Trayvon Martin’s cousin, Ronquavis Fulton, said that he didn’t believe Trayvon would ever “circle back” to fight George Zimmerman after trying to evade him. Fulton said that Martin was a “well-mannered, soft spoken person,” and claims that he was the aggressor are “totally unbelievable.” He also said that he’s sure the voice on the 911 recordings is Trayvon’s. We have an update on the passing of Whitney Houston. A week after the official coroner’s report listed this singer’s cause of death as being a heart attack, likely related to cocaine use, it’s now been confirmed that the drug was , indeed, discovered in Whitney’s hotel room at the time her body was found. Initial reports had been sketchy on this fact, with rumors circulating that cocaine may have been present in Houston’s system – but no traces of the substances were anywhere near the bathtub in which she drowned. Allegations of someone tampering with the evidence even ran wild. But now sources connected to the investigation tell TMZ that “white, powdery remnants” were taken into custody and later identified as cocaine . Does this put the tragedy to rest? Sadly, probably not. Accusations of who supplied Whitney with her drugs of choice will continue for the foreseeable future. Ray J has already been forced to come out and defend himself against this charge .

Keith Olbermann has just been fired by the cable network that took him in after the much higher-profile cable network he was previously on cut him loose. Current TV, which was co-founded by Al Gore, released a statement saying it was parting ways with the pundit , surprisingly citing a difference in values. The decision comes less than a year after Keith Olbermann was fired by MSNBC , then hired by Current to help energize the network’s primetime ratings. Current said in a statement this afternoon: “We created Current to give voice to those Americans who refuse to rely on corporate-controlled media and are seeking an authentic progressive outlet.” “We are more committed to those goals today than ever before.” “Current was founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.” Current also announced today that it will be giving former New York Governor and CNN personality Eliot Spitzer a show in the network’s 8 p.m. hour.

Rick Santorum posted another convincing win in yesterday’s Louisiana’s GOP primary, but still faces doubts over whether he can broaden his appeal to win the race. The Republican presidential candidate said the race was far from over, recalling the naysayers who said Ronald Reagan was too conservative to win the nomination. But the road ahead is difficult for Santorum, who’s slogging it out a game of numbers to clinch the 1,144 delegates needed to clinch the party’s nomination. Santorum will win at least eight of the 20 delegates up for grabs, according to CNN. Going into Louisiana, Mitt Romney had 563 delegates to Santorum’s 251. At this point, it is very unlikely that Santorum, Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul can overtake Romney, with their only chance being to keep him from hitting 1,144. If that were to occur, the nominee could be decided at an open convention when party officials convene this summer, but it remains a long shot at best now. The candidates get a few days of breathing space before the next round of primaries on April 3 when Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia vote. Leolah Brown, the sister of Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown, went on the “Dr. Drew” show on HLN on Thursday night and made some salacious allegations aimed at Houston’s frequent companion, singer Ray J. Leolah claimed that she saw Ray J leaving Houston’s hotel room in a hurry on the night of her death in February. “I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel, hiding his head, being pushed into the car,” she told Drew. “Why? I looked and I said, ‘why is he hiding his face?’ He’s always trying to show his face when he’s around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now Ray J?” She went on to allege that Ray J was never Houston’s boyfriend, as widely reported, but that he was her “runner boy,” and that he often fetched and gave her drugs. Drew said that CNN/HLN could not independently confirm Leolah Brown’s claims. But a spokesperson for Ray J denied the allegations, telling TMZ that he had no knowledge that Houston was using again before her death. Furthermore, the unnamed rep said Ray J was not even with Houston on the day she died, but was in San Diego. While a final coroner’s report is not due for two more weeks, the initial report claims that traces of cocaine were found in Houston’s system at the time of death along with anti-anxiety drug Xanax, muscle relaxant Flexeril, marijuana and Benadryl, which officials said played no role in her death. No cocaine was found in the singer’s room when she died, but coroner spokesman Craig Harvey noted that cocaine metabolites were found in her system, leading them to conclude that Houston was a chronic user of the drug. A number of prescription pills were recovered in the Beverly Hills hotel room, but officials from the coroner’s office said there wasn’t an unusual amount of medication. The Blaze, a right-wing site started by Glenn Beck, has a post up insinuating that Trayvon Martin may have been a dangerous criminal: But Mytheos Holt, an associate editor at the Blaze, chided many supporters of Trayvon “for being too willing to exploit racial controversy” and for dismissing claim of self-defense Zimmerman. Holt went further and criticized Trayvon Martin by insinuating that the slain teen was a troublemaker. We’re also learning more about Trayvon Martin. According to reporters he had been suspended from school. The International Business Times says Martin’s suspension was due to last for 10 days. But what exactly was he suspended for in the first place? Sources sympathetic to Martin say he was suspended for “excessive tardiness.” However, a quick review of both the local policies for Martin’s school, the Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School, and of the Miami-Dade school district’s district-wide policies, raise some doubts. Holt went on to enumerate the many infractions which can lead to a student being suspended in that school district — including theft, sexual harassment, vandalism or sex offenses. No reports have suggested that Martin was suspended for anything other than lateness. Holt did not explain in his post why he assumed that these hypothetical infractions were likely. The sentiment that Martin was up to no good was echoed in the comments of the post, but they were less extreme than those found on the website of Fox News. “GOOD SHOT ZIMMY. lol” wrote one commenter. “i’m just glad Zimmerman didnt miss and hit an innocent bystander,” said another.
