14 Things Kanye West Actually Said in His Meeting with Donald Trump

Kanye West thinks he is doing his best to make America great again. On October 11, the controversial rapper met with the even more controversial President to discuss… … well, we have no idea, really. At one point, Kanye confirmed that he wants to abolish the 13th amendment . At another point, he bragged about how much money he'smade with his shoe deal. It such a rant from West that Trump was actually left speechless. He had no idea what to say when it was all over. And we can't really blame him. How does anyone respond to the following Kanye West quotes? 1. On Wearing His MAGA Hat “They tried to scare me into not wearing this hat. But this hat gives me power.” 2. More About His MAGA Hat: “You made a Superman cape for me.” 3. On the Inspiration That Is Donald Trump: “You gave me the heart to go to Adidas.” (He then talked for awhile about how popular his shoes are and how he’s a billionaire.) 4. The Most Important Thing a President Can Do: “It’s more important than any specific thing that we bring jobs into America. 5. Yes, He Wants to Abolish the Anti-Slavery Amendment: “I did say abolish the 13th amendment because it’s a trap door… you gotta remove the trap doors.” (Oh, okay then.) 6. Trap Doors Suck! “There’s a lot of things affecting mental health that makes us do crazy things that puts us back in that trap door called the 13th amendment.” View Slideshow

Jeremy Calvert: Wait, is He Returning to Teen Mom 2?!?

Jeremy Calvert has said in the past that Teen Mom 2 is phony, negative, contentious and all-around terrible. But the veteran reality star simply can’t stay away. Not even previously claiming he was totally and completely outta there. Back in late June, Calvert made a relatively quiet exit from the series that has made him sort of famous. Asked at the time by OK! Weekly whether he would be returning for future episodes of the show, Calvert replied simply: ” Nope, I’m not .” That was pretty much all we heard from the Leah Messer’s ex-husband (and second baby daddy), unless you count that random time this summer he rushed to the defense of Farrah Abraham . Now, however, the same tabloid to whom Calvert gave his initial quote is confirming the opposite: OK! now writes that Jeremy will be returning to Teen Mom 2 after all. The major news comes on the heels of Calvert posting a photo to Instagram of MTV cameras inside his car, further hammering home the idea that we have not yet seen the last of this controversial cast member. On one hand, this is not surprising. Despite their shoddy history as a couple and also as a former couple, feelings clearly still exist between Calvert and Messer. The stars absolutely got it on (read: had sexual intercourse) just a few months ago. On the other hand, this decision is very surprising. We say that because Calvert has been a vocal opponent of the franchise for over a year now. In 2017, as he and Leah filmed scenes about a potential reconciliation of their romance, Calvert jumped on his Instagram page and ranted about the way he was being portrayed by producers. And we mean… he RANTED! “All they want is the negative editing, arguments, fights, disagreements so they can f-cking make a show,” he said, pretty much stating the obvious about any reality show and adding: “If you people are that goddamn stupid to not see that, what the f-ck is your problem?… It’s not f-cking hard to put two and two together, people… “Yes, MTV just wants drama, people!” (At other points, Calvert hollered about how the sky is blue, the Pope is Catholic and Scott Disick is a douchebag.) Calvert also target Teen Mom 2 viewers via this diatribe, which continued as follows: “F-cking people think they know everything. They can f-cking f-ck off and jump off a f-cking bridge and die for all I care.” If he hates it so much, why hasn’t Calvert just quit for good and for real? “Everybody keeps saying, ‘Oh you can stop filming… at any time you want to,'” he wrote to folks who suggested this. “No motherf-ckers you can’t. You signed a contract. So no you can’t. You don’t know anything about the contract.” Fair enough. We do know a lot about Calvert, however. And, based on the angry barrage of messages above, you can understand why we’re psyched to have him back in our lives, can’t you? View Slideshow: Teen Mom Couples: RANKED From Worst to First!

Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom: HA! It’s a Failure Without Me!

Teen Mom OG returned to the air on October 1, with one very obvious change: Farrah Abraham is no longer a cast member. She was fired in February and replaced by two additions: Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd. How did the Season 8 premiere fare without this controversial reality star on board? Below, we relay the opening ratings and then we share Abraham's calm, cool and collected reaction to how the program is doing thus far without her polarizing presence… 1. The New Cast Here they are: Amber, Maci, Catelynn, Cheyenne and Bristol. MTV is banking on this quintet to draw in the ratings for Season 8. 2. Was the Premiere a Hit? Based on buzz, maybe. The Internet wrote a lot about Bristol and her marital problems. Based on ratings, however? Well… 3. Under a Million Viewers Tuned In According to Ratings by the Numbers, the Season 8 premiere drew in 957,000 viewers for its original airing at 9/8c on Monday, October 1. 4. Can We Compare This to The Season 7 Premiere? Of course. On November 27, 2017 — a premiere that featured Abraham in all her Farrah glory – 1.319 million viewers were viewing MTV to see what these women were up to. 5. As for the Season 7 Finale? That episode garnered 1.098 million viewers, meaning there was a pretty significant drop-off from those who were curious to see what Farrah was doing to those who tuned in for the debut of Bristol and Chyenne. 6. Was This Really a Reflection of Farrah Getting Fired? We mean… perhaps. There’s no real way of knowing. But ratings across the board have been dropping on television as streaming services take off, viewers have more options and the use of DVR explodes. View Slideshow

Discrimination Lawsuit That Followed Bill Maher’s Use Of The N-Word Is Moving Forward

See the rest here:

Source: Jeff Kravitz / Getty Many might remember talk show host Bill Maher  referring to himself as a “house n*gger”  back in June 2017 , which caused a major media backlash. Over a year later, the dust has somewhat settled, however the ripple effects of the incident are still being felt thanks to one lawsuit. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Shonitria Anthony was an editor at the Los Angeles-based news site ATTN: around the same time Maher made his controversial statements. The site is all about raising social consciousness for millennials. However, Anthony wasn’t feeling too comfortable at the publication after Bill’s words, considering he is one of ATTN:’s investors. She organized her Black co-workers and asked for a company meeting regarding Maher’s use of the N-word. She also pointed out that there weren’t any people of color in upper management and suggested there be more represented, especially in the human resources department. Soon after Anthony brought these things up, she says she was subjected to adverse employment actions that eventually led to her termination in August. In March 2018 , Anthony filed a lawsuit against ATTN: and its top executives, claiming they fired her out of retaliation for her outspokenness on race. ATTN: says Anthony’s firing had nothing to do with this, but she was let go as part of a business strategy to shift to video. After a Los Angeles Superior Court heard Anthony’s case, they ruled that she has probability of prevailing on her retaliation and discrimination claims. The judge argued that she submitted enough evidence on how she experienced setbacks at the office almost immediately after she protested conditions.  This led the judge to believe that Anthony’s firing was done with “a discriminatory intent.” Now ATTN: is heading to a California appeals court where they’ll have to establish the legitimacy of their actions. Meanwhile, Anthony continues to seek damages for mental and emotional distress, lost wages, and punitive damages.

Kanye West: Kim Kardashian Almost Divorced Me Over Slavery Comments!

Remember back in May when Kanye West said slavery was a choice and was justly torn limb-from-limb by the entire internet? Perhaps after weeks of concerted effort, you succeeded in blocking that shameful incident from your memory — but it’s still very much on the minds of both Kanye and his long-suffering wife. Earlier this month, Kanye debuted a new studio album , on which he made some surprising and disturbing revelations about his marriage and the way it’s been negatively affected by his erratic behavior. Now, the controversial rapper has gone into greater detail in a surprisingly candid interview with The New York Times . West says that after he made the infamous slavery comment during a conversation with TMZ staffers, he had reason to believe Kim Kardashian was considering ending the couple’s four-year marriage: “There was a moment where I felt like after TMZ, maybe a week after that, I felt like the energy levels were low, and I called different family members and was asking, you know, ‘Was Kim thinking about leaving me after TMZ?’ So that was a real conversation,” he told the paper. The comment won’t come as much of a surprise for fans who have listened closely to the lyrics on Kanye’s eighth studio album, titled simply ‘Ye : “I said, ‘Slavery a choice,’ they said, ‘How, Ye?'” West raps at one point, adding: “My wife callin’, screamin’, say, ‘We ’bout to lose it all! … Told her she could leave me now, but she wouldn’t leave.” Obviously, not every line in every rap song is an accurate reflection of the emcee’s real-life experiences, but Kanye prides himself on his authenticity and often insists that he’s 100 percent straightforward with his fans. That’s why it’s so troubling that the song contains at least one line in which he seemingly alluded to being unfaithful. “Told my wife I’ve never seen her After I hit it, bye Felicia, that’s the way that I’ma leave it,” Kanye raps on a song fittingly titled “Yikes”. Sounds like Kim had reasons for considering kicking Kanye to the curb that go beyond his astonishingly ignorant remarks. As for those dreadful comments Kanye is still defending them, telling the Times : “I said the idea of sitting in something for 400 years sounds—sounds—like a choice to me, I never said it’s a choice. I never said slavery itself—like being shackled in chains—was a choice. “That’s why I went from slave to 400 years to mental prison to this and that. If you look at the clip you see the way my mind works.” All of this comes at a time when Kim is being praised for her efforts to secure presidential pardons for non-violent offenders serving life sentences. In other words, don’t be surprised if you hear another round of Kim-Kanye divorce rumors . View Slideshow: Kanye West Gets ROASTED on Twitter For Dumb Slavery Comment

The Stage Is Set: Michael Jackson Musical Heads To Broadway

Read the rest here:

Source: Jim Steinfeldt / Getty The King of Pop is headed to New York. According to Variety, The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage announced on Tuesday that a Michael Jackson musical is in the works, inspired by the life of the influential entertainer. The show is expected to play on Broadway in 2020. There is no word on the title of the show or which theater it’ll play in yet. Music for the project will pull from MJ’s catalogue of hits — including “Thriller,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Beat It,” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.” Ballet star and Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon ( An American in Paris ) will direct and choreograph the show. The musical will probably enter the same territory of other “juke box” shows like  J ersey Boys, On Your Feet   and Beautiful which documented the music of folks like The Four Seasons, Gloria Estefan and Carole King respectively. It’s yet to be revealed if the controversial aspects of Michael’s life – his 2005 child sexual abuse trial, the baby dangling, etc. — will be explored like biopics tend to do.  We’ll keep you updated if any major updates should surface. Until then, are you ready to buy your ticket or nah?

Damar Jackson Drops New Video Featuring Gucci Mane Damar Jackson’s latest visual off his album “Unfaithful Deluxe” features Zone 6’s own, Gucci Mane. The song is called “Retawded” but Jackson explains why he chose to use the term despite it being on the controversial side. “Retawded is something that’s big in our culture in Louisiana,” Damar said. ” We use this term in a good way and soon as I heard the beat I knew I was going go crazy. This song touches a lot of people in every city and small town because we all have a Martin Luther King street around the world. And as far as the south, we all know about Circle K. This is the song of the summer with the tempo and bounce. Me and Gucci chopped it up and he knew, as soon as he heard it, that it was a hit. I respect him for rocking wit me and recognizing my art. This is just the beginning of me becoming the new face of RnB.” The “Retwawded” video dropped Thursday, June 7th and already hit nearly well over a million views! Bronx Teacher Made Black Students Lie On Floor Then STEPPED On Them For Lesson About Slavery

(Andrew Lichtenstein/Corbis via Getty Images) White Middle School Teacher Under Fire For Cruel Slavery Lesson Can you imagine sending your children to school only to have their white teacher make them lie on the floor, then step on them, to experience what it’s like to be SLAVES ? According to NY Daily News reports Middle School 118 teacher Patricia Cummings is under fire for her unorthodox teaching methods. Students say about two weeks ago the teacher, who is white, had students in multiple seventh-grade classes lie on the floor as part of a lesson on the Middle Passage, where Africans were kidnapped and brought to America during the slave trade. “It was a lesson about slavery and the Triangle Trade,” said one of Cummings’ students, who asked to remain anonymous. “She picked three of the black kids,” the boy said, and instructed them to get on the floor in front of the class. “She said, ‘You see how it was to be a slave?’ She said, ‘How does it feel?’ ” When a girl on the floor made an uncomfortable joke and said she felt fine, Cummings stepped on her back, the student said. “She put her foot on her back and said ‘How does it feel?’” the student said. “ ‘See how it feels to be a slave?’ ” Cummings was removed from the classroom for several days after the incident, but returned to class and was in school Thursday. Cummings, who makes $68,934 a year, was reassigned away from children later in the day after the Daily News contacted the city Education Department about her controversial lesson. “While the investigation has not been completed, these are deeply disturbing allegations, and the alleged behavior has no place in our schools or in society,” said Education Department spokeswoman Toya Holness. MS 118 Principal Giulia Cox declined to comment. Cummings students say she delivered the lesson after showing a video of slaves being beaten, tortured and thrown over the side of a ship. “She had students lie on the floor,” said another kid who was in one of the lessons. “She was measuring the length and width to show how little space slaves had in the ship. It was strange.” Cummings declined to speak with the NY Daily News when contacted. If your child was one of her students, how would you want the situation handled?

Missouri State Student Emails Every Claudia on Campus After Accidental Left-Swipe

A Missouri State student named Hayden accidentally swiped left on a beautiful female student named Claudia’s Tinder profile, and responded by sending an email to every single Claudia with a plea to let him undo his mistake. Is this adorable? Creepy? Both? You’ll have to read and decide for yourself. And, of course, then there’s the intended Claudia’s response. “Hello all Claudias of Missouri State,” his email begins. We don’t know how many Claudias that includes. It’s a great name with a great history, but kind of rare. Even rare names can crop up a lot when you’re talking about a student body population of about 26,000 students. “First off, my name is Hayden, and I made a rookie mistake on Tinder. I accidentally swiped left on Claudia’s profile (left is bad), and I really wanted to swipe right.” Oh gosh. “If Tinder provided last names, this would be much easier, but it doesn’t, so I have to describe the profile to you.” This is taking those old “missed connection” stories and adding another layer. Color us intrigued. “The age next to her name was 20, but in her bio it said she was actually 18 and didn’t know how to change it.” It sounds like they have similar proficiencies in using Tinder. Kind of a promising start to their relationship? “The pictures she provided had some with her friends and her mom in them. In her bio she said some of her friends were single and if anyone liked them better that’s fine but they couldn’t have her mom (had me deat btw).” Yeah that’s genuinely funny. “So, like I said, I meant to swipe right but that didn’t happen.” That can happen to anyone if they’re just flipping through profiles and make the motion one time too many by mistake, but maybe he’s  “My instagram is Hayden.Moll if you want to look me up.” He has almost no photos on there. It’s hard to tell if he sanitized his profile just for the occasion or if he just needs to get better friends if he wants an Instagram profile that’s going to grab a thirsty fellow student’s attention. “I’m just asking, if this is your profile that I described, please message me back with ‘right’ or ‘left’ just so I know if you’re interested or not.” Like a do-it-yourself Tinder. Amazing. But what is he hoping to get out of all of this? “If you choose ‘right’ we could totally get some doughnuts or something but if you choose ‘left’ that’s cool too. No worries!” That’s a polite thing to say. In part for politeness but also because, well, sometimes when men feel rejected they respond with murder. Hayden was good to include that reassurance.  “If it’s none of you Claudias and you know even more Claudias, spread the word please. It would be much appreciated!” Well, the young woman in question did reveal herself. Her name is Claudia Alley. Public responses have ranged from comments admiring the story to finding humor in it to others disparaging them or the entire idea of meeting someone through an app. “He was smitten..” “He was desperate to meet her because he could just sense she has a great personality.” “She just wants to know who does his eyebrows.” “Um, stalking?” “That twink is out of his league.” “I feel sorry for people out there that cyber stalk someone before and rely on screens during courtship.” “No dear, not creepy at all.” What matters, though, is what Claudia thinks of all of this. Apparently, she’s not only entertained by the story going viral — she’s also amused enough by his endearing email that she’s agreed to go out to get doughnuts with him. A lot of the time, viral relationships like this fall apart. You know what else falls apart? Non-viral relationships. Not everybody clicks. That doesn’t mean that we need to start singing a funeral dirge for this “relationship.” They’re literally just going out for doughnuts. We would point out though that Hayden seems to be pretty tall and Claudia is either exclusively friends with Amazonians or is extremely short. Sometimes height differences are the secret ingredient that make relationships click and stick. We hope that they’re both better at a doughnut date than they are at using Tinder.
