Jones tells ‘RapFix Live’ he wants the Harlem group’s comeback album to roll out with a reality show documenting their recording process. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Jim Jones on “RapFix Live” Photo: Fans have waited eight years for a third Diplomats album, what’s another few months? If Jim Jones has his way, the long-awaited Diplomatic Immunity 3 will be out by the end of the year. “Real soon; might be the fourth quarter,” the Dipset Capo said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” on June 13. Long after the group broke up , Jim, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey announced two years ago that they would be coming back together and dropping a new album. The crew did reunite onstage this past weekend as Drake’s special guests during his concert at Jones Beach in New York, but the LP is still a ways off. “Me and Killa has been working diligently together and recording and things like that. So, everything is moving not as fast as everybody else would want it to, but it’s moving just on time for us,” Jim said, referencing he and the group’s lead MC Cam’ron. “The Diplomat album is definitely in the works.” There is a single in the pipeline, Jim briefly spoke on the Lil Wayne-assisted “Have You Ever Made Love to a Diplomat,” but didn’t say when fans will be able to hear it. If Jones had his way, the roll-out for the Harlem group’s comeback album will begin with a fall reality show documenting the quartet’s recording process. The program would then lead up to a December release for the LP. It’s all very hypothetical at the moment, Jones said. Group member Juelz Santana has been facing some legal trouble after a 2011 arrest following a raid on his New Jersey recording studio. He was charged with four counts of narcotic and weapon offenses. “They charged me with the firearms,” Elz said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” last June. “They didn’t charge me with trying to sell, but they put out a statement making it seem like I was selling weed out of my studio, which is preposterous. Dime bags? I got a phantom and a Bentley outside of my studio; I’m not selling dime bags. That sh– is just crazy.” The drama has affected Santana’s musical output, but Jones insists that he’s been working. “It’s hard when you have a break after another break and things start to pile up on you,” Jim said of his buddy. “In this past two months he’s been recording like a beast, so I know for sure he has like 30-something songs done.” What are your expectations for the Diplomats reunion album? Drake’s homie Meek Mill says he didn’t throw any bottles during the W.i.P. club brawl that got the venue shut down and injured Chris Brown last week. Meek says Chris didn’t throw any either, and denies there is any lingering beef with the R&B singer or his camp. Mill told XXL (dot) com the following: “Chris and Drake, them two was there, but it’s other people that be around that take sh!t to the next level … Things just happen in the club.” “I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of sh!t. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.” Asked if he threw a bottle at Brown, Meek replied, “F*%k no.” Mill, who was hanging at Drake’s table during the June 13 incident, was rumored to be an instigator in the fight (and to have banged Rihanna ). Meek claims, at least, that he spoke with Chris Brown on the phone after the brawl and both sides agreed they had no problem with the other.

‘We saw his face — his actual personal face,’ one fans gushes to MTV News after Beliebers camped out for days before the set. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Stacey Sommer Justin Bieber performs on “Today” Photo: Thousands of Justin Bieber fans waited out in the rain, cold, heat and sun for days prior to his “Today” show appearance on Friday (June 15) to catch a glimpse of the singer. And when Bieber finally took the stage during the morning show , he didn’t disappoint. “The performance was amazing,” Lacey told MTV News. “We saw his face — his actual personal face. “His new album is definitely his best. He sounds more mature,” she said, before adding that a true Belieber is “someone who would be willing to drive four hours after working an eight-hour shift to catch a mere glimpse of him.” Bieber not only dazzled the crowd with older hits like “Baby” and new cuts off his June 19 release, he also brought rapper Big Sean out to the stage to add a little edge to their new song “As Long as You Love Me.” But that surprise guest was only one of the many moments that had fans swooning. Julieta said, “My favorite part of the concert was when he sang ‘Die in Your Arms,’ because he just showed the romantic side of him.” While Julieta liked the set most when Bieber kicked it new school, another fan, Kim, enjoyed hearing Bieber pull out one of his My World standards. “I really liked when he sang ‘Baby’ because it just kind of brought back old times,” she said. “And it was cool: My favorite song is ‘All Around the World’ cause it’s really upbeat and catchy.” Bieber drops his new album, Believe, on Tuesday. He’s also set to hit the road for a tour later this year. And if the TV performance was any indication of what the tour will be like, his fans should be stoked. “He was jumping up and down and he was dancing,” Grace said of Friday’s set. “And it just made the crowd more excited.” Are you excited for Justin’s album next week? Flashing her nipple and bum are pretty tame compared to some of Madonna’s most controversial acts. By Gil Kaufman Britney Spears and Madonna Photo: When you build your career on constant shock-and-aw-nah-she-didn’t stunts, when it comes to something as mundane as flashing some skin, well, you can understand if we’re not freaking out. But, even though she’s burned crosses, hitchhiked nude, simulated more sex on stage than most of us will ever have in real life and pissed off the Vatican for decades, people could not get enough of Madonna’s latest attempts at outrage over the past week. After first exposing her nipple during a show in Istanbul, the 53-year-old pop icon dropped trou and gave fans in Rome a shot of her taught, toned full moon , leaving some to wonder: what’s next? It was just the latest in a career-long series of outrageous moments that have helped Madonna grab headlines and eyeballs for more than three decades. Here’s a look at 5 of Madonna’s most controversial career escapades. Molly folly : At March’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami Madonna drew the ire of EDM star Deadmau5 when she asked the crowd if they had “seen Molly?” The seeming wink-wink nod to the drug ecstasy angered Deadmau5, who slammed the singer for seemingly promoting drug use. Cross to bear : Though now a follower of the Jewish mystical sect of Kabbalah, Madonna was raised Catholic and has spent her career exorcising her religious demons. On her 2006 Confessions tour she pissed off the Vatican when she spent time hanging from a mirror cross and wearing a crown of thorns during “Live to Tell.” Catholics were none too happy in 1989, either, when she sported stigmata and danced amid burning crosses in her “Like a Prayer” video. Britney tonsil hockey : Just when you thought she had no outrage left in the tank, Madonna set tongues wagging once again in 2003 when she gave Britney Spears a long, tongue-filled open mouth kiss. F-bombs away! : Way before there were viral videos, Madge created an overnight must-see when she sat down with talk show host David Letterman, lit up a stogie and proceeded to drop the f-bomb more than a dozen times to the usually unflappable Letterman’s surprise. Sex manual : She launched herself into international stardom in 1984 by rolling around on the MTV VMA stage in a wedding dress while singing “Live a Virgin,” filmed the not-safe-for-TV “Justify My Love” clip, simulated onstage masturbation on her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. But Madonna was just getting started and somehow caused jaws to drop even further in 1992 when she released the “Sex” book. The three-million-plus-selling softcore pornographic book featured copious amounts of S&M play, tons of nudity and kinky shots of the singer with everyone from rappers Big Daddy Kane and Vanilla Ice to model Naomi Campbell and gay porn star Joey Stefano. Former Fugees singer could face up to three years in prison if found guilty for failing to file income-tax returns. By Rob Markman Lauryn Hill Photo: David Wolff-Patrick/ Redferns/ Getty Images Fourteen years after she released her classic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the IRS is teaching the former Fugees singer a lesson on the importance of filing her taxes. Lauryn Hill was charged Thursday (June 7) with failing to file three years of income-tax returns, and now the government is looking to settle the score. A press release issued to MTV News states that Hill, who owns four different corporations, makes most of her money from music and film royalties. In the three years in which Hill failed to file, the IRS estimates that she’s earned more than $1.6 million in income. If found guilty, she could face up to three years in prison and a $300,000 fine. The news comes just days after Hill performed in her native New Jersey at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert, surprising concertgoers with a short but impactful performance. She was a special guest during Nas’ set and performed the Fugees’ “Ready or Not,” her own “Lost Ones” and “If I Ruled the World” with the Queensbridge rap legend. Hill was originally scheduled to come out as a guest during Nicki MInaj’s set, but after a Hot 97 DJ insulted the Young Money queen, Lil Wayne insisted that none of his artists perform at the concert. While Hill admitted that she was unaware of the specifics, she issued a statement in support of Minaj . “I don’t have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs and walking with integrity,” she wrote. “We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics.” Hill is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.
