73,000 to the victim’s family if found guilty. According to van der Sloot’s attorney, his client would claim temporary insanity and plead guilty in exchange for a less harsh sentence. van der Sloot allegedly killed Ramirez because she glanced at his laptop and discovered his connection to 18-year-old Natalee Holloway, who disappeared from Aruba in 2005 and who van der Sloot is rumored to have murdered. He was arrested twice for the crime, but never charged, and it remains unsolved.

Shia LaBeouf Accused

“Shia had to climb over people and tear himself out of the grasp of various strangers who were trying to keep him from going crazy,” the insider claims. “His date panicked and ran out after him. Marilyn looked shocked and annoyed, but stayed seated.” A rep for LaBeouf doesn#39;t shoot down much of this account, but simply said his client always meant to leave early and “no altercation occurred.” Already enemies with Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, Shia LaBeouf didn#39;t exactly make new frie

Dr. Conrad Murray Case: Prosecutors Seek Ban on Michael Jackson Molestation References

Prosecutors trying to convict Dr. Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter want to make sure the trial does not become about Michael Jackson’s personal life. In particular, they want the judge to disallow all testimony related to allegations of Michael Jackson molesting children, and to block a potentially key witness. Steve Robel, a key Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s investigator in MJ’s 2005 molestation trial, is on the witness list compiled by Dr. Conrad Murray’s team. Dr. Murray’s trial is scheduled to get underway next month . Prosecutors want all references to molestation barred from Murray’s trial, on grounds it has nothing to do with MJ’s death and would merely inflame the jury. Also, prosecutors have also asked the judge to block the testimony of doctors who treated Jackson but were not involved in his care at the time of his death. This is a major issue that could dramatically alter the case. Why? The defense will argue at least nine other doctors addicted MJ to meds – including Propofol – and are responsible for the condition Michael was in. Murray, therefore, cannot be held responsible for what happened. Judge Pastor has not ruled on the motions, but what he decides on that point could be critical in determining how Murray’s defense takes shape. Pastor has, however, determined that the Murray jury will NOT be sequestered during the trial, as he does not want jurors to feel like inmates. Pastor feels that even though Jackson’s death was incredibly high profile, measures will be in place to make sure the jury is not contaminated. Murray’s team argued that sequestering the jury would be the only way to prevent their client from full-on character assassination by the press. [Photo: WENN.com]
