After the standard Week One reprieve, it’s elimination time. Dancing With the Stars’ 17th season has assembled a nice blend of reality stars, singers, actors and sports stars young and old (it’s also sparked an age limit controversy ). One man occupied 12th place all by himself after two routines, but with four peeps in second-to-last, we all know anything can happen on the results show. With that said, let’s get down to the results, shall we? The dancer heading exiting stage right this week is … Dorothy Hamill!! Wait … what?! It was shocking enough when Victor Ortiz and Lisa Vanderpump were named the bottom two. But just before one was dismissed, Tom Bergeron brought out Dorothy. “I’ve taken the advice of my spine surgeon and I need to withdraw from the competition. I have an injury that could be irreparable,” Hamill told the crowd. “It would be completely unfair for me to stay in this and have any of these people go home. I wish that I could give it my all but I can’t. It’s been wonderful ride.” That means the bottom two couples, improbably are safe for another week. “All the 11 remaining couples will be back in the ballroom,” Tom said. Be well, Dorothy .
My name is Rebecca, and I never ever thought I would be writing my very own Bieber Experience. It all started when Justin announced he was doing a tour for BELIEVE. My two friends and I were freaking out and he hadn’t even announced if he was going to come to the UK yet. We were planning on camping out to try and get front row tickets for Newcastle UK. A couple of weeks later I was sitting on my laptop, and I went on Justin’s Twitter. I noticed he tweeted the tour dates for the UK tour! I was freaking out before I even clicked them, but soon realized Newcastle wasn’t on the list. I was crying for hours and hours because that was my only hope to ever see him. I rang my friends and we were discussing how we could see him if we traveled down to Manchester. Our parents all said we could. Once I saw the price for the meet and greet I knew I wouldn’t be allowed to buy them but I asked my parents anyways and they said I could buy them. I was SO happy! After a lot of ticket confusion, my friend’s dad told us, “You have meet and greet tickets for Justin Bieber on the 21st February 2013 in Manchester.” We were freaking out and crying in the middle of class! After 6 months of waiting, the day was finally here! We travelled down to Manchester which was about 3 hours. Once we arrived we bought are merch and stood in line. We saw Kenny Hamilton and everyone started screaming. Once everyone was checked in, a man was telling us how we were not allowed to get a single picture with Justin. Me and my two friends were a little upset as one of us wouldn’t be next to Justin, but we carried on freaking out! We then started heading down like 7 flights of stairs to the meet and greet room. We were all standing and then Justin popped his head around the curtain and shouted, “I’m hereee!” Everyone screamed! Luckily me and my friends got single pictures. The man at the curtain told me to go through. I walked into the room and saw Justin standing right there. Believe me, he didn’t even look real. I gave him a hug and he started saying to someone, “You’re in the way of the camera,” and started laughing. It was so fast, but it was the best day of my life! We got out the meet and greet room and everyone was freaking out and crying. We got to our seats in the arena and we were FRONT ROW! Basically Justin sang into my camera so many times! When the show finished, Dan came running out and threw his guitar picks out and I got one! Okay so I never thought in a million years that I would ever get to meet Justin. Things like that do not happen to people like me and I never thought I’d be writing one of these. I already had tickets to see Justin on the 22nd February in Manchester because the Sheffield show got cancelled. I wasn’t meeting Justin so four days before the concert there was a competition on Facebook. You had to enter your name, email, phone number etc and then answer a question about Justin. The prizes were either a meet and greet for the Liverpool show, tickets to see Justin in Manchester, or tickets to see Justin in Liverpool. I entered it thinking “Oh this is just another competition that I won’t win.” It was Wednesday afternoon when I was in the car coming home from the doctors and I got a call from a random number. It turned out to be the competition that I entered on Monday night and the lady said to me, “You haven’t won any of the top prizes but you’ve won tickets to see Justin on the 22nd in Manchester, congratulations.” I was so shocked because I have never won anything in my whole life. I then got an email after the phone call with information about the tickets. After that I was at college doing work, minding my own business when my phone rang. I answered and it was the lady from the competition again. She said, “There’s space for you and a friend to meet Justin, would you like that?” When she said that I just freaked and said, “Yeah I would love to meet him!!” I hung up the phone and started freaking out and it was the day before the concert that this happened. The day of the show I went with my friend and my parents to Manchester. We went to pick up our M&G’s and tickets and then I went to stand with the other competition winners. We stood in our little group for about an hour and then we joined the queue to go down to the meet and greet line. It didn’t hit me that I was meeting Justin after waiting over 3 years. We went and stood in a long line for about half an hour and Dan Kanter started randomly walking down the line so everyone started asking for pictures and I got one with him. Eventually our group went through and I saw Justin standing there. Then it hit me that it was him. We walked over and I was so close to him. We got our picture taken and I looked at him. I didn’t know what to say and he looked at all four of us and smiled and said, “Thank you.” I walked out and I started crying because things like this do not happen to me and now it has it was so worth the wait, even if it was 20 seconds, it was the best 20 seconds of my life. Then it turned out that our seats were 4 rows away from the stage! It was the best day of my life. I could see Justin so close up – it was unreal. Pregnant Kate Middleton and Prince William have escaped dreary, winter London for a babymoon holiday on the ultra-exclusive Carribean island of Mustique. Expecting their first child together, the Duchess, 31, and Duke, 30, are kicking back in a luxury villa with a $30,000-a-week price tag – with her folks! The babymoon is a family affair , apparently. The couple flew out a few days ago to join Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. With Kate completely recovered from the acute morning sickness that plagued the earliest days of her pregnancy, the twosome are ready to party. Well, within reason. She’s still carrying the royal heir(ess). But with Kate Middleton’s due date in July, and her health improved dramatically in the past few weeks, she’s earned a nice, fun babymoon vacation! Not to mention some much-needed family time. As long as there’s no repeat of topless photos that surfaced from their holiday in France – which we doubt, on the secluded island – all is well!

So much for Matt Farmer being crowned the American Idol Season 12 champion. Following a successful audition in Long Beach, Farmer has come out and admitted that he’s one giant liar. That whole tale he told? About being injured in an IED explosion in Iraq? And being diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury? And how the medication he was assigned would supposedly make him sterile, until he ended up fathering a daughter named Cadence who joined him in front of the judges? LIE, LIE, LIE. Matt Farmer American Idol Audition “It was ALL lies,” Farmer admitted to GuardianOfValor.com. “I in fact HAVE lied since a younger age and had a problem with it… “I am EXTREAMLY remorseful and VERY upset that I allowed myself to take from the hard work of the guys that i was deployed with among others. To think that I would go on a national TV show and get away with continuing a lie so big, and so deeply imbedded in my lfe [sic] and brain … Is rediculous [sic]. “Hindsight is always 20/20 … To EVERYONE but more importantly the men I served with, I AM DEEPLY REGRETFUL AND SORRY … I at no time was a sniper, was never deployed to Afghanistan, did a single tour in Iraq, and was never at any time hit or wounded by an IED” Farmer, as you might expect, has been booted from the competition. So that’s one fewer person early favorites such as Ja’Bria Barber and Seretha Guinn need to worry about.
