Rihanna Goes Off On Twitter (Again) After Dutch Mag Calls Her “N***a B***h”

Read the original here:

Rihanna is again the victim of racism. Dutch magazine Jackie recently did a fashion story about how to dress like the trendsetting superstar and, in turn, called her “the ultimate n***ab***h.” The English translation read: “She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat. Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate n***ab***h and displays that gladly, and for her, that means: what’s on can come off. If that means she’ll be on stage half-naked, then so be it. But Dutch winters aren’t like Jamaican ones, so pick a clothing style in which your daughter can resist minus ten. No to the big sunglasses and the pornheels, and yes to the tiger print, pink shizzle and everything that glitters. Now let’s hope she won’t beat anybody up at daycare.” Rihanna got wind of this and naturally took to Twitter to express her outrage and disgust. She wrote to the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Eva Hoeke: “@evajackie I hope u can read english, because your magazine is a poor representation of the evolution of human rights! I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!! You ran out of legit, civilized information to print! There are 1000′s of Dutch girls who would love to be recognized for their contributions to your country, you could have given them an article. Instead, u paid to print one degrading an entire race! That’s your contribution to this world! To encourage segregation, to mislead the future leaders to act in the past! You put two words together, with the intent of abasement, that made no sense…”N***A B***H”?!….Well with all respect, on behalf of my race, here are my two words for you…F**K YOU!!!” Eva attempted to apologize via the magazine’s Facebook page : “First: thanks for all your responses. We are of course very fed up over this and especially very shocked. However I’m glad that we’re engaging in a dialogue on this page — not everybody does that. Thanks for this. Other than that I can be brief about this: this should have never happened. Period. While the author meant no harm — the title of the article was intended as a joke — it was a bad joke, to say the least. And that slipped through my, the editor-in-chief’s, fingers. Stupid, painful and sucks for all concerned. The author has been addressed on it, and now I can only ensure that these terms will no longer end up in the magazine. Furthermore I hope that you all believe there was absolutely no racist motive behind the choice of words. It was stupid, it was naive to think that this was an acceptable form of slang — you hear it all the time on tv and radio, then your idea of what is normal apparently shifts — but it was especially misguided: there was no malice behind it. We make our magazine with love, energy and enthusiasm, and it can sometimes happen that someone is out of line. And then you can only do one thing: apologize. And hope that others wish to accept it. From the bottom of my heart I say it again: we never intended to offend anyone. And I mean that. Regards, Eva Hoeke” We have no words. Earlier this week , Rihanna encountered a racist hotel guest while over in Portugal. She revealed details of that incident on Twitter, as well. READ HERE! I’m Ellie, I’m 14 years old from Liverpool and…

I’m Ellie, I’m 14 years old from Liverpool and I’ve been a Belieber since the first time I saw Justin in 2009. Never in a million years did I think I’d become so obsessed, but I did! My love for him just grew and grew. First on the 5th of June 2010, Justin followed me on Twitter , at the time, it was the best moment of my entire life! Then on the 13th of November 2010, I bought tickets for the My World Tour, which was just indescribable! 10th of March, Justin stayed in the Beatles hotel in Liverpool and of course everyone found out and caused a riot outside. While I was outside, I met Dan Kanter, Ryan Good, saw Kenny, Alison and Alfredo. Later in the night, Justin came on his balcony and that was the first moment I’d ever seen him in real life. Everything around me just froze, it was like on big dream. Then the next day, 11th of March 2011 I went to the My World Tour, which was one of the most unreal nights of my entire LIFE, we was so close to the stage and everything was just perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Nothing will ever beat that feeling! When I got home from the concert, I just had to get tickets for another one, so I did! I got tickets for the 21st of March which was in Manchester which was again one of the best experiences of my life!! Once that night had ended, I had nothing to look forward to, but I never stopped believing that i’d meet Justin. Then on the 20th July 2011 Justin Dm’ed me!!! My heart dropped when I opened the message and I just burst into tears. After that day I still believed I would meet him, I always have. Then a competition called, ‘Come Round’ happened, we had to have a Justin Party and take a picture and the picture with the most ‘likes’ on Facebook in a week won 10 meet and greets, it was the most stressful, sleepless week of my life. But of course it was worth it and I would do it over and over and over again because WE WON!!! With over 8,800 likes on our photo ! The day came, we traveled six hours to London and was given golden wristbands which meant we go into Justin’s Christmas light switch on in Westfield in the VIP area and after the concert we’d go backstage and meet him! Already it was the best day of my life, just the whole experience was just indescribable! Then Justin came on stage, the moment we seen him, we DIED. He looked unreal and sang perfectly! The concert was amazing and we met Scrappy and saw Alfredo and Dan! Then the time came were we was getting escorted backstage, I was shaking, it felt so weird, I didn’t believe it was all happening! I’ve never been so happy in all of my life, then we got brought into the room with Justin the moment I seen him, I just froze, I didn’t want to cry in front of him so I held myself together. He was standing waiting for us with the biggest smile on his face, as soon as we went over to him we got a photo! Then I turned around and looked at Justin and the only words that came out was, “I love you Justin” and then thats were the crying started, he looked right into my eyes and said “I love you too, thank you”. He told us all he loved us and said thank you and bye to us. My heart was in my mouth I could not believe it! I can’t even begin to describe how I felt, so so so so so happy, that’s all I can say. Then that same week I got a call off my friend telling me we’d won another competition which was to go to Justin’s ITV special, This is Justin Bieber. OMG I couldn’t believe my luck, things like this never happened to me! Then on the 13th of November me and my friend Faye went to London again. We got to the ITV studios early and just by luck got brought in through the back into Justins Pre-recording/Soundcheck. I’m still not over it. IT WAS UNREAL. Later on we went back for the actual show, Justin sang beautifully and he was so funny and nice to us all. It was so crazy, it was it was normal to be around him because of how normal he was treating us. He then grabbed my hand 7 TIMES!!  I cant even, it was just actually AMAZING. Then to top it all off, on the way out of the Studios, we noticed Scrappy standing by the stage, we shouted and waved at him and he called us over, as we was walking over to him, my legs were like jelly I did not know what was going on. When we got over to him he said, “You was the first person to notice me so…” And then he went and pulled JUSTIN’S GLOVE that he had just worn for 3 hours out of his pocket and gave it to us. I cant even explain my feelings, its just all unreal, I’m so lucky. NEVER SAY NEVER. -@loveyoubiebzz See the original post: I’m Ellie, I’m 14 years old from Liverpool and…

Sanaa Lathan Responds To “Backing It Up On Kobe” Rumors!

Read the original:

Actress Sanaa Lathan, has been linked to celebs like Denzel Washington and Drake, but now she is being accused of “backing it up” on Kobe Bryant at a recent “Watch The Throne” concert. Bryant, who is being divorced by wife Vanessa, has been known to cheat so this would come as no surprise…that is, if we believed for one second that Sanaa is a home-wrecker. The Daily News reported: “According to our source, Lathan, 40, who’s the voice of Donna Tubbs on “The Cleveland Show,” came to the concert with a girlfriend, and Bryant, 33, who was with teammate Matt BarnesKim Kardashian , Beyoncé and Jake Gyllenhaal were among the other celebs in attendance. and a bodyguard, were initially seated on adjacent couches in the club-like friends-and-family VIP area behind center stage. Eventually, Lathan and Bryant ended up standing next to each other, and that’s when our source said the actress, who was drinking champagne, became progressively more flirtatious with the NBA star, who stuck to soft drinks, presumably because he’s in training. Lathan, attired in a sexy white-chiffon dress over what appeared to be a black bra, was “whispering in his ear” and at one point stroked the ballplayer’s face. “It seemed like a pretty intimate gesture,” says the source. At one point she left her seat and when she came back, she made sure she was standing next to Kobe again,” says the source She also danced to Jay-Z and West’s performance in front of Bryant. “She was throwing her head everywhere. Her hair was like slapping him in the face,” laughs the source, who adds that at one point, one of the straps of Lathan’s dressed slipped enticingly off her shoulder. When West performed “All of the Lights,” Bryant and Lathan danced together.” Sanaa responded on Twitter saying: Can a girl have some fun at a jayz/kanye concert w/out being linked 2 a breakup? I AM NOT, NEVER HAVE BEEN, INVOVLED W/KOBE IN ANY WAY. Anybody who pays attention knows I’m not his type… Blank stare. #blackgirlsrock #dontbelievethelies How Kobe’s Wife Found Out About His Alleged Cheating Vanessa Bryant Files For Divorce From Kobe

Jay-Z ‘Bothered’ By Plight Of Undereducated Youth

‘They can’t further their education because of their situation, because of money,’ Hov tells MTV News. By Rob Markman Jay-Z Photo: MTV News It is Jay-Z ‘s competitive spirit that has made him one of the best rappers of all time as well as one of hip-hop’s most successful businesspeople. However, when it comes to his charitable efforts, Hov is driven by something very different: his desire to share his wealth of experience with the world. “You’ve been blessed. Your talent has taken you to places you never thought you would see. I just think as a compassionate human being, you want people to see,” Jay told MTV News before describing the first time he saw Italy. Hov, who was amazed with his own early travels abroad, called an old friend and urged him to “pack a bag” because he simple had to see Italy. On December 8, the God MC announced that he would be playing two benefit shows at New York’s Carnegie Hall , the proceeds from which will go to the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. The money raised will help put low-income NYC students in a position to attend college. Back in September, the Shawn Carter Foundation threw a fundraising carnival on the west side of Manhattan where celebrity guests like New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and pitcher C.C. Sabathia bought high-priced tickets to help Hov’s cause. All the Watch the Throne MC wants to do is create an opportunity. To help illustrate his interest in helping to educate young people, Jay quoted a line from the final scene of the 1993 Robert De Niro film “A Bronx Tale”: “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.” “That really bothers me, someone who really applies themselves and wants to go and they can’t further their education because of their situation, because of money or because they have to stay in the house to watch their [siblings],” Jay told MTV News. “Something about that really bothers me.” Jay and his mother, Gloria Carter, started the Shawn Carter foundation in 2002 to help those facing socioeconomic difficulties further their education at institutions of higher learning. The foundation started with one student earning a full ride through college and grew to offer 50 scholarships to students in 50 different states annually. To date, more than 750 students have been awarded scholarships totaling in excess of $1.3 million. Tickets for the Carnegie Hall shows, which will take place on February 6 and 7, will be sold privately and priced at a premium rate, fetching anywhere from $500 to $2,500 to raise a significant pot of money for the charity. Regular fans aren’t completely shut out though. On January 30, a number of reasonably priced tickets will go on sale to the public. The publicly sold seats are being released close to the concert date in hopes of curtailing scalping. “We’re not just doing a show for the sake of it,” Hov said. “For all these years, [the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation has] been really grassroots. My mom has been getting on the bus herself and taking kids to orientation and doing this work by herself. Now … we’re building this thing out.” Related Artists Jay-Z

‘VH1 Divas’ History: From Katy Perry To Kelly Clarkson

This year’s show, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT Monday on VH1, will feature Florence Welch and a tribute to Amy Winehouse. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: Getty Images Sunday night (December 18), some of the music industry’s most-soulful divas will be taking the stage for the latest installment of “VH1 Divas.” For some, like Kelly Clarkson , it’s a return engagement, but for others, like Florence and the Machine leading lady Florence Welch, it’s the chance to display diva-like prowess for the first time. Since the show kicked off in 1998, it’s had a long history of getting some of the biggest female performers in the world on the same stage belting out some of pop’s best tunes. That first show gathered Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Shania Twain and Mariah Carey, quickly becoming a pop-culture milestone. It even prompted the ladies of “Saturday Night Live” to poke fun at the over-the-top singing styles and personalities of the women chosen for the show. In the 11 years since the premiere episode of the concert special, everyone from old-school belters to new-school singing sensations have been billed as “divas.” The show ran annually until 2004, after which it took a break for several years. By the time the show was re-launched in 2009, a whole new crop of pop superstars had emerged. In ’09, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, Adele and Miley Cyrus proved their diva status, taking the stage and ushering in a new era. A year later, in 2010, Nicki Minaj, Sugarland, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Keri Hilson, Paramore and Katy Perry brought some new-millennium glamour to the show. That year, the show was dedicated to supporting soldiers and billed “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops” event. This year’s show, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT Monday on VH1, will bring Clarkson, Welch, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott and Jessie J to the stage. In a tribute introduced by Nas, Welch, Wanda Jackson, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will honor late soul singer Amy Winehouse . VH1 also will pay tribute to the prominent birthplaces of soul music, including Chicago, Detroit, London, Philadelphia and Memphis, Tennessee. The divas are expected to pay homage to these cities and the genre with their own soulful tracks as well as some of soul music’s classic tunes onstage at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. And the celebration is not exclusive to women: The Roots have been confirmed as the event’s house band, and ?uestlove is set to pull double duty as musical director. Boyz II Men and Travie McCoy also will perform. “VH1 Divas” airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT Monday on VH1. My name’s Claudia and I’ve actually had two Justin…

My name’s Claudia and I’ve actually had two Justin Bieber experiences and I must say they were the absolute BEST moments of my life! I’ve been a fan of Justin from the first time I heard him on Youtube before he was even anything. To meet him was my dream, little did I know my dream would come true. The first time I met Justin was back on October 22, 2009 before he got really big. He was performing at the Steamtown Mall, a mall in Pennsylvania which is like 45 minutes away from where I live. I was soo excited to go to this, just to see him having no clue I would be able to meet him! Then two days before the concert, my friend and I entered a radio contest for 2 people to meet him. When my friend found out she won, and said she was taking me I was freaking out! I don’t think I’ve ever screamed that loud before! When I finally met Justin, I was shaking, I was so happy! He was honestly the sweetest person ever. He truly does love his fans. I got autographs and of course a picture , which is included above. The second was August 21 of 2011. We went to Hershey Park for my brothers birthday. We had no clue that Selena Gomez was performing there that night until we got there. It was funny because when I found out that Selena and All Star Weekend were performing, I said to my family and my friend, “If I see all star weekend here I’m going to be so happy!” because I love them too, and my dad said “Yeah you’ll probably see Justin and Selena walking around holding hands” and I said “Yeah right”. The day went on and we stopped to get french fries, when a man who worked there came up to my friend and said, “I’m going to make your day.” Here I am thinking he’s going to tell a stupid joke or something and then he says, “Do you like Justin Bieber?” and of course I was like, “YES!” He said, “Word on the street is him and Selena Gomez are going to be over by the Wildcat in a few minutes!” I was freaking out and we ran over, and there they were buying Dippin’ Dots! It was seriously the coolest thing ever! I was sooo excited to see him again!  -@claudiamonea More here: My name’s Claudia and I’ve actually had two Justin…
