The Made in America Festival , planned for September 1st and 2nd in Philly, announced today that Jill Scott, Drake, Chris Cornell, and Run-DMC would all be joining the already stellar line-up. A first round of performers for the Jay-Z curated Budweiser Made in America Festival…Odd Future, D’Angelo, Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Santigold, Dirty Projectors, X, Pearl Jam and more are set to play. Jay will “headline the first night.” Tickets go on sale today at 10AM EST. Join this event on Facebook to get a presale code for a limited run of 99 dollar tickets. This concert will benefit United Ways in Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Lancaster County, PA. A primary goal of this music festival is to have a positive impact on the communities involved. I’d given up all hope of meeting Justin Bieber. After school on Tuesday 17 th of July I was even texted my friend telling her we should get together on Thursday and cry because we weren’t seeing our idol. 5 minutes later she got the call. The call that changed our lives. She called me up soon after and broke the news that she had just won double passes to Justin Bieber’s private concert in Auckland on Thursday 19 th of July. I could hardly believe it. My mum quickly got flights sorted to fly out on Wednesday night. The next day I was buzzing about going to see my idol in concert to everyone at school. After school, my friend called me up and told me Justin’s flight would be landing 20 minutes after ours. We knew we wouldn’t see him but we wanted to see his crew. 40 or so minutes later she calls me up for a second time telling me Skinny Mobile had just called her again and she had just won Meet and Greet tickets. I was in the middle of the street at the time and everyone was looking at me funny, but what did I care in 24 hours I was going to meet my idol, the boy that changed my life. That night we flew out to Auckland from Wellington. We got in early so we had enough time to get to the international airport. There weren’t many people there when we got there, but Guy from Jono and Ben at Ten was there and I was in the background of their show. We didn’t end up seeing Justin or any of his crew, and went home at 12:30am. The next day we got up early and took the train into the city. We walked up a really steep hill to get to Justin’s hotel. There were a bunch of Beliebers outside the back chanting for Justin to come down. My friend and I stayed for a couple of hours before we decided to leave because nothing was happening. We went to the Skinny meeting place and got ready to head down to the venue. We all walked down Queens Street shouting chants about Bieber. We got to the Cloud (where Justin played in a small room out the back). We waited ages until we got let through the gates. Then we waited even longer to see Justin. Justin before 4:30pm we got let inside the cloud as the rest of the fans went down the side to another door. Me and the 12 others who were at the meet and greet, including two guys were shaking. We saw Moche (Justin’s bodyguard, otherwise known as White Kenny) and he waved to us. Then as we were waiting for to see Justin, we saw Justin’s other body guard Kenny and gave him a hug. Kenny then led us into the meet and greet room. We went in as 4’s to see Justin and my group was the last (@kristieluvzjb (me) @Dare2Dream14 (My friend) @ThatJustinKidd and @BieberAdventure (Other two girls with us). All four of us walked in, stunted. Justin had his arms out for a hug so I was the first to move in and gave him a tight hug around his waist. The other girls then gave him a hug while I was still half on him. He then turned us around for a photo. That’s me on the left right next to him. My ring then got caught in my friend’s hair, who was on the opposite side of Justin. I swore in front of Justin, but not like he cared he just simply replied “It’s all good” and rubbed my back and gave me another hug. We all said “I love you” and “Thank You” and he told us he loved us too. We then walked out and went up the stairs. Breaking out into tears of complete joy, that we had just met our idol. We got to stand at the front for Justin’s concert as the others hadn’t been let in yet. Then everyone came in and I thought I was going to die! There was so much pushing. Justin came out and we had immediate eye contact for a while. I didn’t know what else to do but to stare at him. He started the concert and sung Take You (which was a live debut), ALAYLM, Fall, Thought Of You (also live debut), Die In Your Arms, Catching Feelings, Baby, AATW, OLLG and Boyfriend (Bluesy version). During Baby he touched my hand. The OLLG (One Less Lonely Girl) was standing right next to me and my friend, (@ibieber_heart). Also during OLLG Justin touched my hand and looked me in the eyes. Justin left the stage and Dan (Justin’s gutairst) came over to where I was standing and gave his guitar pick to the girl next to me, but I touched his hand. The show finished and I was actually hyperventilating! It was a dream come true! The next day we went to Justin’s hotel again. We had luck with seeing him as just before he heading to the airport he stopped outside his hotel to greet his fans . They told us that if it got too dangerous they would send him back in, which they did. Justin was only out for 2 minutes before he got mobbed and sent back inside. But it was an amazing two days. My name is Hayley (19) and I met Justin on the 19th of June in New Zealand . My friends woke up early in the morning and made our way to his hotel at 8am. There was about 50 girls already there even though it was a school day. As we waited, sang and chanted, more and more girls, media and paparazzi began to show up. It had been hours yet Justin hadn’t even at least waved from his hotel window. We kept chanting until our throats were sore. At about 3pm a dark van parked putside the entrance and soon a big police van showed up too. Security starting pushing everyone behind the barriers. He was coming out soon they said! Everyone was pushing each other to get to the front of the barriers, and we were all so anxious and excited. People began jumping the barriers and everyone was crowding around the van, while security tried to move everyone back. No one would budge. It seemed the hotel didn’t have enough security to handle the huge crowd of 250+ people. The van started to leave so a group of 20 of us chased after it thinking it must be picking up Justin at the back entrance now. As it pulled up I saw Allison, Dan and Scrappy get into the van. I said Hi and they chatted with us for a little bit. Then the van left. Apparently Justin had snuck out a side entrance with Selena. I felt so disappointed, I could cry. I’m Francisca from Chile and I met Justin on October 15th on the 2011 World Tour. First of all, I’ve never seen the craziness over tickets because of Justin. The page to buy tickets on the internet failed. My cousin and I were in line for hours waiting to buy a ticket in the store and we couldn’t cause they had to close, every girl cried, we were all disappointed. The next day I was trying on the internet and finally I got the tickets to see Justin in concert. We were so happy. Days later, a contest was announced by a record label where you could meet Justin. I signed up for my sister, my cousins and I, just once. My cousins didn’t even want to enter the contest cause they thought they’d never win. My name is Sabrina, I’m 15 years old and I live in Rome, Italy. One year ago, before Justin came in Milan a site that gives daily news about him announced a competition. It was March 20th 2011 when the site announced the contest. I was in my bedroom listening Justin’s music when I knew about the contest. You had to insert the SIAE code behind ”Never Say Never: The Remixes”, Justin’s CD that was released then. The site said about the competition: Justin Bieber is coming to Milan with the My World Tour! Want to meet him? The dream could become reality. On April 4th they would choose 30 lucky participants who’d win a meet & greet and a ticket for the concert on April 9th. I have always considered myself the best unluckiest girl in the world. I did not think that the ”never say never” really existed…until that day. I entered the code and I began to hope. If I won I would be one of 30 people in ALL ITALY! On April 4th I held open my email all day, but I had not receive a reply and it was time for dinner. My best friend was at my house, I kept refreshing my email again, but my mum called me and my best friend for help for dinner. My Bieber experience took place on July 14th 2012, it was the best day of my life. It all started in May when I found out that Justin would be in Malaysia for MTV World Stage. In order to win passes, we had to play a game on their website. I played the game everyday, 3-4 hours everyday for 8 days. And finally, on the 8th day, I got my passes. I was screaming with joy, I was glad to be able to see my idol perform again. After I won my tickets, I decided that I was going whatever I can to meet him. I made videos, I tweeted Justin and the crew, I DM-ed him, etc. My friends even helped me tweet him and they sent the link to my videos to him and the crew but it didn’t workout. About 3 weeks later, Universal Music was organizing a “Girlfriends Day Out.” They were giving out passes for Justin’s press conference here in Malaysia. I was so upset that I wasn’t able to go. But that didn’t mean that I would give up. About two weeks before the concert, I was giving up. I knew I wasn’t going to meet him and I got very upset. A week before World Stage, MTV was doing roadshows and they were giving out passes and also meet and greets. The roadshow was for two days and I attended both days. And even at the roadshow I didn’t win. I checked the MTV website daily and I found out they were giving out meet and greet passes through an online contest. All I had to do was answer 10 questions about Justin and write a 250 word essay about why I deserved to meet him. I entered as many times as possible using my Facebook account, my sisters’ Facebook account and also my friends’ Facebook account. The contest was about to close on July 9th, just a few days before World Stage. I came home from school and my mum tells me she had a surprise for me. I was being sarcastic and said, “What surprise? I won?” and she said yes. I won two press conference passes and two meet and greets. I immediately started screaming and crying. I couldn’t believe it. All of my hard work had paid off! I called all of my relatives and they were so happy for me. Finally, Saturday arrived. I woke up at 5 am and I got ready. It was time to meet my idol. We (my sister and I) arrived at the hotel where the press conference was supposed to take place. We waited for about 3 hours before we could go into the press conference room. I was so excited! The press conference was only supposed to start at 11 but I made my sister take me earlier. I met so many other amazing Beliebers as well. After we registered our names and we were actually allowed to enter the hall where the press conference was to take place, everyone ran for their lives to get the best seat. We waited for about 2 hours for Justin in the hall. He was running a little late. We waited and waited. All we could talk about was how excited and grateful we were to get this opportunity! Suddenly, we saw Scrappy and Dan walk in the door, everyone started screaming, “OMG, OMG! JUSTIN’S HERE!” The minute they walked in, the host announced that they’ll be starting soon. I kept looking out for Justin just in case he walked through the doors. From the corner of my eye, I could see Kenny on stage. They were setting up. And before we knew it, the lights went off. And the man himself, Justin Drew Bieber, walked on stage. I will never forget the excitement that I felt. He did an acoustic set for everyone. I was the only one in my section who was going crazy. I made a poster that said, “Marry Me?! I love you,” and while he was singing “Die In Your Arms,” he looked at me. We made eye contact a couple of times, I couldn’t believe it. Alfredo even stood in front of my section and he looked at me and WINKED! Just to make sure he was staring at me, I waved at him and he waved at me! I just couldn’t believe that this was happening to me. After he had finished with the interviews, it was time for the meet and greets. Those who who wore the purple tags were asked to leave the room. And those who had the red tags were asked to line up by the stage. We had to wait for about 20 minutes because Justin was doing some round table interview. I did not mentally prepare myself to meet Justin because I kept thinking I was dreaming. My group was the first group to walk up on stage to meet him. There were ten people in the group because they had to get it done fast because they were running out of time. Moshe is such a sweetheart, he actually smiled and said hi to me. Allison was there too, and it was her birthday. When I saw her, I was like, “HI, ALLISON! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” She just smiled and said thank you. I couldn’t believe my eyes, Justin was standing right in front of me. We took a picture and everyone rushed to hug him because our time was so limited. I remember just grabbing him and giving him a hug. All I could remember was feeling his arm around my waist and the way he smelt. I couldn’t say anything to him, I was just speechless. The second I heard that Justin was coming to Sydney for his Believe Promo Tour , I began to freak out. Justin rarely comes here, and I knew I had to utilize this incredible opportunity. There were many competitions to win tickets to see Justin perform live – but unfortunately, I didn’t win any, despite entering daily for all of them. I began to DM and tweet the member’s of Justin’s crew on Twitter, asking if they could help me in any way. And, unbelievably, I got a response from one of them. He DM’d me “I can get you tickets to Justin’s show in Sydney.” I immediately began to cry, and I phoned my best friend in shock to tell her the exciting news. I couldn’t believe that I actually had tickets to see Justin perform live for the first time. The day finally arrived, and my friends and I spent the entire morning stalking Justin ALL over Sydney, but unfortunately, with no luck. But we didn’t mind too much – we were going to be seeing Justin perform that night, and we met so many lovely beliebers! In the late afternoon, we went to the meeting point and boarded the buses, which took us to the secret location where Justin would perform. We finally arrived, and walked across a red carpet, inside the venue. My friends and I ran to the very front of the area and we managed to get standing spots at the very front of the pit! After a reasonable wait, Justin came on stage. I couldn’t believe how flawless he looked in person, and when he began to sing, I was so overwhelmed to be hearing Justin’s incredible voice, in person. I took videos and photos of Justin performing, and during “Die In Your Arms,” I yelled out “I’LL DIE IN YOUR ARMS” and Justin looked in my direction, and gave me a huge grin (I caught it on video). In the middle of his performance, I saw Alfredo Flores, and I managed to catch his attention. My friends and I gave him our gift for Justin – a cowbell. Alfredo laughed, and put it in his bag, promising that he would give it to Justin. Later on, he tweeted me that Justin had it, and he had been playing with it all night. And after that – Dan Kanter threw his guitar pick into the crowd, and I caught it! After Justin’s INCREDIBLE acoustic performance, my friends and I rushed to the side of the hall, and found Scrappy and Moshe, whom we got photos with. We also found Kenny, and had a short conversation with him. Two of my friends had meet and greets to see Justin and I accidently called one of them during the session. My name is Katherine and my love for Justin started a long time ago. It all started when I saw JUSTIN BIEBER in his first official video, “One Time.” I totally felt in love with him, I became his fan (belieber) since 07/07/09. I couldn’t believe how much I loved his music, his covers, etc. I had never felt that way for any other artist, it was an amazing feeling so I also wanted to go to one of his concerts!
