Okay, we finally admit it: Justin Bieber is more popular than we are. The artist achieved a long-awaited goal last week, 25 million Twitter followers, actually blowing past the mark by a few thousand and thanking his fans in the process. “25 sittin on 25 mill #drakelyrics #motto,” Biebs said to his Beliebers. Justin, of course, remains insanely popular even in the face of a few recent hiccups. He placed other motorists in danger earlier this month when he pushed down on the gas pedal during a paparazzi chase , and he was also sued by a woman who claims his concert effects were too loud. The next milestone for Biebers? 30 million! Can he hit it before the end of 2012? Stay tuned and find out, folks!
I’m Brittany and I’ve been a HUGE fan of Justin Bieber since 2009 , when he released his song ‘One Time.’ I’ve tried so many radio contests, online contests, trying to win tickets to his concerts, and even standing in 40 degree weather for 7 hours all to try and meet him. So, after three years, you would think I would give up, right? Wrong. I kept trying. On Tuesday, I decided to check the bieberfever website for any contests, so once again, I would lose….or at least I thought that’s how it would go. Turns out, there was a contest to see Justin in a Fuse interview on June 21 at the Museum of Natural History. I knew I had to attempt to win again! I e-mailed Gotham Casting, the people who were choosing the winners, and I wrote why I was such a huge fan and answered other questions they had. I was very negative about the whole thing. My mom kept telling me to not be so negative because maybe it will actually be my chance to see him in person. I decided I would stay positive. The next day, I went to my friends house and decided to check my e-mail. As I was scrolling down, I saw an e-mail from Gotham Casting!!!! I started spazzing out! I clicked on it and they congratulated me for winning and that I was going to see Justin live at his Fuse Interview! I was crying like crazy and couldn’t believe that I would finally see Justin in person. I called up my best friend and we completely flipped out. I could barely sleep Wednesday night cause I was just way too excited for Thursday to come. Well, finally it was Thursday! Gillian and I went to the Museum at around 4:30 and we waited in line for 4 hours until they finally let us in to where Justin would be. I just couldn’t believe that this moment was actually happening. At 10:00PM, they began the show. Justin Bieber began to walk down the stairs and I just completely broke down. I started hysterically crying and felt like I was going to pass out. It was honestly the greatest time because I waited THREE years for this and I never thought this moment would ever happen to me. The show was amazing! During the breaks, Justin would sing some of his songs from Believe, like “Love Me Like You Do” and “Catching Feelings.” He even started singing “Call Me Maybe” and then he began dancing in his chair. It was so cute and I was so close to the stage. I was literally 5 feet away from him! I screamed “Justin!!!!” and he looked at me and I just got the biggest smile on my face. This night was seriously the greatest night ever! I continued to never say never and dreamed big. No one should give up on trying to see him in concert or meeting him because it will happen one day! Our Bieber Experience was on June 15th, 2012 and June 18th, 2012. We wanted to go to the Today Show so bad but my mom didn’t know if she was able to get us passes. The day before the concert, we got a call saying we have 3 VIP passes to the Today Show. Even when you have passes, you still need to get there early. We got to 30 Rock at about 3:00am on Friday morning. We were about the 5th person in line! We couldn’t believe what was happening. We waited forever until he finally came out to do his soundcheck. Before that, Scooter came out. He had to tell us not to pull on Justin because he could get hurt. He was telling us to listen when he looked right into my camera. We were in the centre/front row and Justin looked amazing. All the other girls around us weren’t as crazy as us. I (Juliana) was freaking out when he came to the center. I touched his abs when no one else was looking and then he looked straight down at me, smiled and lifted his shirt up. I honestly thought I was going to faint. I grabbed his hand a bunch of times and touched him a billion times. It was so much fun. After the Today Show we realized you can never see Justin too many times. We found out about Justins “secret” show at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. We knew you had to wait online at Macy’s Herald Square to get the tickets to the show so we got the tickets. When we got into the theatre, everyone was rushing in and it was super crowded. As we were being pushed, we heard someone say to us, “Excuse me ladies.” We looked up and it was Alfredo Flores! We couldn’t believe it was him. We asked for a picture and he said of course! We got our seats and we had really good seats! While waiting for Justin to come out, we were getting bored so we went into the lobby. It was totally empty except for one person. Kenny Hamilton! We asked for a picture and I asked if he said he remembered me from the Christmas Tree Lighting! I was freaking out. Towards the end of the concert, all the dancers and crew came out to thank us for coming. The night after was the MTV Special where Justin sang “Die In Your Arms”. My two friends were at the concert and I wasn’t. They saw Dan and were yelling his name but he wouldn’t answer. Then when they yelled,”DAN DO YOU KNOW JULIANA?!” And he said, “Yeah were friends!” When they told me this I couldn’t believe it! Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe was detained in Prague this week. He could face 5-10 years in prison for an altercation at a 2010 show that allegedly left a fan dead. Reports indicate the incident leading to the arrest of Blythe (full name D. Randall “Randy” Blythe) involved a man repeatedly rushing the stage from the crowd. He was ejected from the stage and later died of head injuries, according to WTVR, the CBS News affiliate in Lamb of God’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Lamb of God canceled a show at the Rock Cafe in Prague Thursday after the singer was brought in for questioning; reports differ as to what happened next. Some sources say Blythe was arrested and charged with “the crime of bodily harm of 4th degree and resulting in the death of a fan.” The band’s rep denies this. Randy’s brother, Mark Blythe, told WTVR that if manslaughter charge is actually filed, it is “bogus and outrageous and will be dropped immediately.” The band tweeted the hashtag #FreeRandyBlythe late Thursday. Blythe deleted his once extremely active personal Twitter account earlier this summer. Maria Ferrero, the Grammy-nominated band’s publicist, told MTV News that Lamb of God’s management will not comment in full until Monday. However: “As no formal charges have yet been made and the case is only in the investigation stages, it would be premature to make an official statement filled with false truths or innuendos.” “Having said that, management wished to address today one false piece of information that has been included in many of the news stories released so far.” “Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It all started on April 28th, 2012 when I came to NYC to look for Justin. I am from Endicott, New York and I live about 4 hours away, but I don’t care because it is for Justin. I came up looking for Justin because my friend told me where he was staying, so I went to his hotel and I waited for him. There were only about 15 people there so I thought for sure he would stop. I waited about an hour and none of us could figure out which way Justin would come out of. Justin’s driver pulled into the garage in the back of the hotel so we went there hoping he would stop. It was 12:44 pm and the garage started going up. All of a sudden Justin’s car was pulling out and HE WAS IN IT!!! He rolled down the window and took pictures with all of us. He told me he loved me and it was amazing! It was a GREAT day. Then on Friday, June 15th, 2012 I went to the Today Show because I had fan passes. I could barely see him and it was so upsetting. After the concert me and my friend went inside Rockefeller Plaza, where all of Justin’s people were leaving out of. I got a picture with Alfredo, Big Sean, DJ Tay James, Justin’s one blonde dancer, and Scooter Braun. Justin left right after the Today Show and went to Toronto. I drove home after the Today Show and thought, I will never meet Justin again, and that was a once and a lifetime chance, and it will never happen again. When Justin came back on Monday I couldn’t go to his signing or the concert at Apollo because I had testing. My life was terrible. On Tuesday June 19, 2012 I decided I will go to NYC that night to try and meet Justin again. That night I went to NYC after my Bio regent. I got to his hotel at 9:40 pm and 10 minutes later Justin ran into his hotel and nobody saw him. I was almost in tears thinking he isn’t coming out and I was so upset. Luckily Justin’s car was waiting outside and I thought maybe he will come back out. All of us waited about 5 minutes and Justin came out. He walked into the crowd and took two pictures with me. I accidentally covered the flash so it didn’t come out that good so I asked Justin for another one, he said sure! Then he left. I decided that I was going to wait and stay and try to get him again. Later that night I got a picture with Ryan Good. Everyone kept leaving during the night because everyone thought he switched hotels. Well I ended up waiting by myself. It was 3:30 in the morning on June 20th, 2012 when Justin’s car pulled up in front of the hotel. Justin came out and he took a picture with me! He then started walking away and he rolled up his sleeve and goes, “Do you like my new tattoo? That’s where i just was, getting it done.” I said yes and he was so nice! I WAS BY MYSELF!!! I drove home that day. When I got home I got an email saying that I got chosen to go to the Fuse recording . I called my friend and asked her to come up with me tomorrow to go see Justin. On Thursday June 21st, 2012 me and my friend drove up to NYC to go to the Fuse. When we got there, we waited in line. I asked Justin a question during the Fuse and he answered it. He was so nice and sweet. Later that night after Fuse, me and my friend went to Justin’s hotel and were hoping to meet Justin. Sadly Justin left and went to a dentist appointment and we didn’t see him. We met Ryan Good, Alfredo, and Scooter that night luckily. That week Justin’s album came out I went to NYC THREE times, driving four hours each way! I am so thankful and happy that I was fortunate enough to meet Justin and have the experiences I did with him. I remember I used to be that girl that would read these experiences and cry because I wanted to meet him so badly, and now I am one of those girls writing this experience . My names Kelly and finally after 3 years, I have a Bieber Experience. So unforgettable. It all started on June 14th on a trip to camp out for Justin on the Today Show with my bestfriend Miranda. After arriving, setting up our area and a couple hours of downtime, we saw Maxwell from Q102 on the corner. I ran up to him and turns out he had just come from lunch with Justin. After about 10 minutes or more of begging, he finally told a small group of us he was doing an interview at Sirius XM. Miranda and I GPS’d it and we were off. Having no idea where we were going, we passed it but on our way back I spotted the place Justin had lunch. Next to it was about 5 black Escalades and decided that was probably Justin. As I turned the corner, I spotted a group and coming out was Kenny. I ran faster than I ever have in my life and got there right in time. Justin was getting in his car and I got right in front and couldn’t get anything out of my mouth expect, “OHMYGOD OHMYGOD.” All I could think was I need a to get a picture (which really didn’t work so well since I could stand still) but I did get one, it’s really blurry but it’s him. The only think I could do was stick my hand and he held it and that’s when I really lost it. I started crying and all he did was smile and laugh . For about a half hour, all I could do was cry. I couldn’t believe after 3 years it really happened. And so unexpected. That just makes it so much more special I think. Although I didn’t get a picture or get to tell him all the things I’ve ever wanted to, I still wouldn’t change a thing. That whole night I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I didn’t think anything would be able to beat that and it really made camping out in the streets of NYC worth the wait for seeing him on the Today Show. The next morning they started moving us for the concert. I was pretty far back so I didn’t expect to get close (and I was right) when the concert started, I couldn’t see him at all for the whole concert which was upsetting but I still felt lucky to be there. On Tuesday, June 26, Katy will be hitting the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to premiere “Part of Me,” and MTV News will be there to talk to the star. But before Perry walks the carpet, she is treating fans to a special live performance on the famed Hollywood Boulevard. Our names are Elana and Billie. June 15, 2012 was single handedly the best day of our whole entire lives. Justin Bieber had been scheduled to be at the Today Show , so we went to the city on June 14th, hoping that we might see him at his hotel or around town. We also stopped by the Today Show and it was so crowded that even if we had camped out, we wouldn’t have had a good view of the stage. We went home and the next day we woke super early, took the 6:50 train, and headed to the Today Show. We were in the back of the stage but we got to watch the performance on the TVs they had set up and we had speakers next to us and he did such an AMAZING job! We left the concert a little early to go to the hotel we heard he was staying at. When we were at the hotel, the security guards swore to us that he wasn’t staying there. We were so upset, we left the hotel and we were gonna leave the city. We walked to the Rockefeller Plaza with little hope that we could still meet him. Luckily we saw like 10 people in Justin Bieber shirts standing outside the parking lot at the plaza, so we went over to them and asked them what they were waiting for. They said that they didn’t think Justin left the plaza yet, so we stayed outside with them for around two hours. After two hours the police were all saying that he’s coming out in five minutes. WE WERE FREAKING OUT!!! All of a sudden a black car came out of the parking lot driving like 90mph. He waved to us but then quickly kept driving. Without even realizing what was going on, we sprinted down the street. The police officers had to stop traffic since we were gonna get hit by cars and lucky for us, his car got stopped at a red light. We ran to the car and started banging on the window. He rolled down the window, grinned at us and said hi. We told him how amazing he did at the Today Show and he said thank you. We got pictures with him and we were the only people to get pictures. When the light switched to green, he rolled the window back up and drove away. We literally sprinted to the sidewalk and broke down in tears. We were screaming and crying. So many people came up to us and asked us to see pictures. An interviewer came up to us and interviewed us for the NBC documentary that’s going to be on TV Wednesday and Thursday. It was actually the best day of our lives. Never say never, one day you will meet Justin, I promise.
