What Did YOU Do This Weekend? Woman Gives Birth Hours After Completing The Chicago Marathon!!!

So you were complaining about doing the lawn on Saturday, weren’t you? Well, this woman just punked you out. A pregnant suburban Chicago woman felt contractions a few minutes after finishing the Chicago Marathon and gave birth hours later to a baby girl. Amber Miller was nearly 39 weeks pregnant when she started the 26.2-mile race on Sunday morning. The DuPage County woman told The Daily Herald in a telephone interview from her hospital bed that her doctor allowed her to run half the race and walk half the race. Miller says she felt contractions after finishing at 6 hours and 25 minutes. When the contractions became regular she stopped to get a sandwich and then went to the hospital. Her daughter, June, was born at 10:29 p.m. weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Miller says she’s happy but calls Sunday “the longest day of my life.” Geez. That woman is a soldier for real! Source

Rosie O’Donnell: “I Thought My Girlfriend Was A Normal Heterosexual Chick With A Puppy When I First Met Her At Starbucks”

Rosie O’Donnell is still talking about picking up her lil young thang at the Starbucks…”my gaydar was off”.. In an interview set to air Monday on “Nightline,” O’Donnell, 49, discussed how she first met her new girlfriend, gorgeous tech headhunter Michelle Rounds. “I walked into a Starbucks in the summer and she was holding a little puppy,” explained O’Donnell, who was on “Nightline” promoting her new talk show. O’Donnell struck up a conversation because she herself was in the market for a second dog, considering she had just moved to Chicago to film her show. The comedian and talk show host claimed she had no intention of picking up Rounds when she first approached her. “I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl because that’s what she looked like to me,” O’Donnell said. In fact, if O’Donnell had known Rounds, 40, was a lesbian, she claimed she would have been scared off. “I think if I had known she was gay, I wouldn’t have been brave enough to talk to her.” The funny lady conceded that perhaps her ability to pick up on whether a lady is eligible to date was in need of some tuning. Putting it bluntly, she said, “my gaydar was way off.” O’Donnell recently told People just how serious she and Rounds now are, despite her initial misreading of their situation. “I’m in menopause, and I’ve been having really bad hot flashes,” she said. Her therapist, however, had a different opinion on what was warming the comic up. “She said, ‘[It’s] because you’re also in love.’” Source

‘Abduction’ Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know

Before checking out Taylor Lautner’s first post-‘Twilight’ lead role, peruse our handy guide. By Kara Warner Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner in “Abduction” Photo: Lionsgate All right, Taylor Lautner fans: Today is the day you’ve been waiting for! The actor’s action-packed thriller “Abduction” has officially opened. Here at MTV News, we’ve been as excited as anyone for the 19-year-old’s first post-“Twilight” lead role, and we’ve been following the film since it was announced. Take a look through our hand-crafted guide to the John Singleton-directed film, as we present everything you need to know about “Abduction”: A New Action Star Is Born The buzz around the film began way back in February 2010, when Lionsgate Entertainment announced that Lautner would be starring in a film about a young man who sets out to learn who he really is after finding his baby picture posted on a missing-persons website. Shortly thereafter, a slew of name players were added to the cast, including Lily Collins, Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello and Alfred Molina . Just before production began in Pittsburgh, MTV News caught up with Lautner to learn about the intense training and prep work he was doing for the role, which included boxing, fight training, learning to ride a motorcycle and swimming. Selling His Strengths Once production wrapped, the promotion machine ramped up and we got our first look at photos of Lautner on set , in character and in action. One of our best pre-release moments came back in April when we were very lucky to snag an early look at the first official trailer , as well as an exclusive sit-down with Lautner during “MTV First: Taylor Lautner.” We heard trailer commentary straight from the source, as well as the challenges he faced during filming, his kissing scenes with Collins and whether he got any bumps or bruises from all the stunt work. Skills to Pay the Bills It was not long before we caught up with Lautner again in San Diego, during our Comic-Con Takeover, where we learned which seasoned Hollywood pros Lautner looked to for inspiration during filming, why Lautner was so committed to the role and how the film is different from other action thrillers out there. With about a month left before opening day, we got our first look at Lautner’s stunt work , and then we gleaned a few steamy details about a certain kissing scene from Lautner’s leading lady in the film. Collins also revealed key details about her character, Karen, and how she gets pulled into the cat-and-mouse chase with Lautner’s character, Nathan. When we caught up with the entire cast at the film’s premiere, we learned that kissing scenes are as challenging as action scenes , the young actors carried their acting weight as much as the seasoned pros, and everyone had a blast making the film. Oh and that Lautner always makes time for his fans . ‘Avengers’ Star Chris Evans Dishes On Stan Lee Cameo

‘There are very few people I’ve met who have achieved so much and have still maintained this youthful excitement,’ Evans tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Chris Evans Photo: MTV News For a while, Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee was claiming his upcoming cameo in “The Amazing Spider-Man” would be his funniest big-screen turn yet in a series of appearances stretching back to his blink-and-you’ll-miss-it role as a hot-dog vendor on the beach in 2000’s “X-Men.” But Spidey now has some serious competition, as Lee maintains his “Avengers” cameo gave him the opportunity to pop off “probably the funniest line that I’ve had to say yet.” The superhero he gets to deliver it to is Chris Evans’ Captain America, a nerdy triumph that had the actor pumping his fist in mock victory over his fellow Avengers and saying, “It’s great!” Like Lee, Evans wouldn’t reveal the details of the cameo — and, honestly, what would be the fun of knowing beforehand when and how the comic creator will appear? — but he did gush about working with Lee. “He’s an amazing human being,” Evans said while promoting his upcoming legal drama, “Puncture.” “The guy is a living legend. He’s so positive and so upbeat and so energetic and just a nice man. There are very few people I’ve met who have achieved so much and have still maintained this youthful excitement.” This wasn’t the first time the two men have shared the screen. Lee briefly popped up in 2005’s “Fantastic Four” as postman Willie Lumpkin opposite Evans as the Human Torch. “He’s so happy to do things,” Evans told us. “He’s so excited to live his life. He wakes up every day and he’s so excited to be Stan Lee. It’s a great thing that someone can hang on to that after years of dominating.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Avengers.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com .

Adam Sandler Is No ‘Centerfold’ In ‘Jack And Jill’ Drag

Director Dennis Dugan dishes on Sandler playing both title roles and the comic ‘gusto’ of Al Pacino in our Fall Movie Preview. By Kara Warner Adam Sandler in “Jack and Jill” Photo: Columbia Pictures Adam Sandler and director Dennis Dugan have a long history together that includes teaming up on money-making screwball comedies like “Happy Gilmore,” “Big Daddy” and “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan.” Their big-screen antics continue this fall with the November release of “Jack and Jill,” a family comedy that has Sandler playing the role of Jack — and that of his sister Jill — alongside Katie Holmes and Al Pacino, who plays himself. If that sounds like a recipe for ridiculousness, check out what Dugan had to say recently about the hilarity that ensued during production, including what Sandler is like in drag and just how funny Pacino really is. MTV : How is Adam as a woman? Dennis Dugan : Wonderful. He plays this absolutely [straight]; [Jill is] essentially his identical twin sister, so not a centerfold, if I can be diplomatic. MTV : Does she think she’s a centerfold? Dugan : She’s this Bronx spinster, all that that entails in a single, 40-ish woman from the Bronx. She’s a really powerful personality that could be translated as a pain in the ass, depending on who you are, but has a really, really, really nice heart. She just doesn’t understand how annoying she is. MTV : What kind of Adam Sandler movie is this? How does it compare to your other offerings? Dugan : It’s very funny. It’s got a lot of heart. It’s PG and it’s a Thanksgiving/Christmas type of movie and, so far, in tests it appeals all the way across the board. And so if you were saying it was different from a normal Adam Sandler movie, it has a wide appeal to both — to women and boys too. So it plays out pretty equally among all the quadrants, where usually [our movies] are a tiny bit more focused on younger males. MTV : How was working with Al Pacino? Dugan : It was just absolutely wonderful when he said yes. We were delighted and then we were scared. He’s an artist, he wants to be as great as he can possibly be and he doesn’t care what project it is. I saw him on Broadway in “Merchant of Venice” and he has the exact commitment to playing the part of Al Pacino in the movie as he did Shylock. MTV : Would you say that Pacino or Katie Holmes is the more pleasant surprise in the film? Dugan : I wouldn’t say one or the other was more pleasant but it was just delightful. [Katie] is just the nicest human being and the most flexible in terms of working. She had a lot to do with most characters; Pacino had a little less to do in terms of split screens and all of the effects and green screens and all of that stuff. But Katie just has that smile on her face and it’s genuine. And then Al, like I said, we were kind of scared because we didn’t know what his process was but he just dives in, completely commits to everything. Every crazy thing we threw at him, he did, and did it with gusto, and that was nice because he’s delightful and happy and brave and I couldn’t have had a better time. ‘Ghost Rider 2’ Trailer: An Expert Analysis

‘Spirit of Vengeance’ sneak peek has MTV Movies team excited for what’s to come from the Nicolas Cage superhero. By Eric Ditzian and Josh Wigler “Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance” Photo: Columbia Pictures The “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” trailer popped up online late last week, and what else is there to say about it other than Nicolas Cage closes out the new footage by pissing fire? Well, it turns out there’s a heck of a lot left to say, which is why the MTV Movies team jumped into the comic book action for an expert commentary. The trailer begins sweetly, with a score reminiscent of “Lost” and some epic title cards: “He fought the curse … evil will force him … to face his demon.” But any wacky notion that directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who also helmed the “Crank” films, have delivered a kinder, gentler Johnny Blaze is quickly dismissed when the music picks up and the flames flicker to reveal our first look at the new Ghost Rider. It’s a look the directors have spoken with us about at length. “We wanted this black skull, with this gasoline fire and this black, inky smoke to get this real feeling of explosions and fire and heat,” Neveldine said at San Diego Comic-Con . “That’s something we really went for: ‘Let’s feel the heat in this movie.’ ” The grittiness of this Ghost Rider most definitely shines through in the trailer. Charcoal skull? Check. A whiff of gasoline seemingly rising off the screen? Check. Neveldine and Taylor not holding back in this trailer and delivering a full-on look at our hero right off the bat? Check. And they don’t stop there, quickly showing off Ghost Rider’s signature move, the Penance Stare: He looks into your eyes and makes you feel all the pain and suffering you’ve ever inflicted on other people. This is no fairy-tale power. This is not X-ray vision. This is a hard-core demonic power, one which was not played very well in the first film. Even in this quick shot, the Stare looks very cool. Speaking of demonic powers, the trailer got us thinking this film might not just be a sequel to the 2007 original, but to Cage’s “Drive Angry,” the 3-D action flick that had the actor busting out of hell to inflict gory revenge on his enemies. Crazy talk? Sure. But since “Drive Angry” hardly performed well enough at the box office to justify a sequel, we’ll take whatever we can get. We get to see plenty of Ghost Rider here, but the trailer gives us the briefest glimpse of Johnny Whitworth as Blackout. He’s part human, part demon, all bad news. Whitworth is a guy to watch — hardly a household name but one who delivered an energetic supporting role in the largely forgettable “Limitless.” With Neveldine and Taylor in control, there is serious potential for killer fight scenes between Blackout and Ghost Rider. Another character we get a peek at is young Danny Ketch. Comic fans will know him as one of the guys who eventually becomes Ghost Rider. The big departure here is that Danny is a kid. In the comics, he’s a young man. While this film probably won’t turn into a passing of the torch from Cage’s Johnny Blaze to Danny as the next Ghost Rider, it’s nonetheless cool to see filmmakers laying the mythological groundwork. The trailer ends with pure, absurd fun: Ghost Rider declaring that it feels awesome when he pees fire. That’s essentially how Cage feels about the movie as a whole. “The Ghost Rider is just the coolest-looking superhero, and it has to be the one that goes to film and looks the best,” the actor told us at SDCC. “I think they’ve achieved that with this.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com .
