Christine O’Donnell Labels Piers Morgan "Creepy"

As a one-time witch, Christine O’Donnell should watch who she calls “creepy.” America’s favorite ultraconservative princess/occult dabbler continues to make the media rounds to promote her new book, hitting Today this morning. In response to questions about walking out on Piers Morgan earlier this week, she called out the CNN host and his line of “inappropriate” questioning. Christine O’Donnell Ad According to O’Donnell, it was Piers’ “very inappropriate, creepy line of questioning” that featured “sex questions that he would not ask of a man.” We disagree. If a male politician made railing against gay marriage and masturbating a centerpiece of his platform. Piers would probably bring it up. Furthermore, Piers’ questions all covered topics in her book Trouble Maker , which she was there to promote. She didn’t like them, so she peaced out. No, not on a broom.

Gia Allemand and Ryan Anderson: Dating!

Gia Allemand ( Bachelor Pad ) and Ryan Anderson (Orlando Magic) are dating! Talk about a slam dunk, or a better basketball/love metaphor! The 27-year-old model said that “fate stepped in” when she was introduced to Ryan while doing a photo shoot in The Bahamas in February. “We ended up hanging out every minute I was able to when I wasn’t working,” says Allemand , who was soon offered a job in The Bahamas. That required her relocation to Florida – where Anderson’s pro team happens to be – in order to “be flown to the Bahamas every weekend.” Allemand, who recently designed a line a bathing suits for The G Stop, says she and the 23-year-old Anderson have been going strong. “Not only was it love at first sight but it seemed like a touch of destiny. We now both live in Orlando and couldn’t be happier,” Allemand says. “I think I may have finally found the one!” Eat it, Jake Pavelka and Wes Hayden.

Christine O’Donnell Declines Offer to Put Spell on Piers Morgan

Former U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell defended her decision to walk off Piers Morgan Tonight , but also responded with a good-natured Tweet after the host took a dig at her past as a witch. “Ms O’Donnell wasn’t happy about me quizzing her re withcraft and sex. But really flipped at gay marriage Qs. Ripped mike and fled,” Piers said. “My first ever walk-out in 25 years of interviews … do you think Christine O’Donnell is going to put a witch’s curse on me now?” Piers then did the professional thing, inviting Christine back on his show to discuss the walk-off. But she respectfully declined on Twitter. “Piers, thanks for the invite. Schedule is already packed, maybe another night. No hard feelings, you cheeky bugger,” she wrote. And that’s that. The sorceress/politician told Fox News earlier today that she didn’t come on CNN to speak about those hot button issues, and wanted to discuss other topics instead … except that Piers wouldn’t STFU about sex! Saying she found Piers’ line of questioning to be “inappropriate” and “borderline creepy,” the Republican from Delaware added: “I was not there to talk about sex – and he would not stop trying to talk about sex.” For the record, gay marriage is a broader topic than just sex, but with this piece of work, we don’t expect logic to resonate, so forget it. Anderson Cooper on DepardTwo: HAHAHAHAHA….

Gerard Depardieu may have grossed many people out when he urinated on an Air France flight this week, but the French actor cracked CNN host Anderson Cooper up. Or, to be more specific, the numerous puns associated with Depardieu’s ridiculous action led to an uncontrollable laughing fit from the anchor. “Some unlucky cleaning crew had to deal with the Golden Globe-winning tinkle. All I can say is they should thank their lucky stars it wasn’t DepardTwo,” Anderson said… and then he lost it: Anderson Cooper Cracks Up

The Game Off The Hook In ‘Flashcalling’ Incident

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will not pursue charges. By Gil Kaufman The Game Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage The Game should be gearing up to finally release his long-awaited CD, The R.E.D. Album , but instead he appeared on CNN on Wednesday night to defend himself against charges that he interfered with police business at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Last week, a message appeared on the West Coast rapper’s Twitter feed asking aspiring interns to ring the sheriff’s station in Compton, leading to a flood of calls that reportedly delayed emergency services . The sheriff’s department was considering filing criminal charges against the MC, but on Wednesday, CNN reported that authorities have decided not to pursue legal action after The Game apologized for the incident. Game (born Jayceon Taylor) made his mea culpa on Wednesday, saying the whole thing was a misunderstanding. “It was a simple mishap,” the rapper said. “I was doing a photo shoot, and it was downtown Los Angeles, and one of my boys picked up my phone and started tweeting random numbers,” he said, not naming the person who allegedly set off the incident. “Whenever his phone is laying around and my phone is laying around, we tweet from each other’s page. That’s what happened.” The sheriff’s department followed up with their own statement, in which they praised the one-time 50 Cent prot

Sugarland Plan Indiana State Fair Memorial

Band sends out prayers for ‘peace and healing’ families of five killed and dozens injured in Saturday’s stage collapse. By Jocelyn Vena Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles (file) Photo: Rick Diamond/ Getty Images Following last Saturday’s stage collapse before their scheduled concert at the Indiana State Fair , Sugarland have announced they will hold a memorial to honor the five killed and dozens injured in the accident. The band announced on their website that they are working on a memorial. “We are in the process of planning a private memorial in Indiana to honor those fans who died. We would first like to hold space so that their families can have time to go through their own services and memorials. Until that time we are holding vigil for them,” they wrote. “We join them on their mourning benches. And we stand in the gap asking God to offer them peace and healing. For those suffering from injury we hold you up with prayers for complete healing of your own.” In addition to their plans to honor those lost and injured, Sugarland also announced they will resume their tour later this week. “We are also addressing our own specific healing,” the statement continues. “Our road family experienced its traumas together. While we all scattered to our given families for their comfort, the trauma we experienced together binds us in a unique way that we share only with each other, and those who were there. There is healing in our being together. There is healing in our working together. For this reason we are planning to get back on the road this weekend, beginning with our scheduled show in Albuquerque this Thursday, August 18th. The emotions have us yearning to be close to each other immediately. The logistics have us needing to replace all of our instruments and equipment. (The set is a loss that is insignificant in light of the tragedy.)” A memorial service was held on Monday at the fairgrounds where the accident took place. According to USAToday.com , 500 people attended the service, including Governor Mitch Daniels. The website for the fair, which reopened on Monday, announced that some shows, like the Train/Maroon 5 show, have been moved elsewhere on site, while Janet Jackson’s and Lady Antebellum’s performances have been canceled all together. Michael Jackson Estate Threatens Legal Action Over Tribute Concert

‘Michael Forever’ concert rescinds invitation for Kiss to perform following complaints from estate and fans. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson in the video for “Hold My Hand” Photo: Sony Music Entertainment Several weeks after announcing their intention to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson with an all-star concert called “Michael Jackson Forever,” the initial lineup for the October 8 show at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, was revealed last week. According to promoters, the Michael Forever show is slated to feature such stars as Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Motown legend Smokey Robinson, in addition to less globally popular talents, including Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Leona Lewis, JLS, Craig David, Alien Ant Farm and a pair of Jackson-related groups, 3T and the Jackson Brothers. The one thing the event does not have, however, is the approval of Jackson’s powerful estate, which had kept silent about the show put together by parents Joseph and Katherine Jackson, along with siblings Jackie, Tito, Marlon, LaToya and Rebbie. Brothers Jermaine and Randy have not been involved in the plans and have publicly objected to the event because it falls in the middle of the involuntary manslaughter trial of Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray. On Tuesday (August 16) a spokesperson for the estate — which has handled all of Jackson’s affairs since his 2009 death — confirmed that estate lawyer Howard Weitzman sent a letter to concert organizers last week raising some pointed questions about the show. “I represent the Executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson. As the legal caretakers of Michael’s intellectual property, we believe it is our duty to contact you directly regarding the growing number of questions that have been addressed to the Estate, as well as multiple concerns that have emerged in recent days,” reads the letter. After reminding organizers that the estate is the only entity that can sign off on the use of Jackson’s image or his intellectual property — the concert’s website is careful not to feature any images of the singer or samples of his music — the letter said the estate was “especially disappointed” by the announcement on Monday that greasepaint rockers Kiss have been added to the bill. Specifically, the beef was that outspoken Kiss bassist Gene Simmons has made a number of disparaging comments about Jackson in the past. “It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner had you announced this ‘news’ that [Simmons] would participate in your concert that TMZ posted an item noting that Mr. Simmons called Michael Jackson … a child molester, notwithstanding the fact that Michael was acquitted by a jury,” read the letter. Jackson fansite MJ4Justice was flooded with negative comments about the addition of Kiss, announced on Monday by Katherine Jackson on CNN, and has called for a boycott of the show. The concert’s Facebook page has also been inundated with concerns over the booking of Kiss. And the complaints worked. On Tuesday, the concert’s promoter, Global Live Events, canceled Kiss’ “invitation” to appear in the show. “We have listened to Michael’s fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons,” CEO Chris Hunt said in a statement. “Under the circumstances we fully agree that even though Kiss is a band Michael admired we have no choice but to rescind our invitation to them to appear in our tribute concert. We offer our sincerest apologies to Mrs. Jackson and the family for this oversight — our primary concern must be to do justice to Michael’s memory, and to put on a tribute that the family and the fans will find suitable and fit for a King, our

Elsewhere In The World: Two Men Popped In The U.K. For Trying (And Failing) To Incite A Riot Via Facebook

Is it just us, or does something not sound quite right with this? Via CNN : Two men have been jailed for four years each in northwest England for inciting disorder via social networking sites as rioting and looting erupted in London and other cities last week, police said Tuesday. The pair, who were arrested last week, were named by Cheshire Police as Jordan Blackshaw, 20, and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22. Neither of their Facebook posts resulted in any rioting, a Cheshire Police spokeswoman said. Sutcliffe-Keenan had set up a Facebook page called “Warrington Riots” that urged rioters to gather in the northwestern town on August 10, while Blackshaw had created a page encouraging people to cause trouble in his home town of Northwich on August 9, the spokeswoman said. Residents and business reported the posts to police and the men were arrested before any disorder occurred, she added. Handing down their sentence at Chester Crown Court, Judge Elgan Edwards said he hoped it would serve as a deterrent to others. More than 1,300 people have been charged across England in connection with last week’s unrest, which led to widespread looting and damage. Five deaths have been linked to the violence. Many courts have used fast-track procedures to bring suspects to justice. Police and politicians have pointed to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as mobile messaging services, as tools used to organize looting and violence. Cheshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Phil Thompson said, “If we cast our minds back just a few days to last week and recall the way in which technology was used to spread incitement and bring people together to commit acts of criminality, it is easy to understand the four-year sentences that were handed down in court today. “In Cheshire, we quickly recognized the impact of the situation on our communities and the way in which social media was being used to promote and incite behavior that would strike fear into the hearts of our communities.” Prime Minister David Cameron told Parliament on Thursday that “when people are using social media for violence, we need to stop them.” The government was working with the police and intelligence services, he said, “to look at whether it would be right to stop people communicating via these websites and services when we know they are plotting violence, disorder and criminality.” What in the name of civil liberties?? Does that sound okay to you?
