Wow. Sophia Stockton, a junior at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, ordered a textbook called Terrorism: Challenges, Perspectives and Issues for her Spring semester. After flipping through the pages on Monday she “discovered a bag of white powder had fallen to the ground,” the station reports. Fearing the mysterious substance was anthrax, the college brought the bag to the local police department the next day. “I told them white powder was in my terrorism textbook and so I put it on the table and they’re like ‘oh, okay,’ and so he went back and tested,” Stockton told WPTV. “He comes back and says ‘you didn’t happen to order some cocaine with your textbook, did you?’ And I was like, ‘no!’” The police estimated there may have been up to $400 worth of cocaine in the baggie, and officials are investigating where the drugs may have come from, according to WTPTV. Stockton had purchased the pre-owned textbook through Warehouse Deals, an Amazon storefront that offers “deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com’s rigorous standards of ‘new.’” Warehouse Deals guarantees all its items are inspected prior to sale, and Stockton could potentially file a claim that the book was “not the item depicted in the seller’s description,” but the student is choosing to take a diplomatic position. Lawsuits: Cash Money’s Bryan “Baby” AKA “Birdman” Williams And Brother “Slim” Williams In Court, Over Rape Case

Silm and Baby appeared in court this week, to Face a lawsuit from a woman Claiming Cash Money Records was responsible for her getting raped. A College Park woman is asking a judge to make a recording company responsible for an assault committed by one of its employees. Nicole Westmoreland claims she was supposed to be given an opportunity to make a business presentation, but instead she says she was “exposed to illegal drugs and explicit sexual activity” before the act took place. “I was followed into the bathroom, forced inside and I was raped,” Westmoreland said. She identified Alfred Cleveland as the man who committed the assault. He told authorities when they took him into custody that he worked for Cash Money Records. The criminal case has already been handled through a negotiated plea. Cleveland got jail time. Attorney Charles Hodges has a civil lawsuit pending against the record company on behalf of the young woman. Westmoreland claims she was offered $100,000 not to go to police, which she refused. She said the company threatened her life if she refused to drop the case. “That if I didn’t drop it that they were going to kill me,” said Westmoreland in court on Tuesday. Record company lawyer Jim Cox refuted that claim. The defense denies that Cleveland was an employee of that company; they claim he was a friend. “I believe that Brian Williams and Ronald Williams had to know that the rapist was dangerous,” Westmoreland testified. Westmoreland said the incident has forced her to seek treatment at a mental hospital after feeling suicidal. She is seeking unspecified damages. What do you think? Source More On Bossip! ‘Community’ Disappearance Is ‘America’s Biggest Cliffhanger’

Alison Brie told MTV News at Sundance that ‘Community’ is still shooting despite the show remaining off of NBC’s schedule. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Alison Brie Photo: MTV News Greendale Community College’s doors might be closed at the moment, but that doesn’t mean class isn’t quietly in session inside. Late last year, NBC pulled the critically acclaimed but criminally under-watched “Community” from its schedule, with a return date yet to be announced. Some fans were so outraged by the network’s decision that they staged a flash mob outside of NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Center headquarters earlier this month, but to no avail — the show remains on the sidelines to this date. Still, progress is being made on the “Community” set itself, at least. Actress Alison Brie, who stars in the series as the beautiful but quirky Annie Edison, told MTV News that work on the NBC comedy is ongoing despite the show’s disappearance from the network’s schedule. “We’re still wrapping up ‘Community,’ our third season,” Brie told us at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where she was appearing in support of her new film “Save the Date.” Asked about when the show might return, she claimed: “I don’t know! It’s in the air! It’s America’s biggest cliffhanger! I don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re still shooting the third season, so hopefully it’s going to air in March or April.” Meanwhile, if “Community” fans are looking for more Brie in their lives, they don’t need to tune into NBC. Chances are high that the actress will reprise her role as Pete Campbell’s wife, Trudy, on the upcoming season of AMC’s “Mad Men,” returning to airwaves for the first time in over a year on March 25. “You may [see me in more ‘Mad Men’],” Brie assured us about her probable return to the Emmy-winning drama, now entering its fifth season. “You should definitely tune into ‘Mad Men’ this season, because I hear it’s going to be very good.” What do you make of NBC’s decision to pull “Community”? Russell Brand Slides Off Wedding Ring In Pre-Divorce Video

By Jocelyn Vena Russell Brand Photo: Colin MacFarlane / Splash News A little over a month before he announced he would be taking off his wedding ring for good, Russell Brand jokingly took off his band when he announced his college tour. The video announcement, which he (and Katy Perry ) posted in mid-November , seems to be getting some attention thanks to Brand’s pre-split jovial nature about removing his ring and learning about what happens in sorority houses. He opens the clip saying, “Hello Americans, this is a time of terrific change and the perfect time for me to go on a tour.” He then rambles on about American college life, adding, “I don’t know nothing about your college culture. This, for me, is going to be an educational experience. “Now in each of these cases I want to meet people from sororities and fraternities,” he continued. “I don’t know what a sorority is except for the things I’ve seen on Nudevista; that they are sort of sex clubs for women. Fraternities, that’s a bit like the film ‘Animal House’ or ‘Social Network.’ These are the only references I have.” Noting that he hoped to create worlds of “decadence” on the road, he further teased, “We are going to change college life forever. First of all, I’m going to understand it, then we’re going to change it, and then we’re gonna try and understand the new version.” As the video ends, Brand slides off his ring, with this message, “This is going to be a week of revolution, a week of occupation, and, more important, I’m going to learn firsthand about sororities. I’m going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week,” he said about his ring. At the time, his former wife tweeted her support for the shows. In fact, she was the person who tweeted out the video originally. “My [foul] mouthed Hubby @rustyrockets is playing a few mid-west/east-coast shows starting tonight onwards!” she wrote. “SUPPORT!” The video’s resurgence comes just one day after Perry announced she’d no longer attend Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. Music Exec John Atterberry Dies After Shooting

By Gil Kaufman John Atterberry Photo: Facebook Longtime music executive John Atterberry died on Monday, just days after being shot in the face and neck during a rampage on the streets of Hollywood by a crazed gunman. Manager and promoter Atterberry, who was a former vice president at Death Row Records and worked with the Spice Girls, Brandy and Jessica Simpson over the years, was sitting in his car on Friday at a major intersection in Los Angeles when a gunman shot him three times. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Atterberry was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead late Monday afternoon. The gunman, identified as 26-year-old Tyler Brehm, began randomly shooting his gun at the intersection on Friday morning, getting off between nine and 20 shots before police killed him. Atterberry was the only person who was seriously injured in the incident. Brehm was shot by police after witnesses alerted two police officers who were working on a nearby movie set. When they arrived, Brehm was walking down the street with his gun in the air, screaming that he wanted to die, before lowering his firearm when cars began to drive by and firing at them. Atterberry, 40, most recently worked at an event promotions company called Gridlock Group, after getting his start working in the promotions department at the fashion lines Cross Colours and Karl Kani and moving on to Death Row, former home to Snoop Dogg, Tupac and Dr. Dre. Afterwards, he started Mergela Records and Consulting, working with producer Rodney Jerkins and comedian Chris Tucker, as well as founding the music publishing company Infusion Music Group, where he worked with the Spice Girls and Simpson.

Drake Announces 2012 Club Paradise Tour Dates

Young Money MC will kick off 17-city North American tour on February 14 in Miami before heading off to Europe. By Jocelyn Vena Drake Photo: John Shearer/ Getty Images Drake is inviting you to Club Paradise. The Take Care rapper has announced dates for a 2012 headlining tour. Drake’s Club Paradise Tour will kick off on Valentine’s Day (the same day fellow Young Money family member Nicki Minaj drops her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded ) in Miami before circling around 17 cities in North America, with stops in party spots like New Orleans, Austin and San Diego. The tour name pays homage to a track Drizzy dropped back in September. The tour will visit colleges across the U.S. before wrapping up the North American leg on March 11 in San Diego. Drake will then head to Europe for a string of additional dates, according to Pressparty . And Drake isn’t going at it alone. As previously confirmed, he’ll be joined by Hottest Breakthrough MC contenders Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky. “I spent a lot of time out there [in Toronto]; that’s what this album is about,” Drake recently explained. “That’s what I’m gonna showcase. It’s the same thing with the tour: I wanna bring Kendrick, I wanna bring A$AP, those are guys that I love. It has nothing to do with people on my label,” he added. “Tyga’s out, Nicki’s working on an album and everybody else is doing their thing on the road with Wayne or with Wayne in the studio, so I just sort of showcased the music that I happen to love right now, and those are the two guys that I’m bringing out.” “I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out,” Drake revealed to MTV News in October about the decision to play more intimate shows . “But I was just like, I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one.” In addition to a tour, next year Drake and Rick Ross plan to drop the Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) mixtape. “It’s official, the music is most definitely official,” Ross said. “But, you know, me being a boss, I’m trying to find a way that we could put that on the shelves for the world, baby. But it’s most definitely official.” The release rides on the heels of Drake’s chart-topping Take Care , which dropped in November. Dates for Drake’s North American Club Paradise Tour are as follows:

Donald Trump to Moderate Republican Debate

As if the Republican presidential race didn’t already feel like a a reality show, Donald Trump is pairing up with conservative magazine and website Newsmax to moderate a presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 27. “Our readers and the grassroots really love Trump,” said Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy. That they do, hilariously. From an entertainment standpoint, can you not? Greatest. Presidential. Debate. Ever . Trump’s role in the debate , which will be broadcast on the cable network Ion Television, marks another memorable moment in a primary season that has been an unpredictable, publicity-driven, circus-like spectacle for months now. The Donald toyed with running for president earlier this year and ran his mouth about Barack Obama’s birth certificate until he was blue in the face. He ultimately declined against getting into the race and has not endorsed a candidate. The debate, which will not be limited to a specific topic like national security or the economy, is set to happen just a week before the Iowa caucuses, and will be called the Newsmax Ion Television 2012 Presidential Debate. Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman have already declined invitations to participate, with the former bashing the event as beneath the office of the presidency. Herman Cain dropped out of the race yesterday, so he won’t be there either.

During an appearance on Tuesday night’s “On The Record With Greta Van Susteren, ” Sarah Palin went “rogue” again after being asked her thoughts about presidential candidate Rick Santorum saying Penn State should not be allowed to play in a bowl game. Here’s what she said: “It’s not the player’s fault that they have a perverted, former assistant coach. I would like to see the players not suffer more than they have suffered. As for the perp, and perps, though, that allowed the sinfulness to go on as they had allowed in the past, you know, I say about this assistant coach, Sandusky–hang him from the highest tree, I’ll bring the rope. I think it’s pathetic, it’s horrible, it’s atrocious what took place. If it is true that these children were victimized, then he himself and anybody who allowed what he did to go on, they should be the one to suffer, not today’s young players who have been innocent in all of this.” Palin repeated the “hang him from the highest tree and I’ll bring the rope” after Van Susteren asked her to clarify whether she wanted to actually go through the legal process to determine whether Sandusky was guilty, or whether she was — for lack of a better term — going rogue. “Hang him from the highest tree and I’ll bring the rope if he’s guilty of what’s been alleged,” Palin said “If he abused these young children and ruined their lives, unless they get a lot of help, Greta, in order to deal with the victimization that they are now suffering from, he needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law if he is truly guilty.” The video is below, but you have to get all the way to the end to see her make the comments about hanging Sandusky: This broad is truly crazy.
