Robert Halderman Pleads Not Guilty to Extortion of David Letterman

Robert “Joe” Halderman has pleaded not guilty to charges that he aimed to extort $2 million from David Letterman. The CBS producer was arraigned in a Manhattan courthouse this afternoon, following his Thursday morning arrest on charges that he threatened to expose Letterman’s affair with staff member Stephanie Birkitt , who was living with Halderman at the time. Sources claim Halderman was seeking money to help with child support payments he owes ex-wife Patty Montet, from whom he divorced in 2004.

In 2003, insiders told Fox News Kim spent about three months “making a lot of money” as a stripper at Atlanta’s top gentleman’s establishment, The Cheetah Club.

An attorney for Tila Tequila rejected the denials of San Diego Chargers star Shawne Merriman and maintains that the player assaulted the TV personality. The two got into some sort of conflict Sunday morning. Merriman claimed that Tila was drunk and he was keeping her safe by keeping her off the road.
