I guess when Victoria’s Secret tests out a model to walk their runway show and doesn’t end up hiring them for campaigns or catalogs like they are Candice Swanepoel, it’s either because the model isn’t good enough for their requirements, or not desperate enough to get the work, take a pay cut, because you know the Victoria’s Secret girls, despite all the exposure they get from Victoria’s Secret marketing, are not as well paid as all the fashion models who book ALL the major campaigns, and not just one mid-range, Walmart quality, sweatshop made, middle-american underwear company. That’s why Victoria’s Secret hires all these chicks from the third world, they like the exposure and the Green Card, hoping to use it as a stepping stone, not unlike your Filipino cleaning lady, except maybe 3 feet taller ad more luxurious. That said, she’s working for the competition, who probably pay more and are probably a bigger deal to work with than Victoria’s Secret, despite what you probably think, and I think she looks tasty as fuck, even if I prefer WHEN SHE MODELS HER NIPPLES
Sailing gold medalist Andrew “Bart” Simpson has died. The 72-foot-long sailboat he was on capsized in San Francisco Bay. He was practicing for the upcoming America’s Cup with the Swedish team Artemis Racing. He was just 36 years old. Simpson was reportedly trapped under the boat for 10 minutes. Another sailor involved in the wreck was injured. The rest of the 13 people on the crew were fine. He won one Olympic gold medal and one silver medal during his career. “The entire Artemis team is devastated by what happened,” CEO Paul Canyard says in a statement. “Our heartfelt condolences are with Andrew’s wife and family.”
Director Bryan Singer has tweeted a new X-Men: Days of Future Past set photo. The pic features James McAvoy as Professor X , with a much scruffier look than First Class . Check it out: Days of Future Past takes place in both the original timeline and the prequel timeline from First Class . As such, cast members from both installments are joined in the new film. Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, and Peter Dinklage also star. Days of Future Past is set to premiere July 18, 2014.
Many viewers had her tagged as the next American Idol champion, but Angie Miller received the bad news last night along with her large fan base: The talented piano player has been voted out of Season 12 a week before the finals. “It’s bitter and sweet,” Miller told reporters soon after learning her fate. “I definitely thought that with the whole hometown visit and how huge social media has been… did feel kind of confident that I was going to make it.” Angie Miller Farewell Song Still, Miller harbors no resentment, not considering the talents of Candice Glover and Kree Harrison . “They’re both incredible,” she said of her competition, adding that the upcoming finale will be an “amazing night.” As for her future? American Idol viewers were treated to a pair of surprises last night: No finalist was eliminated . Lee DeWyze performed on the results show. No, seriously! That guy is still around! Tiger Woods’ hit perhaps the unluckiest shot in the history of golf yesterday, and to add insult to injury, may have inadvertently committed a rules violation to boot. On Friday at the Masters, Woods’ third shot to the Par-5 15th green was DEAD on the money, only it hit the flag stick and ricocheted back into the water. It was an amazing fluke. Take a look: Tiger Woods Hits Flag at Masters Woods proceeded to take a drop, knock it close and save bogey, remaining in contention heading into the weekend, just three shots behind Jason Day. The legality of said drop is in dispute, however. Under the rules, Woods could either hit from the same spot, a designated drop zone, or anywhere on the line between the hole and the point where the ball entered the hazard. During an interview after his round, Tiger stated that he hit the second approach from two yards behind the original spot, which could lead to his disqualification. Woods declined to hit from the drop zone, because it was muddy and not as flat as he’d like. “So I went back to where I played it from,” he told CBS. “But I went 2 yards further back and I took, tried to take 2 yards off the shot of what I felt I hit [the first time]. And that should land me short of the flag.” It did, and he drained the putt for a respectable bogey. But if officials decide he did not drop the ball “as nearly as possible” to the original spot, he could be penalized or even DQ’d from the Masters. Seriously. The incident is currently under review by tournament officials, but CBS replays suggest he may have been closer to the original spot than two yards. Hopefully Lindsey Vonn ‘s BF won’t get the boot. UPDATE : Tiger was assessed a two-shot penalty for the illegal drop. He remains in the competition but is now just one under par, five shots off the lead .
