Mae Young, Longtime WWE Star, Passes Away at 90

Mae Young, a WWE legend who continued to be involved in professional wrestling well into her 70s, passed away yesterday at her home in South Carolina. She was 90 years old. The legend’s death was erroneously reported by multiple outlets (including THG) last week after she was hospitalized on December 31 and then moved to hospice care. But WWE officials have now confirmed Young’s passing, though an exact cause of death was not given for the woman who broke into the business in the 1940s and became the only individual to compete in eight different decades. We send our condolences to Young’s family and we encourage readers to watch this WWE-sponsored video in her honor: Mae Young Tribute

Teen Turned Away from Prom Due to Breast Size?

A student at Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, Washington says she was turned away from her senior prom last month due to the size of her breasts. According to Brittany Minder, she showed up for the event in a low-cut gown and was told she wasn’t permitted to come inside because it was too revealing. “In my opinion, I feel that it is because I’m bigger chested and there is more cleavage that you can see, and there’s nothing I could really do about that,” Minder told KATU. The school’s dress code permits a strapless dress of this nature… as long as cleavage, midriff and lower back areas are properly covered. “All women are not created equal, and you cannot compare a golf ball to a grapefruit. It ain’t gonna happen,” said Brittany’s mom, Kim Minder. Brittany was eventually allowed to enter the prom once she covered her boobs with a shawl. But she only stuck around for an hour because she says the look made her feel “self-conscious.” “An important night of my life was ruined, and there’s no way I can gain that experience back,” she says.

Ho Sit Down! Mike Huckabee Calls School Shooting ‘No Surprise…We’ve ‘Systematically Removed God’ From Schools’

Whatever happened to just offering your condolences ?? According to The Huffington Post : Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee (R) weighed in on the massacre at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, saying the crime was no surprise because we have “systematically removed God” from public schools. “We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we have systematically removed God from our schools,” Huckabee said on Fox News. “Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?” This line of reasoning isn’t new for Huckabee. Speaking about a mass shooting in Aurora, Colo. over the summer, the former GOP presidential candidate claimed that such violent episodes were a function of a nation suffering from the removal of religion from the public sphere. “We don’t have a crime problem, a gun problem or even a violence problem. What we have is a sin problem,” Huckabee said on Fox News. “And since we’ve ordered God out of our schools, and communities, the military and public conversations, you know we really shouldn’t act so surprised … when all hell breaks loose.” How about we put more money in to our health system and mental care instead of pointing fingers and blaming religion?
