Charlie Sheen Retools Torpedo Of Truth Tour After Bad Reviews

Actor switches to interview format after bombing in Detroit. By Gil Kaufman Charlie Sheen Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images You may have thought that troubled former “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen doesn’t listen to any voices except the warrior shouts in his own head. But the actor appeared to have listened to his audience when he took the stage Sunday night for the second stop on his My Violent Torpedo of Truth/ Defeat Is Not an Option Tour. After bombing hard during his opening show in Detroit the night before and getting booed off the stage when his wandering production went off the rails, Sheen changed up the format Sunday in Chicago and gave the audience more of what they were looking for: dish on his chaotic personal life. According to ABC News , Sheen ditched his comedic opening act and the rambling multimedia presentation and switched to an interview-style format, with an MC asking him questions about his life and career for 90 minutes. He talked about the pleasure he gets from his “goddesses” and called former “Two and a Half” co-star Jon Cryer a “rock star.” He tried to calm down the crowd when they heckled the less appreciative audience in Detroit and shouted “Detroit sucks!” while waiting for Sheen to take the stage. He regaled the crowd of 3,600 at the Chicago Theatre with the tale of the first time he tried drugs; he talked about his marriages and his legal problems and explained why he prefers to pay for sex. “I have millions to blow, and I ran out of stuff to buy,” he said. Smoking throughout the show, Charlie lamented his dad Martin Sheen’s advice to pass up “The Karate Kid” in favor of the chance to appear in “Predator 2,” never mind, as CNN pointed out, that “Predator 2” came out six years after “Kid” and Charlie did not appear in it. Sheen reportedly stayed up all night on the bus ride from Detroit to Chicago retooling the show. He ended the night with a poem, which read, “I stand before you oh captain oh captain to most humbly praise you for this radical ripple this single cast stone in the stagnant puddle that is the known universe. Your weapon of choice is wordplay via Dr. Seuss play.” It remains to be seen how the rest of the 20-city tour will do, with reports that a number of shows are suffering from poor ticket sales in light of the bad reviews of the Detroit appearance. Jesus Take The Wheel! 25 Year Old Ohio Woman’s Body Is Found In Church’s Septic Tank!!

This is sad and disgusting. Jesus is not pleased. The mother-in-law of a 25-year-old woman found dead in a septic system provided investigators with details where the corpse was located, police said Wednesday. The mother-in-law, Sandra Inman, along with the woman’s estranged husband, William Inman Jr., and the woman’s father-in-law, William Inman Sr., were arrested and face kidnapping charges. Logan, Ohio Police Chief Aaron Miller said the body of Summer Inman was discovered in a septic system behind a church in nearby Nelsonville, Ohio on Tuesday. He said officers had to unscrew the system’s cover before reaching the body. “It would appear that she was killed very quickly,” Miller told reporters. He did not provide further details. You know what they say when a wife comes up missing… Summer Inman and William Inman Jr. were married in 2004 but the couple was separated, CNN affiliate WBNS reported. Summer Inman had also filed for divorce and claimed in court documents that her husband had threatened to kill her if she took his children away, the affiliate reported. You do the math. Source

My Chemical Romance Team With Fans On ‘Sing It For Japan’

Band will release charity version of latest single and fan-fueled video, with all proceeds going to Red Cross efforts. By James Montgomery My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way Photo: Samir Hussein/ Getty Images My Chemical Romance have announced plans to release a charity version of their song “Sing,” with all proceeds going to the Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts in Japan. But they’re not doing it alone. Instead, they’re reaching out to members of their MCRmy to help the cause. The band is asking fans to submit videos, pictures, drawings and written messages to the people of Japan through social sites like Twitter — using the hashtag #SINGItForJapan — which they’ll then compile into a video to be paired with the song. “We’d like to send messages of hope to Japan from people all over the world. … Go wherever your creativity and heart takes you. It could be as simple as you holding up a sign with ‘#SINGItForJapan’ written on it, or anything else you can dream up,” guitarist Ray Toro wrote on the band’s official site. “From what we’ve seen on tour, we know you guys can dream bigger than we ever could. Don’t be afraid to get your families involved. If you are inspired to do something alone, that’s great too. But we encourage you to get a big group of people from your community together. We want Japan to know just how many people are behind them.” Toro added that the band got the idea after noticing that, in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunamis that ravaged Japan, fans were sending messages of support to the nation using the hashtag. “After the news of the earthquake and tsunami spread, I did what most people did. I stopped and stared at the TV. I sat at the computer, constantly refreshing CNN in hopes of some good news,” he wrote. “And I went to Twitter to see what people were saying. I noticed a hashtag, ‘SINGItForJapan,’ where you kids were writing messages of hope, saying prayers and sending your condolences and well wishes to survivors. It moved me in a profound way.” The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 30, at 8 p.m. ET. There’s no news on just when the band’s new version of “Sing” will be made available, but for more information — and to submit material for #SINGItForJapan — check out My Chemical Romance’s official site .
