NeNe Leakes: Cast on Glee!

A Real Housewife is about to make a real impact on Glee . NeNe Leakes confirmed today via Twitter that she’s coming on board this Fox hit as a rival to Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester, writing on the social network: Running through the house screaming Gleeeeee! Coach Roz Washington is gonna get that Sue Sylvester! I’m so proud of myself… Running through the house screaming Gleeeeee! Coach Roz Washington is gonna get that Sue Sylvester! I’m so proud of myself. It’s unclear whether or not Leakes will sing on the series, but she’ll be featured because a returning Chord Overstreet – as Sam Evans – will join her synchronized swimming squad. Pitbull to Guest Star on Glee?

This has been quite a year for Pitbull, with his solo work and collaborations with Ne-Yo, J. Lo and others burning up all conceivable music charts and airwaves. Next year, it looks like he’s breaking into acting with a high-profile guest spot. TV Fanatic reports that Pit is in talks to appear on Glee as Santana’s brother. Santana came out of the closet to her parents this season, off screen, but her only family member that we actually met was her grandma, who threw her out. No word on whether she and Pitbull’s as-yet-unnamed sibling are close. In other casting news, Glee is reportedly casting Rachel’s gay dads, while Ricky Martin is coming on board as a Spanish teacher in early 2012, and Gloria Estefan is very close to signing on as Santana’s aforementioned mother. So much for the producers’ promise of less stunt casting in Season 3 …

Nicki Minaj to Judge The X-Factor?

Will X mark the judging spot for Nicki Minaj? Insiders tell The New York Post that Simon Cowell has met with this hip hop star about coming on board The X-Factor this fall as a judge. She would join recently-announced producer L.A. Reid on the panel if she agreed to make the move. “Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She’s sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality,” a source tells the newspaper . “Nicki has a large following and she fits well with the ethos of the show, which plans to usher in a new generation of musical talent.” Auditions for The X-Factor kick off on March 27. This would be an unusual gig for Minaj to accept, considering her current popularity. Most singers join a reality show to revive a career (see Aguilera, Christina on The Voice and Lopez, Jennifer on American Idol ). Other names under consideration include Tommy Mottola, Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole . [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
