Idol Judges Actually Criticize Haley Reinhart!

Haley Reinhart sang Blondie’s “Call Me” Wednesday night, and she certainly nailed the song’s calling card – the “Call me!” exclamations in the chorus. But she botched some notes and despite having all kinds of fun up there on stage, sort of lost her way. So much so that the judges even criticized her! Watch her performance here and see if Reinhart deserved it: Haley Reinhart – Call Me (American Idol) “I didn’t love at the beginning of it,” opined Randy. “I don’t know if it was the song that didn’t do it for me. It just wasn’t a showcase for your voice.” Steven concurred, and Jennifer said that “If I’m going to be honest, I’m going to agree with Randy.” By J. Lo standards, that’s tearing a new one! Will she be in the American Idol bottom three? You tell us.

Rebecca Black, "Friday" to Get the Glee Treatment!

In the music world, being covered by Glee is a sign that you’ve made it and a true honor. Unless you’re Dave Grohl or Kings of Leon, but that’s another story. The Fox hit’s latest adaptation may be a major shark-jumper, though. Rebecca Black’s “Friday,” which just surpassed 100 million views on YouTube due to the fact that it’s the worst song ever, is getting the Glee treatment. Rebecca Black – Friday The song will appear an upcoming episode that centers around prom, and will either be sung by Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet and Mark Salling, or by Salling and returning guest star Jonathan Groff, reprising his role as Jesse St. James. Seriously, this is happening . What do you think? A fun move by a fun show, or, as one critic put it , is a Glee cover of Rebecca Black like a herpes version of chlamydia? Sound off below.

Below is the official trailer for Abudction , starring Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist and Sigourney Weaver. Can Taylor follow the lead of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and hold his own outside Twilight? The clips below suggest that he can and then some. As a high schooler who learns his parents aren’t actually his parents, Taylor Lautner ends up on the run from some seriously sinister government agents. Why are they bent on nabbing him before he finds out the truth about his origins? It’s unclear, but what is clear is that TL could make a great action star:

Casey Abrams Goes Back to Nature, Boy

“It’s hard to find a song that defines me as an artist.” – Casey Abrams These American Idol kids are getting frisky. Like James Durbin , Casey butted heads a bit with producer Jimmy Iovine regarding his selection Wednesday. Jimmy nearly talked Abrams into doing Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” but he went with his gut and that meant channeling a little Nat King Cole. Iovine wasn’t pleased, but the judges give a standing ovation after a intimate, stripped down performance that Casey really put his heart and soul into. Whether “Nature Boy” defines him as an artist remains to be seen. But Abrams fans surely loved this and many people on the fence likely did, too … Casey Abrams – Nature Boy (American Idol) Was it the best of the night? If not, who was? Vote after the jump:

Kobe Bryant Fined, Apologizes For Gay Slur

Kobe Bryant was fined a whopping $100,000 for calling NBA ref Bennie Adams a f*****g f****t the other night, a penalty he plans to appeal. While trying to get the fine reduced is standard protocol, the L.A. Lakers star says the utterance was NOT standard for him, nor should it be. The NBA great called the president of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organization, and apologized for using the gay slur last night. Kobe Bryant Curses at Ref Joe Solmonese said this after speaking with Bryant: “I applaud Kobe for his swift apology. We had a very sincere conversation in which he expressed his heartfelt regret for the hurt his words caused.” “He told me that it’s never OK to degrade or tease, and he understands how his words could give the impression that this is appropriate. At the end of a difficult day, I applaud Kobe for coming forward and taking responsibility for his actions.” Kobe also told ESPN that his concern is that for those who look up to him “not to take what was said as a message of hate or a license to degrade, or to embarrass or tease, because that’s something I don’t wanna see have happen.”

Lauren Alaina’s "The Climb": Better Than Miley?

Lauren Alaina selected Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” on American Idol because “it’s about a young girl struggling to reach her dreams.” Will Lauren reach hers? The inspirational hit song’s top notes are slightly outside the best part of this aspiring singer’s range, but she does a commendable job of it live, overall. The judges liked it and so, we’re guessing, will voters. In fact, before she even got out there, Jimmy Iovine called her a “much better singer” than Miles. Do you agree? Lindsay Lohan to Star as Victoria Gotti in Biopic?

Is Lindsay Lohan about to land a role that could reignite her career? Today, the actress posed for photographs at a New York City press conference for Gotti: Three Generations , an upcoming movie about the mob family. John Travolta and Joe Pesci will star in the film, with Nick Cassavetes directing. Lindsay has been rumored to be on board as a younger Victoria Gotti. The key word there is rumored. It’s not official, and even though she was on hand today, she refused to answer questions about her potential role. Will Lindsay Lohan bring Victoria Gotti to life on the big screen? A role in a big, prestigious movie like Gotti: Three Generations would give her career – DOA since her 2007 DUI – a boost. But producers may be hedging. When asked what appealed to her about the film, Fiore Films publicist Steve Honig dodged the question for Lohan, calling it premature to discuss her role. Lohan was recently fired from Inferno , the Linda Lovelace biopic, and there’s no way her ongoing legal problems and train wreck status weren’t to blame. Perhaps the Gotti shot-callers are waiting to see how her real life grueling legal saga plays out in court before officially inking her to a deal. Smart move. [Photos: Pacific Coast News]

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry to Call Truce, Finalize Custody Agreement?

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry were back in court today, but unlike previous before a judge, they left having nearly finalized a custody settlement. In a sign that their custody battle may end, Judge Mark Juhas told Gabriel and his camp, “We’re making huge progress. We need to stick with it.” Halle and her lawyers, Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen, went into chambers to talk with the judge. Before that, Gabriel and his lawyers did the same. A settlement conference over Nahla’s custody and visitation is what brought them to court. The major stumbling block has been Halle’s schedule. This takes her out of town from time to time, obviously. From what happened this AM, it looks like Halle and Gabriel are on the verge of a truce. That’s a far cry from a few short months ago, when the two clashed publicly and harshly over not just custody, but their daughter’s race .
