We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further.” The separation was confirmed to CNN by Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider. The Gores were married in 1970 and have four grown children. Vice President Al Gore served alongside former President Bill Clinton in the White House from 1993 until 2001. Fisherman files restraining order against BP

New Orleans, Louisiana (CNN) — A fisherman who was hospitalized after becoming ill while cleaning up oil in the Gulf of Mexico has filed a temporary restraining order in federal court against oil company BP. John Wunstell Jr., is asking BP to give the workers masks and not harass workers who publicly voice their health concerns. Wunstell, a shrimper, said he was paid by BP to use his boat, Ramie's Wish, to clean up oil that has been gushing into the Gulf since an oil rig sank about 40 miles off the Louisiana coast, gushing an estimated 19,000 barrels (798, 000 gallons) of crude a day. In an affidavit, Wunstell wrote he started experiencing severe headaches and nasal irritation on May 24. Over the next few days, he also developed nosebleeds, an upset stomach, and aches. On Friday, Wunstell was airlifted to West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana, where he remained hospitalized Sunday. Eight other workers were brought to the hospital this week and were all released. “We need to start protecting these guys,” said Jim Klick, Wunstell's lawyer. In his affidavit, Wunstell described his experience at the hospital. “At West Jefferson, there were tents set up outside the hospital, where I was stripped of my clothing, washed with water and several showers, before I was allowed into the hospital,” Wunstell said. “When I asked for my clothing, I was told that BP had confiscated all of my clothing and it would not be returned.” added by: samantha420

Heidi Montag And Spencer Pratt Split

‘It’s a separation for now, not divorce,’ Heidi’s rep tells CNN. By MTV News staff Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Photo: Chris Weeks/ WireImage Heidi Montag has left her husband and “Hills” co-star Spencer Pratt, Montag’s rep confirmed to CNN on Friday (May 28). “Yes, the split is real,” Lexi Vonderlieth said. “Like to say separation for now. As you can imagine it is crazy right now. She’s trying to lay low the next couple days. What I can say is that it’s a separation for now, not divorce.” According to TMZ , which first reported the story late Friday, Montag moved out of the couple’s Malibu home because she was fed up with “all the fake bad press that Spencer controls.” After a not-quite-official Mexican ceremony and opting out of courtroom nuptials, Heidi and Spencer tied the knot in April 2009 at a lavish wedding in Pasadena, California, in front of 200 friends and relatives. While a lot of controversy has surrounded the couple — including their tumultuous stint on “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” and Heidi’s extensive plastic surgery — their devotion to each other never seemed to waver. But there have been some warning signs recently on Montag’s Twitter page , where she admitted earlier this week that she has “no friends” and wrote: “I am not Heidi Pratt, I am Heidi Montag.” Neither Spencer nor Heidi — who are typically very active on Twitter — have addressed the split on the micro-blogging site since the reports surfaced Friday. Are you surprised that the couple have gone their separate ways? Let us know in the comments. Related Photos Heidi Montag And Spencer Pratt’s Wedding Photos Related Artists Heidi Montag

Admiral Thad Allen states "Top Kill" a work in progress

Post Update: Contrary to what Admiral Thad Allen said on May. 27 that the BP operation “Top Kill” stops oil leak flow, he stated to Wolf Blizter on the CNN program, The Situation Room, also on May 27, Wolf, it's a work in progress. They are pumping mud down the well bore. The hydrocarbons are being suppressed them continue to pump mud down the well. We are waiting to see if — whether or not they can reduce the pressure and have it hold. I would say it is probably a 24 or 36-hour period and they continue to do that and we are monitoring the situation. In reflection of this and the fact that to date “Top Kill” has been a 100% success so far I have edited the original headline: “‘Top kill’ stops oil leak flow in Gulf of Mexico, US Admiral says” end of update Admiral Thad Allen, head of the government's effort to help staunch the oil leak that resulted after an offshore rig collapsed into the Gulf of Mexico, told reporters Thursday morning that BP's latest effort to plug the leak has succeeded, according to the Chicago Tribune (and Los Angeles Times). The so-called “top kill” effort, launched Wednesday afternoon by industry and government engineers in Houston, has pumped enough drilling fluid to block all oil and gas from the well, Allen said. The pressure from the well is very low, but persistent, he said. Once engineers have reduced the well pressure to zero, they will begin to pump cement into the hole to entomb the well. To help that effort, he said, engineers are also pumping some debris into the blowout preventer at the top of the well. Allen said one ship that was pumping fluid into the well has run out of the fluid, or “mud,” and that a second ship is on the way. He said he was encouraged by the progress. “We'll get this under control,” he said. “They've stopped the hydrocarbons from coming up,” National Incident Commander Thad Allen was quoted elsewhere as saying. “They've been able to stabilize the well head, they are pumping mud down it.” Allen repeated his assertion on NPR Thursday morning, but officials close to the spill wouldn't confirm or deny Allen's comments to Reuters. http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0527/breaking-top-kill-stops-oil-leak-flow-gulf-mexi… BP oil spill: 'top kill' live coverage http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2010/may/27/bp-oil-spill-top-kill Live from the Ocean Floor: New Oil Leak Widget Features 'Spillcam' http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/2010/05/newshour-oil-widget-2-including-spil… added by: zichi

The 42-year-old former child actor suffered a head injury during a fall. By Kelley L. Carter Gary Coleman Photo: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images Gary Coleman has undergone emergency surgery and is in critical condition in a Utah hospital, CNN reports. The 42-year-old former child actor was taken to the hospital after suffering a head injury during a fall. The actor’s brother-in-law told TMZ that Coleman is listed in critical condition, saying he was taken from his home in Utah to the hospital around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. TMZ also reported that Coleman had what was thought to be a seizure while doing a TV interview in February for “The Insider.” At the time, sources on set told the website that Dr. Drew was with the actor as part of a panel and helped Coleman until paramedics showed up on the scene. The site also reported that Coleman was hospitalized in January for what might have been a seizure. Coleman’s manager told E! News that “we’re just getting bits and pieces right now, so there’s really nothing to report. If there’s anything to announce, we’ll let you know.” Coleman, who first became famous for playing Arnold Drummond on the TV series “Diff’rent Strokes,” also has a congenital kidney disease and receives frequent dialysis. Coleman had heart surgery last fall that became complicated by pneumonia, his attorney Randy Kester told The Associated Press. The AP also reports that Coleman has lived in Utah since 2005, when he moved there to star in a comic film called “Church Ball,” which is based on the basketball leagues formed by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Coleman and his wife, Shannon Price, met on the set of the film and married in 2007. Share your well wishes with Coleman and his family in the comments.
