By James Dinh Brandy on “When I Was 17” Photo: MTV Sometimes celebrities get starstruck too — just ask Brandy. In the latest episode of “When I Was 17,” the singer-turned-reality starlet opens up about meeting Michael Jackson, thanks to producer Rodney Jerkins. “When I was 17, my producer Rodney Jerkins was working with Michael Jackson at the time,” Brandy says in the episode, premiering Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. “He knew how much I wanted to meet Michael Jackson, so he says, ‘Would you like to come and meet him?’ I’m like, ‘Are you serious? Of course I want to meet Michael Jackson! Where do I meet you? Where do we come?’ ” And it wasn’t just Jerkins who knew about the singer’s admiration for Jackson. “Michael Jackson was it, so we studied Michael. Brandy studied Michael,” her brother Ray J says. Brandy says the super-producer orchestrated the meeting between the siblings and Jackson at the recording studio. However, prior to entering the room, Brandy says nerves got the best of her. “My heart is beating so fast at this point,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum recalls. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God. It’s happening. We’re about to open the door and he’s going to be in there.’ ” Ray J, who was equally excited, peeped around the room, saying, “When we first walked into the studio, we can kind of see Michael in the corner and we looked at each other like, ‘Did you see him?’ ” Unfortunately, Brandy, couldn’t maintain the same type as composure. “And I’m looking at him like, ‘Oh my God. This is Michael Jackson,’ ” adding, “I fainted, blacked out — like seriously blacked out.” “When I Was 17” airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. Related Artists Brandy

Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Is ‘All Club Bangers,’ Pauly D Says

‘The hands immediately go up when that beat kicks [in],’ the ‘Jersey Shore’ DJ tells MTV News live about ‘Hold It Against Me.’ By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Britney Spears in her “Hold It Against Me” video Photo: Jive Britney’s “Hold It Against Me” has at least one fan fist-pumping: Pauly D. And he’s not alone! MTV News caught up with the “Jersey Shore” DJ via Skype to gauge his reaction to Britney Spears’ hotly anticipated new track, “Hold it Against Me,” and the accompanying video , which premiered Thursday on MTV. He was feeling under the weather during our live “MTV First: Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Video Premiere” discussion but kept his appointment: “It’s all good, man,” he said. “I’m a warrior!” Increasingly known for his night job as a DJ, the reality-show star gave a strong endorsement for the track’s club-worthiness. “It’s a major, fist-pumping track,” he said of the reactions the song has gotten when he’s put it on. “The hands immediately go up when that beat kicks [in]. It’s such a hard beat. It’s like ‘ba-ba-ba,’ they’re fist-pumping to that track. It has energy. I love it!” When Pauly is working a room, he’s careful to stay in tune with the vibe of the crowd. A track like Britney’s latest single is exactly the type of song he prefers to keep in his arsenal as a secret weapon. It’s the type of song he’s dubbed a “go-to” track when DJing. “I don’t make any set [lists],” he explained. “I read the crowd. And then if I’m playing something and I’m kind of losing them a little bit, I know if I drop that track, I bring ’em right back!” So how might a great DJ follow up a “go-to” song like “Hold it Against Me”? “You gotta keep that momentum after that track, so I drop my track immediately after that, ‘Beat Dat Beat (It’s Time To),’ ” he offered, in something of a good-natured plug for his own single. Pauly D’s position of privilege as an MTV star and budding DJ has, in addition to the obvious perks, afforded him an opportunity Britney fans would salivate over: the chance to hear much of her forthcoming new album, Femme Fatale, which doesn’t drop until March 29. “Seriously, it’s all full of club bangers,” he revealed. “And I’m so excited about it, because I cannot wait to play ’em in the club. Literally, you can play the majority of that album in the club. I love the way she went to that route.” In a move that displayed his increasing media savvy, Pauly refused to let any song titles slip, but he did reiterate that “they’re all club bangers. They’re a lot like ‘Hold it Against Me.’ [ Femme Fatale is full of] major, major, club-banging tracks.” Do you agree with Pauly’s “club banger” assessment of “Hold It Against Me”? Let us know in the comments! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore,” airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Justin Bieber Hospitalized After Filming ‘CSI’ Cameo

‘He had a mild allergic reaction while they were wrapping up last night on the set of ‘CSI,’ ‘ Bieber’s rep tells E! By Kara Warner Justin Bieber on the set of “CSI” Photo: CBS Justin Bieber is really committing to his acting — so much so that it landed him in the hospital Wednesday. According to E! Online , the 16-year-old superstar developed breathing trouble while filming scenes for his upcoming appearance on “CSI.” But never fear, Beliebers: The Best New Artist Grammy nominee is just fine. His breathing trouble was apparently caused by an allergic reaction, for which Bieber received insta-treatment at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, on Wednesday evening. “He is fine,” Bieber’s rep told E! on Thursday (January 13). “He had a mild allergic reaction while they were wrapping up last night on the set of ‘CSI.’ His doctor met him at the hospital to make sure everything was OK. He was released within the hour after his doctor declared him fine. He is back on set working today. All is well.” Judging by Bieber’s tweets last night — in which he made no mention of a hospital visit and instead posed a series of random questions to fans — he wasn’t too bothered by his earlier troubles. “If you could meet anyone in the world who would it be?” he tweeted. Followed by: “Ok ok…if you could be the greatest athlete or the greatest entertainer which would u be? tough one.” Then: “And the toughest question of the night….fresh sheets or fresh socks??? #epicquestion.” On Thursday, he tweeted this confident missive about being back on “CSI”: “Ok last day on the set as a #badass. Gonna get deadly today.” Apparently all is indeed well with the Biebs. Phew. What are you expecting from Bieber’s return to “CSI”? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Justin Bieber

‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Snooki Hides In A Bush

Also, Vinny demonstrates why he’s our ‘MVP’ of the week. By Jim Cantiello Snooki on Thursday’s episode of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV Ronnie and Sammi went to church this week on “Jersey Shore” “to relieve their sins.” I didn’t know being boring and ruining a reality TV show was a sin. But if it is, sweetheart, you’re going to hell. Still, it wasn’t all boring by any stretch. Here are my five favorite moments from Thursday’s episode: 5. Who the Hell Is That?! This episode picked right up where we left off in the premiere: in a tornado of fingernails and hair extensions. As Sammi and JWoww clawed at each other, we met two new housemates. (Funny, they didn’t look very Italian to me!) The burly security guards didn’t stay long but they did help break up that catfight. 4. Spray It And then it was time to go clubbing, yo! As the guys reached for the T-shirts, the girls grabbed the hairspray. “It’s a good thing none of us have asthma,” JWoww pointed out. Or an ozone layer. F— the environment! 3. MVP While trying to fashion a giant hose in order to save a kickball for Snooki and Deena — don’t ask — Vinny revealed some intimate details about his failed hookup with Snooki. OK, seriously, between that scene, his stalker at the club, his executing a “robbery” against the Situation, and his playful conversation with JWoww about Deena’s breasts, Vinny, you’re our MVP of the week. 2. ‘Can You Believe This Mother—-er?’ So Ron cheated on girlfriend Sammi in Miami and lied about it. JWoww and Snooki tell their pal about Ron’s cheating ways (in an admittedly stupid way), but she stays with him anyway. He turns Sam against all her female friends, and then when she’s depressed about not having any friends because he helped destroy all those relationships, he gets angry at her for being depressed and not wanting to hang out with her estranged friends who are now her mortal enemies? Oh, NO. Can you believe this mother—-er? And that was, “Can You Believe This Mother—-er?” 1. Snooki Bush At the club, Snooki snuck off to be one with nature … literally. “Who goes and hides in a bush?” she asked rhetorically. “Only me. I don’t care. I’ll pee in a bush, I’ll poop in a bush, I’ll hide in a bush.” Wait. Did she just take a dump in that bush?!! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore,” airing Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Britney Spears Fans Embrace ‘Hold It Against Me’

‘The beat is sick!’ one fan commented. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Eric Charbonneau/Le Studio/Wireimage We’re sure there are people in the world who don’t like the new Britney Spears song, “Hold It Against Me,” but judging by the comments on several articles MTV News has posted about the track on Monday, most fans are enthralled with Spears’ latest opus about love on the dance floor. “Britney, you are amazing as always. I’m glad that you are back,” commenter Juliana Alves shared. “Loved the new song.” “She is definitely back! Her single is hot!” Ry commented. “The beat is sick! U rock, Brit!” Rus7 pointed out that at first he didn’t love “Hold It Against Me,” but then it grew on him. “The first seconds I listened to the song, I was kinda disappointed ’cause it was the same as the demo, but then the second and the third chorus, including the break, just made me change my idea. I love the final beats!” he wrote. “This song is just to be in the club. … Haha, definitely 5 stars!” Weighing in on the epic Gaga vs. Britney battle of 2011 , Adham noted that this song definitely is a tune to give Gaga a run for her money. “Omgg you guys are right, even though I still don’t think it’s good enough to beat Gaga, but wowwwwwwww!!! It’s definitely competition 😛 I LOVE IT!!” LOX added, “Queen Britney! It’s just the beat, her sexy and catchy voice. … No one is like Britney. Maybe Gaga is more talented, but I’m sorry like every country … music only has one queen: BRITNEY!! You’re back, and it’s Britney B*tch!!” Ccrazy4brit
